3 I swore off the NFL.

Posted by: soothsayer at April 25, 2013 04:11 PM (KwX0v)

4 Is it just me, or is Teo overrated? I heard he didn't have one sack last season.

5 Can't watch that douche Goodell read every name.Fucking douche.

Posted by: steevy at April 25, 2013 04:12 PM (9XBK2)

6 I am very much so inclined. Gotta watch a bunch of big uglies for the first few picks, but eventually we'll get to Geno Smith, Eifert, Austin, etc. Then I like to go to their respective team pages and watch the fans freak out.

Posted by: Lincolntf at April 25, 2013 04:13 PM (ZshNr)

I said if the Ravens win the SB, I'm done with the NFL.

so...let's discuss these fritter things

11 Teo is a tackling machine, much like Luke Kuechly, but with a bigger frame.

12 Tiny hairs glistening in the sun, oh yes.

13 I swore off the NFL.

Same here. Can I just be a general nuisance?

14 Odds JEF makes an appearance somehow?

15 The word on the street is it's Fisher #1.

Posted by: Dr Spank at April 25, 2013 04:15 PM (4cRnj)

16
Serious, you guys. I have a very bad feeling about what's headed our way this year and next. In the NFL, everywhere.

So much left wing social crap has permeated and spoiled our cherished institutions and traditions.

Posted by: soothsayer at April 25, 2013 04:16 PM (ZgBZU)

17 Engineer side kicking in here - what is the measure of a pointy elbow?    What is the ideal level of pointy-ness?    What is the scale?   When was this Moron standard adopted?

Posted by: ConservativeMonster at April 25, 2013 04:16 PM (v3pYe)

18 What is the ideal level of pointy-ness? What is the scale? 3.5 faps

Posted by: toby928© Red Partisan at April 25, 2013 04:17 PM (QupBk)

19 Watch for whoever gets Cordarelle Petterson, or whatever his name is. He's the designated "head case, freaky skills wide receiver" this year.

Posted by: Lincolntf at April 25, 2013 04:17 PM (ZshNr)

20
Can I just be a general nuisance?

Okay, and I'll be a major pain.

Posted by: soothsayer at April 25, 2013 04:17 PM (FC8Yl)

21 Teo is too slow, the nfl ain't Norte dame. He's a head case as well

Posted by: Misanthropic humanitarian at April 25, 2013 04:17 PM (HVff2)

22 So, Fischer.

23 GREAT picture.

25 I hope 6 quarterbacks are taken before the Texans draft.

Posted by: Dr Spank at April 25, 2013 04:18 PM (4cRnj)

26 Teo is projected around 20. I think that's about right. If he slips to 29, the Pats would be stupid to not grab him.

Posted by: Lincolntf at April 25, 2013 04:19 PM (ZshNr)

27 I hope the Jaguars draft a punter at 2.

Posted by: Dr Spank at April 25, 2013 04:20 PM (4cRnj)

30

I think the draft  coverage  is over hyped. Maybe it's the month leading up to the draft that makes it so.

I think it would be more interesting if  the teams had to pick in the order they are given by the NFL.  No trading up or down.  After the draft,  the teams would  have 3 weeks to make trades.

34 Oh, and watch for Zeke Ansah. Great story, check his wiki. BYU missionary found him as a basketball player in Africa, he emigrated, never made the team, got talked into football and will soon be signing a 7 or 8 digit contract.

Hush puppies vs Fritters?

Two entirely different things, sooth.

At least, in the parts of the country where I've lived.

There's...Apple Fritters, Peach Fritters, Cream Cheese Fritters, etc.

They're like a desert.

Sorta like a small Fried Pie.

Hush Puppies are what you have with Fish; they're bready.

It's their goal, they want it to be a year-around sport, that's only played in the fall and winter. They added regional combines and mini camps, they are trying to push other sports out of the market.

90 65 Misanthropic Humanitarian,

MH my giref with him is not the "normal" commissioner shit...I own the "league" which was a dissection of the Al Davis v Pete era...I did papers

I do not need the NFL to become "Glee II the HARD TIGHT END"

Sorry.... add in the  deference to General Manly Throw...the assholery of the player base versus my era.

