The media's protection of all things Obama is a major factor in the administration's behavior in all of these scandals. The lust for and abuse of power inherent in government, absent the usual checks an active and adverserial press can (if so inclined) provide, has now become apparent. It's not a pretty picture.     

I want to hope that the media is finally fed up with Obama treating them like ass and expecting them to protect him, but I haven't seen enough yet. As of now, I think that they are just trying to get out in front of things so they can simply say "Yeah, it's bad, but it's definitely not worse, nope."

Agreed.  Which is why, in my ideal world, GOP spokesmen or politicians who address this or Benghazi also would be bashing the press for their complicity in covering things up.  If Hillary has Ambassador Stevens' blood on her hands, so does CNN, for accepting her story.

This is a perfect time to fire a broadside at the MFM, if the GOP were smart enough.  Which is why it won't happen.

There are certain universities which perhaps we should look at too.  Well...all of them.  But some are far worse than others.

(I'd start by looking at all Tier 1 research universities, in order of the size of their grants and pharma budgets.)

Wash U once got "in trouble" 'round here, because it was pushing very heavily for the Stem Cell research amendment (which IMHO was crafted to funnel them more money.)  Of course a certain Catholic University used that as cover as to why they wouldn't work against it (aid student groups in working against it.)

Typical.  I got a "Notice of Seizure of Assets" letter from IRS for a 940 payment of ~$780 that they said was late.  Was it late?  No it was not.  In fact, I paid it 21 days early.  They applied it to the wrong account.  I was stunned that they didn't even send a letter saying "Hey - you are late" to a business that had never paid anything late.  Nope - right to seizure of assets for $780.  Fuckers.

We cannot sue people in the Goverrnment.  They are granted immunity if it is part of their job.

They cannot even be held accountable by Congress... because the ONLY power Congress has is the purse... and that power is so constrained by Politics that it is useless.

Hell... Eric Holder is in Contempt of Congress... and the Obama Admin is in contempt of court over drilling....
