Hugh Hewitt, who is racist and Hates Women, forced this poor boob to hang up.

He used a cruel and racist trick to do so: he just kept asking her a question. It is racist to ask if Alger Hiss, a communist spy in the State Department (high ranking, too), was a communist spy in the State Department, because Alger Hiss was himself a lesbian Latina, or at least he was in aura.

Stupid people often do not know they're stupid. And when you pull on that particular thread, you agitate them greatly, and then they hang up on you.

Like most people in the media or the New Class, Karen Finney is overpromoted and undereducated. She has been promoted not because of what she knows, which could fit in a thimble, but because of her unflagging enthusiasm in applauding the Dear Leader as he stands at the podium and talks about his New Five Year Plan.

And when she's outside an environment in which only Loyalty to the Tribe/Class/Party matters, she's exposed for what she is, which is to say, an imbecile.

Most people can't name more than one or two people investigated by McCarthy and (separately) the House Un-American Affairs Committee- so most of them (even if they know those that they *can* name really were Communists) will still believe "Oh, but a whole lot of people were investigated because 'hysteria'" That she couldn't even play that game shows how painfully stupid she must be.

Finney wasnÂ’t trying to actually discuss the Hiss case, of course, or the details of McCarthy, whose claim of Â“200″ names of communists at State was proven to have been a gross underestimation by KGB files released decades later. Instead, she was invoking McCarthy as a talisman in much the same way leftists chant Â“racism!Â” whenever they have no argument.

The mere association of Cruz with McCarthy by this spellcasting is supposed to wreak ongoing, withering damage on Cruz with no harm coming to the caster, Finney. Probably doing 5 damage per time unit and degrading Armor Class on Cruz permanently, leaving him vulnerable to the next attack. But, as if often the case, the mere questioning of leftist shibboleths and chimeras has the effect of a pail of pure water on the Wicked Witch of the West.

It's like Hillary's "At this point, what difference does it make?" when Finney runs away. You're not supposed to ask these Powerful Feminist Wymyn any direct questions, much less insist on a direct answer - that would be mean and more evidence of the Patriarchal HegemonyÂ™ on the part of the (male) questioner.

It fucks up the narrative to point out how many agents of hostile foreign powers had been active in the American Government and Military, and precisely who at the time had opposed rooting them out. Finney won't acknowledge the fact not because it isn't true, but because it destroys the carefully constructed narrative.

It's like fighting with your college roommate about his leaving his socks all over the dorm room, and he won't even acknowledge the very existence of socks in the first place, insisting that your real sinister agenda is to sell him sandals.

In fairness, however, they're never really required to admit that there were Communist agents of foreign powers embedded in the government and military (and the academy - they're pretty much still there and don't need to be paid for it any longer) so why would they? They could only lose ground by admitting to plain, verifiable historical facts.