Nah....

Not telling you 'boycott" I'm just saying...I remember the NFL Draft where the Chargers got Winslow from reading about it.

I have followed this faithfully posted about my picks desired for the teams I oove here for years and this season it was not a "hard choice" I just looked up and was like "wow that's this week huh?'

Roger G and the Happy Donk gang has me in "fuck you" mode.

The College game has a wider range of offensive and defensive systems and in a few cases more of an 'ensemble feel" in the QB/WR/TE combos...

I'm a run and shoot (Mouse davis style) fan..and grew up on Air Coryell...the game has maybe passed me by

Typically no.  If they are there though they know they have a pretty good idea that they will be going in the first roung.  Not necessarily which number or specific team, but they'll have an idea of which potential ones will based on the interest you got from teams before the draft.

Posted by: lowandslow at April 25, 2013 06:34 PM (Fz2C7)

270 Ooooh, there's a pick.

Posted by: Lincolntf at April 25, 2013 06:34 PM (ZshNr)

271 @267 at least it was a real cheerleader, lol

Posted by: Misanthropic humanitarian at April 25, 2013 06:35 PM (HVff2)

272 Eifert? They have a pretty good tight end.

Posted by: Dr Spank at April 25, 2013 06:35 PM (4cRnj)

273 A good TE can make an offense.

Posted by: toby928© at April 25, 2013 06:35 PM (QupBk)

274 Atlanta needs a corner.

Posted by: Dr Spank at April 25, 2013 06:36 PM (4cRnj)

275 Eifert gone, we will need a TE next year after jerdropsthem Finley is gone

Posted by: Misanthropic humanitarian at April 25, 2013 06:36 PM (HVff2)

276 Trufant?

Posted by: Dr Spank at April 25, 2013 06:37 PM (4cRnj)

277 It keeps going like this TT might trade down and pick up another jordy nelson

Posted by: Misanthropic humanitarian at April 25, 2013 06:38 PM (HVff2)

278 I wish Thompson would come home to Houston.

Posted by: Dr Spank at April 25, 2013 06:39 PM (4cRnj)

279 What's a bigger bandwagon team the packers or the steelers? Both are small ass cities noone wants to ever go to but everyone wants to claim their football teams.

Posted by: Mr Pink at April 25, 2013 06:39 PM (rFq1t)

280 Chances that one of  Teo, Werner, Patterson or Lacy make it to 29 are looking better. Not that the Pats will pick one of them.

Posted by: Lincolntf at April 25, 2013 06:39 PM (ZshNr)

281 Trufant.

Posted by: Dr Spank at April 25, 2013 06:40 PM (4cRnj)

282 Hey hey me pink bleed green & gold & have season tickets, no bandwagon here

Posted by: Misanthropic humanitarian at April 25, 2013 06:41 PM (HVff2)

283 Misanthropic humanitarian and I are Wisconsinites.

Posted by: lowandslow at April 25, 2013 06:41 PM (Fz2C7)

284 Spank is right again.  Trufant.

There should be some way for you to make bank on this, Doc.

Posted by: toby928© at April 25, 2013 06:41 PM (QupBk)

285 Nice to meet you Sconnie guy

Posted by: Misanthropic humanitarian at April 25, 2013 06:42 PM (HVff2)

286 Oh shit, I'd forgotten all about the Honey Badger.

Posted by: Lincolntf at April 25, 2013 06:42 PM (ZshNr)

287 Vikes need def line and wide receiver, they have 2 of the next 3 picks.

Posted by: Dr Spank at April 25, 2013 06:43 PM (4cRnj)

288 Vikes pick is in, Te'o?

Posted by: lowandslow at April 25, 2013 06:44 PM (Fz2C7)

289 They should pick 2 WR cuz Jennings will go down, good WR but injury prone. Any one has to be better than a Percy

Posted by: Misanthropic humanitarian at April 25, 2013 06:45 PM (HVff2)

290 Floyd

Posted by: Dr Spank at April 25, 2013 06:45 PM (4cRnj)

291 Leave it to Queens to pick a character issue guy, lol

Posted by: Misanthropic humanitarian at April 25, 2013 06:46 PM (HVff2)

