JFK's grandson Jack Schlossberg this weekend handed a prestigious award to Lauren Bush Lauren on behalf of her grandfather, 89-year-old former President George H.W. Bush. Bush was given the 2014 John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award during a ceremony at the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum in Boston.
Bush was being recognized for the political courage he showed when he agreed to a 1990 budget compromise that jeopardized his re-election bid by violating his 1988 campaign promise not to raise taxes.
Former Bush aides and members of the Kennedy family came together to celebrate the former president's willingness to buck party orthodoxy.
'George Bush did the right thing for the country, and it's nice to see people are beginning to appreciate it,' John H. Sununu, who was BushÂ’s chief of staff, said at the ceremony.

Yep, very state dependent. My state puts limits on possession by minors BUT has a number of exceptions to the rule. The most notable are that the law doesn't apply in the home, at a shooting range, or while hunting. My underage son "owns" a .22 which is quite legal for him to have in this state provided he follows those exceptions.

I agree with this 100%. Scott had a chance to tell the race hustlers to STFU and let the system work like it has for decades but he blinked and declined to take a principled stand; and the result turned out to be exactly the same except it cost more money. Crist is nothing but human garbage but Scott has opened the door for him by being wobbly on that issue.

Oh, they do:
"assault firearm" means any (i) semi-automatic centerfire rifle or pistol which expels single or multiple projectiles by action of an explosion of a combustible material and is equipped at the time of the offense with a magazine which will hold more than 20 rounds of ammunition or designed by the manufacturer to accommodate a silencer or equipped with a folding stock or (ii) shotgun with a magazine which will hold more than seven rounds of the longest ammunition for which it is chambered.

Or make it even easier for members of Congress to live in their districts. Do away with their need to go to DC. Tele-commute from their district office and they meet in a virtual Congress online.
Save all that money on buildings for Reps and Senators, turn them into hotels. By adopting tele-commute it also makes it far harder to kill off that legislative body. And can also reduce the salary of each elected official. And while at it, change that law that limits the House to 435 members, can double the number without costing more to pay and house more in DC.

The Constitution says that they must be 25 years old and be a resident of the State in which they represent. It doesn't require that they be a resident in the district they represent, but by "tradition" they do. Which is why Nancy has that house in SF even though she really lives in Napa Valley. She call the SF house her "legal" residence.

If there's one member of the MFM that deserves my sympathy, it's Ms. Logan.

There is nothing quite as uninteresting or unimportant as NHL playoffs for the casual fan whose team has already been eliminated.
That is all.

"Former Bush aides and members of the Kennedy family came together to celebrate the former president's willingness to buck party orthodoxy."
I look forward to the day when they give the Profile in Courage award to a pro-life Democrat. Talk about bucking party orthodoxy!
Of course, Hell will be hosting the Ice Capades the day that happens.

Then I saw the racial survey, voluntary by mandated by the feds, so I deleted the whole thing. To me it's just a way to get our info and target us for GOTV or for being a tea party extremist.

Kicked ass.
Cried when Chi-Chi's closed. But On The Border helped make up for it.
We just found an awesome restaurant (in Canada!) owned by a sweet Mexican lady. Amazing food. So we're good now.
But damn if I couldn't go for one of those burritos.

Benghazi for Dummies:
"The President's scheme had backfired, and Americans under his leadership were fighting and dying, but since there was an election soon and he had a long flight and a California fund-raiser scheduled for the next day, he decided to just go to bed."

Clearly you should be forced to renounce your faith if you want to have a job.
Support gay marriage or your a homophobe.
Support abortion or your sexist.
"Damaging shit" is in the eyes of the progtard mob.

Do you really not see the difference between having a legitimate beef with an employer which you take to the appropriate forum versus writing snarky shit on Facebook? Or do you think the Bill of Rights protects you from receiving any negative consequences from screaming "this company sucks maximum cock" at the workplace?

I find it interesting on Form 4473 that you have to pick either Hispanic or non-Hispanic. It's like they're singling out Hispanic ethnicity.

On the other hand, NFL draft is Thursday.
Best thing about the NFL draft? It ends the endless discussion of mock drafts and trade talks and who has the best leaping ability, and whose draft stock has gone down because they seem to like to beat their wives/girlfriends or both, etc.

I asked the sales guy about it. He did not know why the question was broken down in that way. It's like the ATF wants to know right up front if you're a Hispanic person (or not).
