— DrewM Live now everywhere.
First though, the administration hit at the NRA.
REUTERS FLASH: WHITE HOUSE SAYS NRA AD CITING OBAMA CHILDREN IS "REPUGNANT AND COWARDLY"
Of course this is the same administration that is hiding behind children to further his gun grabbing agenda.
Oh for God's sake....Obama's statement.
"If there's even one life that can be saved then we have an obligation to try."
Keep an ear out for reporters parroting liberals new talking point calling "gun control" "gun safety".
Obama is now calling for 10 round limit on magazines. No word if he's calling for outlawing "reloading".
And now Obama says the Second Amendment is about "sporting, hunting, personal defense and collecting"
The guy who actively opposed the Born Alive Infant Protection Act has zero moral authority

From AP:
The City of Chicago agreed today to pay a record $22.5 million to a woman who was released from police custody in 2006 and instead of being taken to a hospital for a psychiatric evaluation, she was released into a high crime area where she was gang raped, then thrown from a building and plummeted seven stories. Christina Eilman, was 21 years old when the crime occurred and she suffered permanent brain damage from the fall and has needed constant medical care ever since.

So really, using children at this event today is akin to the Mongols' tactic of strapping captured children to their chests when attacking a settlement, so that anyone who resisted would have to kill their own children in order to defeat the attacker. Except instead of literally killing the children, the Preezy is implying that each one of those children WILL very likely be killed by a gun in the future if we don't all bend our knee and submit to him.
Classy.

Then I ask where the required disclosure statement is on the questionnaire.
Then they tell me they can get in a lot of trouble if I don't fill it out.

He won't like the result. LE focus at the local and national level on stolen guns is vanishingly close to zero.
I've dealt with BATF field office in Miami trying to get them to do something about a crooked FFL who was stealing customers firearms what had been sent out for factory repair.
Their interest level was ZERO. The local PD's interest was also ZERO. I had to show up at the PD toting my Federal and state law books with relevent sections stickynoted before the local PD would even agree to put the gun into the FDLE stolen gun database.

No, it's not.
Like I pointed out- if I were a gun grabbing AG, I would add to the list of people who can't get guns "Member of a Group Identified by the Secretary of Homeland Security as a potential terror threat." Then I'd grab that list that included returning veterans, religious conservatives, members of gun clubs, etc.
Oh, sure, it would be shot down sooner or later, but then when I instituted "more reasonable restrictions," Ace's vaunted Overton Window has moved.
Then there's the one about the CDC preventing gun violence- we already know the DSM-V is highly political. How hard would it be to start adding "owns more than X firearms" to the various "Serious Mental Illness" diagnoses?
No, this is a gun-grabber's wet dream if it isn't actively opposed.

The list of EO is mostly pointless, feel-good bullshit to create the illusion that he's Doing Something.
The CDC pulled the same thing in the past, treating guns like a disease vector. The point is/was to gin up misleading statistics to bolster the case for more gun control.
Some of it looks like an attempt to make more mental health records available to NICS- and realistically, that's long overdue even if an EO isn't the way to go about it.
Basically he's enlisting federal agencies for anti-gun propaganda and creating a little more bureaucracy. Far from the anticipated EO banning "assault weapon" imports.
The pro-gun side is winning this fight, and even TFG knows it.

11. Nominate an ATF director.
Funny. The guy makes a press release saying he is going to be doing his job, one that should have been done already months ago.
18. Provide incentives for schools to hire school resource officers.
But, but, but . . . . The NRA's plan to put armed guards (which is what the euphemistically-termed "school resource officer" is) in schools was blasphemous.
All in all, it's just a bunch of release reports, direct agencies to study the problems and do some other stuff that would not have prevented Sandy Hook, clarify some stuff re: health care and enforcement, and other dog and pony show stuff. For all the bluster, this is all the Brady Bunch gets from TFG. The real fight will be on the bills introduced in congress.

Evena little more bureaucracy is too much.
The best way to counter these EOs is to blast back with how they are:
A) Duplicative of existing initiatives;
B) Expensive "busy work" for bureaucrats; and

And that bit about physically endangering my family and leaving my children fatherless? Please. If the federal government start sending out SWAT or BATF teams to millions of private homes in order to confiscate banned firearms by force, there are greater concerns in play than personal safety.

Using Executive Orders, Obama will not keep you from buying a firearm.
He will however, prevent an FFL from selling you a firearm.
Note in his Executive Orders:
6. Publish a letter from ATF to federally licensed gun dealers providing guidance on how to run background checks for private sellers.
And the ATF will inform all FFL's in that letter that any mistakes made henceforth will be considered willful, subject to the suspension or revocation of their license.

Ha! Doctors have been used as agents of the state for quite a while now. A friend of mine got very jammed up when her son got severely injured in horseplay with his sister when due to a freak accident a major artery to the brain got severed. The burden was on her that she hadn't been beating her son despite the complete lack of evidence that she had. That's exactly opposite to how the country was originally set up; all in the name of caring.

When millions hit the streets to protest tyranny (that's coming), the military, being our sons, daughters, cousins, brothers and sisters, will be loathe to shoot at us. If our numbers are large enough they will join us.
And that's how tyranny ends. It's not the guns, it's the fact we have the guns. It's sort of a Ghandi thing, you wouldn't understand.

There is not one rational reason for an assault weapons ban or a magazine limit requirement.
Not one.
If the GOP cannot defeat this, then the GOP needs to be defeated. We hold one House of Congress. Such legislation should never pass nor should it be considered.
Continue on.

Lips, hell, no one has ever explained those scars on his skull. Think a Republican could have big old scars over his brain and not get questioned? We have known nothing, nada, zip, zilch about the medical history of either BJ Clinton or JEF because they refused to allow the release of the results of their physicals. JEF smokes like a chimney, drinks a lot of fancy booze, and probably has high BP who may be on the verge of stroke for all we know. Given the persistent rumors about his bathhouse adventures, he may have HIV.

Most of the Executive Orders from Obama are (thankfully) impotent. I thought we were going to see something like all assault rifles being classified as Class 3 weapons requiring a license and stamp.
I think Democrats like Reid got to Obama and made him understand they would lose the Senate over this fight.

"No, I will not be asking you or your family whether or not your own a gun. Nor will I be asking how many knives, hammers, baseball bats, nail guns, electric drills, ropes, or blunt objects you have on your premises, because it is none of my concern nor should it be any of the government's business. If you have a problem with this mandate, I have a full practice and you are welcome to take your patronage elsewhere." Signed Dr. (aka Sheriff) _ _ _ _ _ "