292 The skill positions have really dropped. I like it.

Posted by: Dr Spank at April 25, 2013 06:46 PM (4cRnj)

293 Colts need defense. Rhodes or a pass rusher.

Posted by: Dr Spank at April 25, 2013 06:47 PM (4cRnj)

294 I can still see the Vikes taking Te'o at 25, or Gino.

Posted by: lowandslow at April 25, 2013 06:48 PM (Fz2C7)

295 Vikes need to replace Harvin.

Posted by: Dr Spank at April 25, 2013 06:49 PM (4cRnj)

296 McShay has Teo to Vikes at 25, Kiper has Kevin Minter, LB from LSU.

Posted by: Lincolntf at April 25, 2013 06:49 PM (ZshNr)

297 @294 yeah they are still pondering in MN

Posted by: Misanthropic humanitarian at April 25, 2013 06:50 PM (HVff2)

298 Corduroy Patterslap?

Posted by: Lincolntf at April 25, 2013 06:50 PM (ZshNr)

299 292 The skill positions have really dropped. I like it.

Posted by: Dr Spank at April 25, 2013 10:46 PM (4cRnj)

Well I think part of that is that I believer there were quite a few skill positions drafted last year, and weren't any real busts that I can think of.  So most of those needs by teams were taken care of last year, and now they need to start restocking their lines, especially since I'm guessing that a lot of lines are getting older.

Posted by: buzzion at April 25, 2013 06:50 PM (LI48c)

300 Werner

Posted by: Dr Spank at April 25, 2013 06:52 PM (4cRnj)

301 Shit, bye-bye Werner.

Posted by: Lincolntf at April 25, 2013 06:52 PM (ZshNr)

302 Not a lot of franchise like qbs in this year draft. They are in the 2-3 rounds. Lots of good d and o people

Posted by: Misanthropic humanitarian at April 25, 2013 06:53 PM (HVff2)

303 Sylvester Williams
Jonathan Cyprien
Eddie Lacey

All there for the Packers.

Posted by: lowandslow at April 25, 2013 06:53 PM (Fz2C7)

304 Not Teo please god. We already have 1 slow LB don't need another

Posted by: Misanthropic humanitarian at April 25, 2013 06:56 PM (HVff2)

305 That one surprised me, Ponder needs weapons.

Posted by: Dr Spank at April 25, 2013 06:56 PM (4cRnj)

306 Just give the ball to AP and throw to jennings

Posted by: Misanthropic humanitarian at April 25, 2013 06:57 PM (HVff2)

307 Green Bay lost a safety and wide receiver. Thompson will get a good player, that's what he do.

Posted by: Dr Spank at April 25, 2013 07:00 PM (4cRnj)

308 Woods?

Posted by: Dr Spank at April 25, 2013 07:00 PM (4cRnj)

309 Jones

Posted by: Dr Spank at April 25, 2013 07:01 PM (4cRnj)

310 WTF!!

Posted by: Misanthropic humanitarian at April 25, 2013 07:01 PM (HVff2)

311 Judging Thompson's draft history, he'll probably be an all pro.

Posted by: Dr Spank at April 25, 2013 07:02 PM (4cRnj)

312 Dr Spank you be wrong. Can you say Justin Harrell? Fuck

Posted by: Misanthropic humanitarian at April 25, 2013 07:02 PM (HVff2)

313 Denver take Teo? Or leave him for New England? He's officially sliding now.

Posted by: Lincolntf at April 25, 2013 07:03 PM (ZshNr)

314 Chucky LOVES him.

Posted by: Dr Spank at April 25, 2013 07:03 PM (4cRnj)

315 Jones is good pick, there were rumors Thompson was talking about him.

Posted by: lowandslow at April 25, 2013 07:03 PM (Fz2C7)

316 Texans need WR, ILB, DL, OT.

Posted by: Dr Spank at April 25, 2013 07:04 PM (4cRnj)

317 L&S glad you like him. I just have to say wtf.

Posted by: Misanthropic humanitarian at April 25, 2013 07:04 PM (HVff2)

318 Well time to read about this guy in the Packer papers. Later 'rons

Posted by: Misanthropic humanitarian at April 25, 2013 07:07 PM (HVff2)

319 Hopkins.

Posted by: Dr Spank at April 25, 2013 07:09 PM (4cRnj)

320 If Denver doesn't, we have to take Teo.

Posted by: Lincolntf at April 25, 2013 07:10 PM (ZshNr)

321 Hearing the trade offers.

Posted by: Lincolntf at April 25, 2013 07:11 PM (ZshNr)

322 It's like Thompson has a knack for scoping out talent from the LA area. We needed a player to stop the run and create pressure, Datone fits the bill. I would have went with Sly Williams but Thompson seems to know his shit.

