Good. The IRS is the perfect foil because that one resonates with people. Yes, yes I know - Benghazi has a body count - unfortunately that is completely confused and you need to actually work to figure out what went on there.
The IRS targeting people? That's easy to grasp.

Also, McConnell should have balls. I hope he gets primaried by a rock-ribbed conservative. And beaten. All his foe would need to say is, "You know all the stuff Mitch talks about? I'm going to actually do it."

For starters, you can stop helping Reid advance the progressive agenda for the sake of "doing something" and "bipartisanship."
More importantly, you can use the floor of the Senate to make bombastic speeches to at the very least raise awareness or make the evening news. Rand Paul and Ted Cruz understand this.
If you were a Republican senator would you just sit there and twiddle your thumbs until you were in the majority, or would you use your office and the Senate to any way you could to advance your agenda?

I agree, but it's a fine line to walk. We over-supplied the Rooskies during WWII, and over-supported the Chinese. In both instances the support was very well founded, but we were VERY mistaken doing it to the extent that we did. Hindsight, of course, but we should tread carefully. To the extent that Assad and the 'rebels' bloody each other, I am not too disturbed that we are enablers.

The calculus: Dems want one of their own in the seat vs. a soft RINO. If the R is considered by the base to be too soft, they won't turn out for him, hence he's vulnerable.
I don't think McConnell scares the Dems so much as provides a potential pickup because the base may be convinced into staying home instead of voting for him.

I think it makes great sense to regret voting for Marco Rubio as his opponent would have been much better.
I should note that I am an idiot.

Morons! I expect a clean internecine fight. Get into your corners and wash your hands first! No other rules.

Um...because he's weaker than a kitten?
Face it...McConnell is low-hanging fruit and he has only himself to blame.

Which is a darn good reason not to give Harry Reid the satisfaction of adding another seat to his coalition. And RINO or not, I want the Republicans to increase their share in the House; I want to see what level of pain is sufficient to get Pelosi to weep.
