— Ace I'm late to this.
Just revealed: he asked his employee if she believed that he could "go" for "eight hours in one night."
He grabbed her, kissed her.
She went to work every day with "butterflies in her stomach," she says.
She was working at the Senior Citizens' Help Desk. She herself is a senior. But he was just remorseless and undauntable. Like a Terminator of harassment.
Important Update: Peggy Shannon says that Filner's inappropriate behavior continued against her, even after he offered a coerced semi-admission "apology," which I think was back in June, when the disclosures were just getting started.

Not what people were expecting in the appearance department.
Which really does tell us something. Filner would just accost anyone who moved.

If it was okey-dokey for Clinton to do this, and be enabled and justified by the democrats (and the democrats in the press) I don't see why Filner has to take a hit for it.

Myself included. I've encountered many a creep. Youngest episodes involved the dads of two of my friends. I was about 9 the first time. About 15 the second. The latest was a guy I was pretty good friends with in high school with (I'm 50 and married). He found me on FB. Wanted to text so we could "catch up." He texted me a picture of himself, sans clothes, sitting in a chair. Grown man. With a family. Yes, he was read the riot act by me and I defriended him.
These are only 3 examples out of several more for me over the years. I think a lot of women have encountered a lot of strange incidents with men during our lifetimes. Lots of Filthy Filners out there.

Something about this doesn't seem right...
Maybe the Democrat women...like Feinstein, Boxer...are orchestrating this to get him out.
They bring in this woman, a granny, to say "He groped me too!"...
They bring in Alred to speak for her.
They're holding a 'March' to demand that he leaves.
It's like they're doing an Intervention.
The Dem-women must realize that their credibility is dying by the day...with guys like Filner, Weiner and Spitzer representing them.

then your wife has a heroic dose of self-assuredness and guts, but it's silly to pretend that all people are like that or should be like that.
Liberals are fond of postulating that people will act like angels and thus help their shoddy systems to work.
But conservatives do this too, always postulating that the standard default guide for human behavior is the Heroic mode.
Most people are not heroes and never will be. Standards of conduct cannot be set according to the standards of the best, gutsiest, most determined, etc. These are ideals to be aspired to, not the bog-standard human being who actually exists.

Eh,
I don't intend any mockery towards the woman.
However, I'll state this fact, she's not anywhere close to the "social ideal" of beauty.
That's not bad.
But I think it says something about Filner. He doesn't really have a "type" thusfar that we've seen, he just hits on anything that moves.
If he were hitting on hot 20-something we'd say he needs to chill his libido. But he's not, he's really all over the map, which makes it a bit creepier actually. When you're going this far, it might be more about stomping down those around you than the actual turn on.

I was in the KFC parking lot one day waiting on my Dad to come out. A guy came roaring up in a truck, opened the door in such a way that I was sort of trapped against the car, and demanded money. I was so shocked that I handed it over. He pulled away so quickly I was numb. It took me a few minutes to realize I'd been robbed. Even now my mind fights to call it aggressive panhandling. He didn't have a weapon, he didn't threaten violence, didn't say "give me all your money." I think he said "Give me money", but I couldn't swear to it.

my wife got some mild harassment at work, nothing serious, someone made a crack at here that was wildly inappropriate (She was explaining how to changes settings for a program and said "So you use this option to turn on [whatever]" and he said "You turn me on.")
No lead up, not other problems.
My wife is a firebrand, she has to be, crazy family life. But she was just so stunned she came home and said "so this happened, and I'm really not sure what to make of it."
Not angry, not scared, just shocked (like after an injury.)
So I can understand where these people are coming from.
(FWIW, my wife told her boss the next day, and said "really all I want an apology, and someone to tell him to be a little more aware." They tried to get an apology and explained to the guy to treat people like equals, but while meeting with her and their boss he said "See, Kiddo, I'm sorry." Proving that he's really just not capable of NOT demeaning people. Her boss made the call to shot it high up the chain at that point and it was out of my wife's hands.)

Mingo County Circuit Judge Michael Thornsbury was arrested Thursday after federal authorities allege he targeted his ex-lover's husband, using his position on the bench to manipulate criminal charges against the man.
The indictment returned Wednesday by a federal grand jury in Charleston charges Thornsbury with conspiring to violate the constitutional rights of his former secretary's husband, identified in the indictment as R.W.
Prosecutors allege Thornsbury, the county's only circuit judge, put his business partner in charge of a Mingo grand jury, plotted to plant drugs on R.W. and tried to get the man sent to jail.

Most people just don't want to believe it happened.
A lot of this world would rather avoid conflict. And to be fair, I get the feeling a lot of these were one offs as it were.
That is, he harassed them, but then they didn't have to see him anymore.
That doesn't make it right, but it would explain some of the lack of reporting.
Then you have the dems actively covering it up. When you see that, it makes people less willing to report.

....Bog Standard Human Being?
I think it has a lot to do with...where you've been raised, and how you've been raised.
People in cities are pretty much indoctrinated into being sheep.
You're expected to not even try to defend yourself...'let the police handle it'.
Out here in flyover country, we generally figure that we're on our own.
So things like self defense and fighting back, are still in our DNA.
I've had to 'fight for my honor' several times.
It was instinctual.
It was reflex.
My brothers expected it of me...but then, some women weren't raised with brothers, so I can't fault them if they don't do the same.

(ABC) Ex-congressman Jackson is eligible to receive $8,700 dollars per month in disability pay due to his bipolar condition and could receive a partial federal pension of $45,000 per year once he reaches 65.
Fuckity. This ride sucks. I want off.

It's been said before, but if the the paragons of liberal politics are doing this kind of filth, as enlightened as they supposedly are, I hate to imagine what they think of us knuckle dragging conservatives they have zero respect for. No wonder they think we are all monsters. In this case the monster is calling from inside the house, but no matter, War on Wimmens!

The only thing that makes the news on Yahoo tolerable anymore are the comments. There was a stupid article on there today saying that 83% of millennials that have read Harry Potter hate George Bush, you guys. I scrolled down to the comments and the very first one said "A vast majority of Yahoo! news readers agree that their articles could be better written by trained monkeys." Love the commenters there; they are kindred spirits to the Horde.

This point needs to be hammered home...preferably between Filner's eyes with a ball-peen hammer.

167 And to think people say I'm being hyperbolic when I say TFG could rape and eat a live baby Koala in the Lincoln Bedroom on prime time TV and still win a 3rd term easily.
Wow, I'd LOVE to see that. Because while koalas look lovely and cuddly, I found out while visiting a koala park in Australia that they are highly agitated and those 3-toed claws are long, sharp, and not fun if they decide to come after you. We could only gently pet a koala while it was being held by his trainer and he warned us over and over about coming at the koala aggressively.
So I'm in - Barry vs. Kuddly Koala (not!)

Also - point of order, EoJ. Yes, GrGran could be drawing those loverly eyebrows on, but I would not be surprised if those were permanent (e.g. tattooed). They look too alarmingly perfect. Saves on the opera makeup costs.
