NFL Night Game / Open Thread
— andy

A little late, and, sheesh, cheerleader pickin's are scarce for the night game teams, so let's just go with 2 units of Mk 1, Mod. 0 NFL Blonde Cheerleader.

86 Hey, math majors - or anyone with a brain - can someone explain for me Baye's Theorem, aka the Monty Hall problem?

For those of you who don't know here's the deal-  you're on Let's Make a Deal.  You have three doors to choose from- behind one is a new car, behind the other two are goats.   You select a door, and before revealing it, Monty opens one of the two remaining doors, and reveals a goat.  So now you have two choices, the one you've picked, and the other remaining door.

Now, I would assume the choices are 50-50, but the statisticians say 2/3 of the time, you would win by switching your choice.

I'm too stupid to understand this.   I've read all sorts of explanations on the web, and I still can't grasp. Can anyone in Moron Nation explain?

117 114 Mike Hammer,

water/Fuel Storage Tank....

you want it as inert as can be.

Anyway the notions of Ferrous Magnetism, and Molecular Density are a lot less interesting to our little godling in DC than Reggie Love's Yoga progress and shanking rough putting areas...

124 119 Toby 928th,

Yeah same notion, the Parker Industrial Boiler company started modern industrial boilers of varying metallurgic composition back in '46...

you have to understand what impact the containment vessel has on the media you're manipulating.

Their foray into automatic water softening fascinates me.

136 If you mix the innie in the back with the outie in front does it just flatten out? A classic quantum mechanical question. Perhaps these young lasses will help with the experiment . . . 'Course with my luck I'll just get maced by both of them followed by Mrs. Athens with a plastic spoon and a rusty butter knife.
