More Suspicious Letters
— Dave in Texas

One intercepted in White House mail facility, now reports of the same in the Hart Senate Office, Russell Senate Office buildings. Parts of them being cleared.

And I'm seeing a lot of this from people watching CNN right now:

Terrific.

1 Question.  Is it impossible for the first letter to be a copy-cat spurred on by the Monday Boston attack?  Does the timeline allow for that?

122 @5,

See what happens when you go full Biden, this is why you never go full Biden.

More seriously, I hope none of our political leaders or their lackeys are hurt by these  - just because your a feckless pinhead does not warrant death by poison.

I think  it could be a dupe, someone of marginal intelligence being told he was helping out delivering messages to various politicians. I would not rule this out at this point. Al Qaeda used girls suffering from downs syndrome to do suicide attacks in Iraq after promising them puppies.

But then again, a majority of eligible and not eligible voters voted for TFG and Biden.

133 Serious Cat, yes. But, it was postmarked from Tenn. If you want to tie the two together, and without including a wider conspiracy: The letters have to be mailed first - on Sunday, not collected until Monday, then they hit the special sorting facility on Tuesday. 143 OSP - Yup.

The FBI had a strong suspect in that case, a ‘person of interest’ with the requisite skillset and motivations, but that person, Bruce Ivins, committed suicide not long after he came under suspicion. Based on subsequent findings, the FBI is 99% certain Ivins is their guy. The remaining 1% uncertainty is due to the fact that Ivins is dead and is thus unable to confirm what investigators already know: he did it.

350 Hollowpoint, it's not the bugs that matter. It's the tools for drying and milling respirable materials and maybe coating them. Ivins could have ginned up some nasty wet solutions, but he had no access to the tools needed to turn them into the fine, respirable powders. Additional, making those powders is a messy operation that leaves residue you can find decades later, where is it?

Highly recommend ricin in your chicken soup. In reality, I recommend as much garlic as you can stand, but it depends on your symptoms. If you are having digestive problems, then good luck. I can cure your stuffy sinuses, however, with my secret recipe. But you need a stomach lined with lead.
