Pleas for help were ignored that bloody night. Did the White House fear that a failed rescue mission would impact the upcoming election? Downplaying the terrorist element in the death of our ambassador would minimize the potential political damage.

So is this all about covering up the motive for a decision that put the election ahead of saving American lives and vigilance in the face of continuing Islamist terrorism?

The incident is still pushed under the rug to avoid the public backlash that would occur if the facts were known. Even worse, the Benghazi killers have never been brought to justice.

The issue needs to be laid on the table for all to see. If the Obama administration is not forthcoming with answers to the questions Congress has asked, subpoenas should be issued to compel testimony. And if there are contradictions found in previous testimony, then charges of perjury should be pursued.

This case is worse than Watergate. No one died as a result of those high level political shenanigans. This cover-up and stonewalling is about the terrorist murder of American heroes. The American public has a right to know the facts.