Posted by: lowandslow at April 25, 2013 07:11 PM (Fz2C7)

323 Hopkins is a good pick for the Pats.

Posted by: lowandslow at April 25, 2013 07:12 PM (Fz2C7)

324 Hopkins went to Houston.

Posted by: Dr Spank at April 25, 2013 07:13 PM (4cRnj)

325 Had Patriots on my brain.

Posted by: lowandslow at April 25, 2013 07:15 PM (Fz2C7)

326 So who does this girl cheer for?  Redskins?

Posted by: Jack Bauer at April 25, 2013 07:18 PM (YxaXw)

327 Vikes going up for Te'o?

Posted by: lowandslow at April 25, 2013 07:19 PM (Fz2C7)

328 Shit, there goes that. 2,3,4 and 7th rounders. Guess I can't complain.

Posted by: Lincolntf at April 25, 2013 07:21 PM (ZshNr)

329 Vikes with the overspend to move up

Posted by: The dude at April 25, 2013 07:21 PM (vJdyz)

330 Got to be WR, Patterson or Hunter.

Posted by: Dr Spank at April 25, 2013 07:22 PM (4cRnj)

331 I'm headed to bed. Kind of a buzzkill.

Posted by: Lincolntf at April 25, 2013 07:24 PM (ZshNr)

332 Te'o it is since he has a hat and jersey?

Posted by: The dude at April 25, 2013 07:25 PM (vJdyz)

333 "Shit, there goes that. 2,3,4 and 7th rounders. Guess I can't complain."

Well they needed the picks, but Minnesota just blew all theirs for three first rounders in a fairly even but deep draft? They're out of their freak'n minds.

Posted by: lowandslow at April 25, 2013 07:28 PM (Fz2C7)

334 I'm back, wow mn shooting its wad in the 1st round and frr agency. Now if they only had a qb, lol

Posted by: Misanthropic humanitarian at April 25, 2013 07:30 PM (HVff2)

335 So a deep threat to a team with a weak arm qb

Posted by: The dude at April 25, 2013 07:30 PM (vJdyz)

336 Belichek what a wizard on draft day

Posted by: Misanthropic humanitarian at April 25, 2013 07:32 PM (HVff2)

337 Belichek's drafts usually suck, he has Tom Brady to fall back on.

Posted by: Dr Spank at April 25, 2013 07:34 PM (4cRnj)

338 Lowandslow Milwaukee urinal sort of high on jones. He sounds physical. And that's one thing we lack is physicality. Lets see what uncle Ted does the rest of the weekend

Posted by: Misanthropic humanitarian at April 25, 2013 07:35 PM (HVff2)

339 "So a deep threat to a team with a weak arm qb"

That'll push them up from their 13 points a game average last year to a 15 points a game average. On behalf of the entire NFC Central, I'd like to thank the Vikings for their stellar choices.

Posted by: lowandslow at April 25, 2013 07:35 PM (Fz2C7)

340 Dr Spank he sucks enough to be in the playoffs every year and how many rings does he have?

Posted by: Misanthropic humanitarian at April 25, 2013 07:36 PM (HVff2)

341 And the NFC North says thanks too you mighty queens. Should be fun listening to queens radio next week on my travels

Posted by: Misanthropic humanitarian at April 25, 2013 07:41 PM (HVff2)

342 Without Brady, Belichek wouldn't have won shit.

Posted by: Dr Spank at April 25, 2013 07:41 PM (4cRnj)

343 And if the dog wouldn't have stopped to pee he would've caught the rabbit. He put weapons around Brady. So we will agree to disagree
