Just trying to keep it from getting stale around here.

Remember that 'Jesus Save Me' ad from Mark Pryor? No? Well, here it is again.

Well, I think I've seen it before.

11 Does anybody watch SharkTank? US version of the British show Dragon's Den. I watched the other night because a local guy was on. He managed to get a deal made; I think he was the only guy who did.

There were also two women who I swear were liberals. They got all defensive and teary-eyed when presented with negative information. They're "committed" and they "feel" that their product will sell well, and apparently that's all that's needed.

Posted by: Mark Pryor at December 08, 2013 10:44 AM (75uvI)

20 I forgot to post this yesterday that the GOP called me asking for $275. I posted to the ONT at 3:05 this am. I am cutting & pasting. I posted & went to sleep. The RNC called me this afternoon. I usually don’t pick up calls that say “private caller” on caller ID but my brother has been gravely ill and in the hospital or a rehab in Maine. I will not go through it again for those who haven’t read about it. when my brother calls from the hospital or rehab both show as private caller. I answer them expecting it to be him. The GOP wanted me to donate $275 as a starting point. I yelled at the man & told him that I am pissed off at the Rs with no guts, I almost said balls but decided to keep it clean & then went on to list every single R screwup in last month or so. I told him how upset I was about the filibuster & he answered how we are only so many of so many senators. I told him that Mitch should have given a press conference to say how outraged he was about Reid & his abuse of power. at one point man said that Ronald Reagan said that he’d rather have an R that he agrees with 90% of the time than a D that he disagrees with 90% of the time. I asked if he was such a scholar of Reagan what was his 11th Commandment. He would have to look it up. I told him I know McConnell wants to punch the SCF in the face & if I had $ to donate I would give to SCF & I know about feud between Jim DeMint & Mitch, etc. He persisted & I told him I know Boehner is going to try to pass amnesty this year or early next year & I am disgusted by GOP because they recruit wusses and that I want real men & women that meant what they say. He said they supported Cruz & Lee, but it was SCF that did. He tried for $100, I told him I need a new roof and asked if they would like to help. He really pissed me off when he tried to get me to agree to send me something at a later date! I humiliated him so much he just hung up. Posted by: Carol at December 08, 2013 03:05 AM (z4WKX)

35 Well if the gop caves on amnesty, I will drive from state to state to cast a vote against them. What's that you say? Vote for a dem? What's the difference. As nip sip says about his man here in NC against Kay Hagan, "he isn't for amnesty, he is for the agriculture sector," they need workers. I feel that if obamacare is a ten on the scale of economic destruction, amnesty is a fifteen. My brother thought his end was near early Friday am, he couldnÂ’t breathe & the rehab called to tell me after 5 am that he was going to the hospital. I called the ER several times only to find out what I already knew,he couldnÂ’t breathe. He finally called me around 9 pm and when I asked why he couldnÂ’t breathe he said that was a stupid question. He told me he thought he was dying when that happened. He sounded horrible so I told him to rest & call me the next day. I donÂ’t know why he refused to ask the doctor why he had such trouble breathing. Yesterday he still didnÂ’t sound good but thought theyÂ’d send him back to the rehab today.

94 Left knee replacement a week ago tomorrow. Posted by: Misanthropic Humanitarian at December 08, 2013 03:27 PM (HVff2) That takes quite some time to recover from. A woman in my office had the surgery on Halloween and she hasnÂ’t been back to work since. SheÂ’s been working from home. She drives to train station & takes commuter train to another one & there is a lot of walking involved. I told her I would hold her monthly pass until December 5 and return it because she had a doctor appointment. I have someone else pass them out for me and she asked her to mail it to her. ItÂ’s a waste of $ because she isnÂ’t going to get her moneyÂ’s worth out of it. She might try to come in once or twice a week but I told her not to, she was still using crutches last week. I hope you donÂ’t have to do a lot of walking.

98 They have a great ad on the local fox affiliate, for Jon (Chong Sun's) chinese resstaurant. Carols like Sirent Night, Hory Night, etc on disc for sale. Fill your house with the sounds of Christmas, I caught it for my wife and nearly died laughing while she heard it. Not too pc, but it's Texas. Slightly more musical than the mariachi band at church today.

100 Tobacco Road, DidnÂ’t you write something last night about sealing doors with something to keep cold out? I read comment long after you had posted it. I have dryer in back hall and there is a light wooden door with large window there to the porch. I had some windows replaced Friday but still feel a draft. I think they didnÂ’t quite finish. I was at work & have to ask my older brother because he lives downstairs & was home. He knows what they did & didnÂ’t do. IÂ’m also getting a steel door for that hall with a tiny window.

101 Hey morons.. a quick prayer for my hubby. He had foot surgery Friday and is in alot of pain. I know he will be fine in another week or so but he's pretty miserable right now. Thanks.

102 In other news, it's snowing heavily here. Perhaps I should have put my car in the garage. From what I've read, it's supposed to change over to rain tonight. So I should be fine tomorrow morning. If it doesn't, I'll have some shoveling to do. Posted by: rickl at December 08, 2013 03:24 PM (sdi6R) I don't know what state you live in and what weather you are used to, but that rain could turn to sleet. A nice coat of ice on your car is not fun to remove, especially if you can't open the doors to start the heater. I hate it when my car gets encased in ice.

I thought it was funny.  The first time I saw it was out the corner of my eye.   The joke didn't hit me until about 15 minutes later.  Then I laughed.

104 Carol- I have new windows throughout the house but all the exterior doors have the original copper weather stripping, but they all fit good and no drafts. Large windows get pretty cold, even double pane, and sitting close to them can get pretty frosty. The cool air literally cascades down to floor level, or your shoulders if you are sitting in front of one.

I used to receive mail from the RNC and the state party. I got into the habit of returning their crap with some play money and a note telling them that as soon as they nominated or supported real, conservative candidates, I would send them real money. Until then, they could get stuffed. I'm more concerned about your brother, anyway. I went through hell when Vickie contracted ALS. I can't even clearly imagine the troubles you're having.

110 You can put bubble wrap over windows, may stick ok if wetted, and insulates some without blocking light. I'm going to put some on our single panes to save on A/c.

Large bubbles recommended.

117 I pleged something like $25 to the RNC right before Imigration l in 2007 or so. Then they went sideways on it so I just kept stringing them along always saying it was a bad month or whatever, then I upped the pledge to $40 a few years ago. They still call me asking about the pledges I've made. Irony is not a metal bar you hit people between the eyes with aparently

We donÂ’t know whatÂ’s wrong with the people that vote here. Most of the people that I know vote for the republican candidates but the unions have their busses to bring in voters to vote for their preferred candidate.

Based on the current crop of federal bureau-rats, we should encourage their incompetence and ineptitude. Microsoft should release a free copy of Windows eight....on 3.5 inch floppies just for govt use, (5 1/4 for the IRS).
