Funny.

You've probably seen a lot of these before. Some of them are so funny/witty I kinda think they're fake.

Ah well. Let's just go with it.

But here's something interesting that a moron posted in one of the daytime threads yesterday...

55 In the small world department, I drove across town today to give some clay throwing equipment and clays for skeet shooting to a scout leader I met on the local gun forum. He lives 30 miles away. Within 10 minutes we determined he had gone to high school with my wife 30 years ago.

His nickname then?  "Combat"
20 years USMC, then DEA.

There's a cool nickname in high school.

If it's the same event, then it's supposed to be a non-rowdy type thing where people dressed up as Santa show up at bars, sing Christmas carols, have some drinks, and move on to the next bar.

I guess it all depends on who shows up.

138 The little girl who answered that she wished her mom would drink less wine will be getting a visit from DCFS in 3, 2, 1... that question alone is entirely inappropriate for the school to ask in the 1st place and proves all they do is spy on kids' homelife.

20 years ago there was a case of a little girl who said her mom's bf had teasingly "chased her around the house with a lobster" -- her mistake was saying this while in school. DCFS launched an investigation because they just knew that "chasing with a lobster" was code for "he raped me".

When I was in 1st grade (before my mom began homeschooling), the teacher had us write daily journals under the pretense of checking on our spelling and grammar -- I know it was really to spy. My 1st grade teacher would also use the entries to openly mock students for what they wrote.

I agree with you.

On another note, I remember taking D'oh Boy to see Santa at Lenox Square in Atlanta.  The guy had an actual real beard, and I swear, I nearly crawled in his lap myself.  He WAS Santa.

Then, we moved to the Chicago area.  Worst fake Santas on earth.  Went so far as to drive downtown to Marshall Fields, and even their Santa looked like some random guy in a fakey-fake beard.

Our son looked at us one year and said, "The real Santa only comes to Atlanta.  These guys up here are just his helpers."

Aww...I still get teary and nostalgic.  I have an amazing picture of our boy with "the real" Santa, not just at Lenox Square, but at my in-laws' club.  I'm still convinced he really was Santa.  I was so sad to read that he died a few years ago.  He re-habbed wheelchairs for the poor, served the community.  He literally was Santa Claus.

254 Actually, 42 is a rather unique number

It is composed of two digits the first is the first non prime number 4

and the 2nd is the only even prime number 2.

Add the 2 digits and you get the 2nd non prime number

2 is also the only factor of 4 (besides 1 of course)

283 Facebook can know when you've NOT submitted something.

It's possible they could determine what and store that also.

When you delete or discard any posting, your browser sends Facebook metadata about what you were doing and could be set up to send exactly what you erased or didn't post.

Now don't you feel better?

285 Oh. The ONT's been up for 10 minutes already. Still, see you a bit later.

289 154 No surprise, but Flarda State Criminole Jameis Winston wins the Heisman, in case anyone was wondering.

Now, darlin,' you know I love you as you are a MS moron like me. But I have read the facts of this case from Tallahassee  and know them cold. Like my weird obsession with Benghazi, which I know like Rainman and have no idea why I can focus on some things and not math or, uh, things I need to get done before Christmas. I guess that makes me a Criminole as well as a Clanga Bulldog fan. You don't want to get me started, but if you want to read the facts of the case, I suggest you start at the Tallahassee Democrat and why the State Attorney did not press charges on a story that changed at least three times (for starters).

Had I read the facts of this case and thought for one moment there was anything more than a lot of drinking and hooking up and disposable sex(apparently rampant on college campuses today, which is horrible and I have learned stuff I can't unlearn) I would not be defending Jameis Winston and FSU. And he is deserving of the Heisman Trophy. xoxo

290 The teacher evaluations are always pretty interesting. You get completely opposite suggestions from various students, and then you also get these bizarre wack-o comments about your hair, clothing, or even the nick nacks on your desk. The "If I had an hour..." comment was quite brilliant. At least it was well written and clever.

291 I like Judy's answer the best. You can tell the teacher is ready to clobber her.

292 It was symbolic to me. He followed her instructions to the letter and was going to try and read a chart with both eyes covered. That is how he experiences the world. A lot of nonsensical rules he does not understand but follows anyway Posted by: Thunderb at December 14, 2013 07:57 PM (zOTsN) ############# Sounds like my son.

293 Reason in three answers and the meme extends way past teenagers.

Given the opportunity of a summer labor job three discrete demographic groups have consistently similar responses each.

teenager groups:
1. How many breaks, how long are the breaks, how long is lunch and
what time do I get off?
2. Asks more succinctly: What you got for me?
3. Pick me, pick me, pick me.

294 true story, when I was in high school I had a psychology test I had forgotten about and so hadn't studied for. one of the questions was "name the 3 types of modeling" and knowing I was going down in flames on this one I wrote "clay, landscape, and swimsuit"
