None of those cities are in even remotely the right spots.
Geography...how does it work?

not gonna lie,
I had to look at the original article to see what was up. Honestly, I can't tell you where much is on the east coast because I couldn't care less about it.
But still funny (I knew enough to look it up.)

OTOH, I'm sure if Buffalo actually has moved, then the water quality in Lake Ontario should start improving immediately.

It's just a perspective map from the liberals in NYC. They can relate to Buffalo, Syracuse and Binghamton so from their prospective they are geographically much closer to New York City than they really are.....then they imagine those other western NY hicks are really far away.
They can't relate to Scranton that well, so they place it far out in the fly over country as well.

MSNBC isn't wrong at all, just foreward. They can see the future, so to speak. Those locations are post-resettlement of the populations, after the wise and all-seeing government dictates where everyone will move.
After all, "infrastructure investment will create jobs" and just think of all the new roads, bridges, buildings and other infrastructure that will be needed. It might take an American "cultural revolution" to build, but manual labor will be good for breaking through class barriers.

We are required by Our Lord Obama to hire "special" people in our news facilities, and occasionally, those "special" people, who we are given government money for hiring, interpret things in their own "special" way.
By pointing out that their so called "facts" are wrong, it's just showing how intolerant and hateful you really are. If our employees create a map that says Buffalo is in NE New York, would it kill you to let them believe it is there? They have huge self esteem issues and pointing out their so called "mistakes" hurts them to the very core, and puts them back years in their therapy. Why do you want to hurt the disadvantaged? What kind of people are you?
In conclusion, we stand by the map put together by our beloved government mandated employees and value their work and contributions.
/haters.

Hotmail is only down in certain regions, which points to some sort of minor server problem.
This isn't unusual for a large scale operation.
In fact, I can get into my Hotmail right now and have had no problems.
The NYT thing is surprising because whatever it is has killed their backups too. Hell even CNN redirects to a blogger hosted second setup when the shit hits the fan, apparently NYT can't even figure out how to put up an error message.
