The previews showed the new 300 movie, which I will definitely go see in that theater. I'm going to have to find a movie buddy, though, since there's no way in hell the wife will want to see it.

Could use a kid-friendly rabbit-like character that we could merchandise the holy fuck out of.
Reminds me of the Red Letter Media bits where Lucas is showing the black guy in the suit how to walk like a black guy.

but this was almost worth the $15, especially since I think the higher price tends to filter out the yappy, cell-phone using riff raff.

What higher price? That's pretty much normal around here.

@113 I hear more and more about Kickstarter. It's basically a means of attracting private funds to launch people's ideas, right? How does it work? Do people actually have a record of launching successes? Do people actually get paid, and how is that negotiated?
----------------
You post your project information on the website, along with how much you need to achieve your goal. You have exactly one month to achieve your goal. People pay money to Kickstarter on behalf of your project, and if you reach your donation target by the end of the month, then Kickstarter gives you the money (minus their cut). If you don't reach the donation target, then the donors keep their money.

Thanks. So when you say people donate to a project, do you mean that literally? There is no expectation or structure for any returns should the idea actually be a good one and succeed?
