— Ace Conspiracy.
As I mentioned below, Megyn Kelly reported the reason for making the claim that these men were "co-conspirators" in a crime was to take advantage of the legal provision that co-conspirators do not have to be advised that a probe has begun against them-- that is, if you allege they're co-conspirators, you do not have to inform the targets, they do not get to send a lawyer to the hearing to plead their side, and the whole investigation is kept a State Secret.
Here's my question:
If James Rosen, William La Jeunesse, and Mike Levine are "co-conspirators" -- officially designated as such by the apparatus of the State -- for talking to a government source, which reporters in Washington are NOT also "co-conspirators"?

And we're the ones referred to derisively as "wingnuts". It's not paranoia when they really are out to get you, and it's been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that Obama et al were decisively out to get "conservatives."

Welp. This could certainly explain the curious silence of one Dana Priest in recent months. She is the WaPo reporter widely believed to have the best sources inside the CIA.
Either she is hiding in fear of this new Inquisition, or she is working on one big-ass story that is going to blow the lid off this thing. A couple weeks ago, I would have assumed it was the latter. Now....not so sure.

Ace, your question is a good one. Unfortunately, the answer is "none." All reporters must be co-conspirators. However, to the degree that their overall behavior pleases the emporer, they are permitted to continue. However, every once in a while, the empire will need to make an example of a reporter or two to ensure that the others don't get too uppity.
For a men's group I am reading a series of essays and articles by C.S. Lewis. He has a frightening yet clear essay on government tyranny in the form of rehabilitation of a condition. (as opposed to a deserved punishment). We are very close to the precipice.

Thanks for reminding me.
Start with the idea that harassment via use of government power is a crime.
Two or more people were involved in doing this illegal action.
That's a bingo, everyone's guilty of a criminal conspiracy too.

If James Rosen, William La Jeunesse, and Mike Levine are "co-conspirators" -- officially designated as such by the apparatus of the State -- for talking to a government source, which reporters in Washington are NOT also "co-conspirators"?
Here's MY question: if Rose, La Jeunesse and Levine were considered "co-conspirators," why were they still provided journalistic access? If someone's guilty of leaking state secrets, wouldn't you see to it that that person is no longer permitted the same kind of access he or she enjoyed before the event? I haven't read anywhere that Rosen, et al, were blocked from continuing their journalistic endeavors. So what's up?
Why, it's almost like they were called "co-conspirators" not so the DOJ could conduct a thorough investigation of alleged criminal wrongdoing, but so that the DOJ could spy on their activities with impunity.

Here's why the MFM is scared of this story, even though it only involves Faux News at this point.
Obama has repeatedly demonstrated that he has no love for the press. Sure he loves fawning media coverage, and he enjoys nothing more than hobnobbing with the rich and famous in the Hollywood elite and the Beltway jetset. But he really can't stand "reporters," especially ones who have the audacity to ask questions or report factoids that make him look bad. Every single member of the MFM knows that Obammy would sic his DOJ on them in the blink of an eye and without a second thought if they crossed him the wrong way. They may talk of journalistic integrity, but not one of them wants to sit in federal prison as a co-conspirator to potential treason.
Faux News has a bullseye painted square on its chest and always has; the MFM recognizes that. Hell, they helped paint it! But they all know that each and every one of them has another, slightly smaller bullseye painted on their backs, right between the shoulder blades, and Obama, Axeldouche and Ratface ValJar are always looking to get some extra target practice.

Obama had to be spying on the left wing media too if only to ensure they weren't going to betray him.
I'd bet money revelations eventually emerge that all news organizations had been spied on.
The media will resist this initially, because it'll make them look like fools and dupes, but eventually they'll realize their very survival is at stake

He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary powers.
He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.
He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.
He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:
For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws, and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:
He has abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us.
In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

I remember the first time I ever had a dog put down (of course, that wasn't long ago- my parents weren't dog people). She, too, got cancer (well, we assume cancer- there were enough stomach tumors that it wasn't even worth investigating). I cried more over her than I did when my Grampa died. I'm not sure of the etymology of legal jargon, but it may refers to a certain level of culpability (co-conspirator vs. full conspirator), or may be used when there are more than two conspirators involved. Or it might just be a relic from some legalese developed centuries ago that's hung on till today.

These guys and girls are hardcore Mil-Sim players. Small group tactics, the whole nine yards.
And at this point, there are a goodly number of recent combat vets playing, and teaching these skills.

I think to today's creative prosecutors use the "co-" to run fishing expeditions under as much legal cover as they can find. Hence the "un-indicted co-conspirator" term meaning we thought you were a ham sammich, but couldn't quite find the mustard after going through a shadowy investigation of your life (or we got told to stand down by our statist superiors because you were a "special person").
