7 With every ounce of my strength and determination, I will ensure the heavy price paid by people like Aaron to protect our rights and freedoms, will not be usurped, stolen or obfuscated by cowards who hide behind middle-of-the-night despotism under the guise of "safety".

Every last loathsome legislative participant involved in passing the so-called SAFE Act should be removed from office.  And the good citizens left in this state will ensure that electoral defeat occurs.

Harvey Levin from TMZ reporting on Greta things didn't go well negotiating with A and E, and the probability is it won't go into production in season four.

Also, if the ducks refuse to work for A and E, they will be forced to sit out their contract period which is one additional year.

Game on!

He thinks that they do have some sort of non-compete clause in their contracts for a certain period of time. Harvey is gay but he's being pretty even handed on this. 103 That explains The Great Hobo Culling of 1946 after the war ended.

109 I received an email from Boehner one day this week, he reads each & every Christmas card he gets. I got a fifth, maybe sixth, letter from Mitch McConnell asking for my support. He wants me to set up a “Kitchen Cabinet” for him in the small city near Boston that I live in! I have thrown all of his appeals in the recycle bin. I pulled it out of the pile so I could use his words.

124 We have to learn the art of anger. Don't rush, don't get all hot and agitated -- just use the anger to drive you toward your goal. I love the emotional appeal here, but he's too anxious to reach a climax and leave. Find the anger, savor it, draw it out, learn how to use it instead of it using you.

127 O/T Has anyone mentioned Mark Steyn's new post just up on NRO? Here's the link: http://tinyurl.com/mtl5rft Here's an excerpt: Some of my comrades, who really should know better, wonder why, instead of insisting Robertson be defenestrated, GLAAD wouldn’t rather “start a conversation.” But, if you don’t need to, why bother? Most Christian opponents of gay marriage oppose gay marriage; they don’t oppose the right of gays to advocate it. Yet thug groups like GLAAD increasingly oppose the right of Christians even to argue their corner. It’s quicker and more effective to silence them. As Christian bakers ordered to provide wedding cakes for gay nuptials and many others well understand, America’s much-vaunted “freedom of religion” is dwindling down to something you can exercise behind closed doors in the privacy of your own abode or at a specialist venue for those of such tastes for an hour or so on Sunday morning, but when you enter the public square you have to leave your faith back home hanging in the closet. Yet even this reductive consolation is not permitted to Robertson: GLAAD spokesgay Wilson Cruz declared that “Phil and his family claim to be Christian, but Phil’s lies about an entire community fly in the face of what true Christians believe.” Robertson was quoting the New Testament, but hey, what do those guys know? In today’s America, land of the Obamacare Pajama Boy, Jesus is basically Nightshirt Boy, a fey non-judgmental dweeb who’s cool with whatever. What GLAAD is attempting would be called, were it applied to any other identity group, “cultural appropriation.” Read the whole thing - it is one of the things yet written about this watershed moment in the culture wars.

130 I expect most here have read it but Ace might not appreciate a link. I liked how the author made it so the real targets weren't the VIP's, but the protection. A few here, a few there, and then they all got stomach viruses and can't come in that day, which in turn forces the ever shrinking pool of talent to cover more and more. After a while, they realized that this shit ain't worth it.

Posted by: EC at December 20, 2013 05:52 PM (doBIb)

I thought it was pretty genius of him to come up with that angle. When I thought about it, the strategy makes perfect sense. Why do the heavy lifting of going after VIP's when you can hit perfectly good ones paid to stand in the open? Too much damn trouble. After a certain point in time, you can shift back to your original goal because they're wide open.
