— Ace So that's good.
Meanwhile, ABC, the Washington Post, and Politico will attend.
FoxNews just announced it too will boycott the Secret Spin Session.
I don't know how I feel about this last one. I want the secret spin session boycotted, but I also want someone in there who can report on any shenanigans that go on -- softball questions, reporters strategizing with Holder about how to win the media war on this, etc.
That is, I'm less interested in what Holder has to say than what the other reporters have to say.
But I suppose the Media-Government Complex has each others' contact information and can just call one another whenever they like.

Why am I not surprised ABC will attend? Will they send Diane Sawyer, or is it too late in the day and she's already three sheets to the wind?
Any word on if MSNBC, or indeed NBC in general, will send anyone?

" ORLANDO, Fla. -- A court employee who retrieved photos and deleted text messages from Trayvon Martin's cellphone has been placed on administrative leave after an attorney testified that prosecutors didn't properly turn over the evidence to the defense, an attorney said Wednesday.
Former prosecutor Wesley White said he was ethically obligated to reveal that Fourth Judicial Circuit Information Technology Director Ben Kruidbos retrieved the data that weren't turned over.
Kruidbos was placed on leave shortly after White testified during a hearing in George Zimmerman's second-degree murder case on Tuesday. White said Kruidbos was interviewed by state attorney investigators twice before the action was taken.
White said he wasn't surprised of possible evidence violations by Zimmerman prosecutor Bernie de la Rionda.
"I was saddened by it, but I'm not surprised," he said."
I sure all those text messages were Trayvon asking his mom if there were any household chores he could do to earn a little extra money.

As satisfying as it would be to watch that happen, it would be extremely bad for journalists to do this. They'd never get any info off the record again. And off the record info is useful when, say, you're talking to a small fry trying to track down a bigger fish. If you can't be trusted with sensitive information then you find yourself not getting any.

Second degree murder should not have been charged. Even manslaughter is probably a bridge too far once you factor in the MMA-styled assault Zimmerman was undergoing.
So a proper verdict could well be not guilty and inevitably riots. And, yay, I live here. Though I suspect a less-than-murder conviction will spark more violence outside of Central Florida than inside.

They only charged second which still requires that common law "depraved" state of mind.
Manslaughter, or negligent homicide, maybe.
But the more they hide exculpatory evidence the less I am convinced they have anything in the murder section of the statutes at all.
Not saying he won't be convicted anyway.
I would love to know how that initial encounter went down. The biggest potential knock on Zimmerman was whatever caused his feeling the need to get close to Trayvon in the first place, unless he is cripplingly nearsighted.
That's the relevant state of mind. Being neighborhood watch, he is probably going to say (if he testifies) to see what was going on. And that is not a depraved state of mind.

That why I said transcript, not THE recording. A recipient of a paper transcript anonymously recived in the mail has no idea how it came to be produced.
It could have been a audio recording, it could have been handwritten notes, it could have originated from a video tape.

A softball question in a private, off the record conference? This sounds like one of those "if a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it" philosophical lines of inquiry.
What infuriates me -- and has for years -- are the softball questions being pitched at the ON THE RECORD, FULLY PUBLIC press conferences.
Because it's there and then that tough questioning of politicians is desperately needed yet is consistently avoided.

Meh, sorry I just got done with my "exit interview" then came home, realized I left my coffee cup at my (now) old job. (Sigh).
But I'm here now!
By the way, the exit interview was crap. They basically handed me a final review and said "have a good day."
It looks like AtC was close to the mark. Less that they were concerned I'd go "whistleblower" and more they got tired of me finding problems they had to fix. (They actually noted that my "analytical mind" caused me to produce work "in greater detail than needed" but later went to say "this lead to the finding of many problems, which was good."
Meh, I asked them about my output speed back in October and got "You're good." So clearly it's that last part not being as "good" as mentioned.

OT: Michelle Obama to wealthy dem donors:
Just last month for example we saw the failure of common sense legislation to protect our kids from gun violence, legislation by the way that 90 percent of the American people supported. We’re seeing a budget stalemate and a sequester resulting in children across the country being turned away from Head Start, and so many seniors losing their meals on wheels, and now there’s talk about cutting food stamps,” Obama said.
The First Lady described these cuts as “not what this country is about.”
Shameful. Those mean nasty wingers are stealing food out of children's and grandparent's mouths and want gun violence to escalate!!
I have never in my lifetime heard a first lady talk like this. Low class.

If the meeting is at the DoJ I'm fairly certain they've taken the fairly minor precautions to protect against laser mics.
I'm only passingly familiar with them, but IIRC two pane soundproof glass helps as well they put vibration generators in the wall/windows to disperse them.
I like the idea, but this administration is paranoid, it's going to be an "empty your pockets, and submit to this patdown" kinda thing if they really don't want it on the record.
(But I dunno why they care, my guess is it's all just going to be platitudes all day long with no real substance.)

What I find amazing is that the PRESS does not get how this is making them look.
That there are 'off the record' meetings AT ALL between the Press and High Ranking Government Officials, is an indictment of the PRESS.
We give the Press extra protection under the Law, and Constitution because they are supposed to help to safeguard our Liberty... but when they are coopted to the point where they are having meetings, with Government, that they cannot tell the PEOPLE about?
They then enter the Category of Pravda....

Besides, the obvious questions from these scandals, the candidate will be asked if federal protection of Civil Rights laws only apply to “minorities,” the effective scope of Congressional subpoenas, when the President is allowed to assert “executive privilege,” and when not, and when the President may make recess appointments.
The ambiguity of these questions has served Obama well. Letting Holder go will occur only when ObamaÂ’s personal approval ratings fall.

He was having an affair with Kathryn Ruemmler.
Once again Ruemmler - who was profiled recently as having fabulous shoes and long suspected of being the blond in the DSW shoe ads - is at the heart of yet another administration scandal.
Is there no end to this evil woman's treachery? First she uses her auto-pen to forge Eric Holder's name on the Rosen warrant - and then she imitates the President and issues the Code Yellow stand down order in the Benghazi incident.
The only reason she still has her job is that the White House wants to read in the newspapers what other fiendish plots she has hatched to betray our dear leader - perhaps she has stolen his nose before it could be cloned.

I think FOX was correct in not joining this little party...what is the point? They supposedly cannot report what is said, right? Any bets someone will leak what is said anyway? It would certainly serve them right.
The irony cannot escape even the most liberal of libtards: an off the record meeting to discuss violations of free press. Orwell wuz here.
I hope and pray the Chicago tactics are daily biting them on the butt. The Chicago firewall is Holder. Jarrett must be working around the clock to control this tsunami of scandals bursting the dike (I had to mention Janet N. here). The wheels are rapidly coming off the bus. I am loving it.
When are the next Congressional Hearings? I want Issa and Gowdy to rock and roll.

You don't think Teh Won would do something like that do you? Why that would be the act of a cowardly buffoon that could get him hanged for dereliction of duty in the face of the enemy during time of war.
Surely President Barky Odogeater would never do anything like that - he could only have been betrayed by somebody on his White House staff. All the Clues say:
Ruemmler in the West Wing with an auto-pen{/i]
Either that or Pierre the White House French Pastry Chef with a Croissant in the Kitchen.
