Obama Surgeon General nominee - George Soros
— Purple Avenger

Obama has nominated a new Surgeon General

...will nominate the head of a doctors group...

...Vivek Hallegere Murthy, president of Doctors for America, will succeed Rear Admiral Boris Lushniak, who has been acting as the surgeon general since July...

Doctors for America is a group of 15,000 physicians and medical students that has rallied behind Obamacare...

Who is behind "Doctors for America"?
(Spoiler alert: Center for American Progress)

On to Doctors for America's meatworld presence; Their site lists a contact address:

Doctors for America
1333 H St NW, 10th Floor
Washington, DC 20005
Phone: (202) 478-5327
1333 H St NW is notable, it has its own Wiki entry.
Tenants include the Center for American Progress, American Constitution Society, the Economic Policy Institute, and Reuters, among others.
ACS and EPI are both progressive/left organizations too.

When we look at CAP's staff list, we find the linkage to DFA. It seems DFA is being run as some sort of sub-project under the CAP umbrella:

Doctors for America
Rachel Curley, Special Assistant
Brannon Jordan, Communications Manager

image

How tight are CAP and DFA? Well, they're both located at 1333 H St NW and they're both on the 10th Floor, and DFA is listed by CAP as a CAP "project". Pretty tight. DFA claims to be a "grassroots" and "non-partisan" in its mission statement.

...Doctors for AmericaÂ’s grassroots, broad-based coalition...

...we are a non-partisan, non-profit and do not endorse any candidates or parties. We are not affiliated with any partisan group or with the administration.

  • DFA is a CAP "project"

  • CAP is run by John Podesta

  • CAP gets funding from George Soros

  • CAP runs the ThinkProgress blog
NON. PARTISAN.

I also dug into the DFA "leadership" looking for political donations using OpenSecrets. I found that the leadership who had records of political donations only donated to Democrats and leftist organization. Shocker eh?

So we have Vivek Murthy, the Obama Surgeon General nominee, running DFA, which is an obvious front organization (and not even a thinly disguised one at that) for CAP, which is run by Podesta and funded by Soros.

2 I wouldn't say "Domains by Proxy" is in and of itself sketchy.  I use them myself for my domains-- it's just basic identity protection when you're running a website and don't want the whole world knowing your address.  I've never had any problems with them.  But for a supposed public organization like this, yeah, contact information should be provided.

6 Also it looks like the complaint is against mugshotworld.com, not Domains by Proxy. Domains by Proxy is just the company mugshotworld is using to not give an address-- they don't have anything to do with the fraud here.

11 Purp, seriously-- I just looked up some random websites and that PMB provided at Ripoff Report is the one given for every single person using the service.  You might be onto something with the H Street address, but Domains by Proxy itself really doesn't have anything to do with this.

27 Oh, and Gloria Borger tries to defend the indefensible. She proposes Obama truly didn't know how bad the ACA rollout was going to be because No Drama Obama has a no drama rule. Thus, no one can ever give him any bad news because there's no "'zone of immunity for truth telling'" for anyone to do that. Also the lack of a Rollout Czar is responsible, as well. From Time (this thing should be put out of it's misery, seriously, it would be the humane thing to do): "And yet, as the dry-runs continued to produce red flags—over and over—the president remained in his steely cocoon. If this were the presidency of George W. Bush or Ronald Reagan, the obvious theories would abound: the chief executive is disengaged. Or incurious. Or worse. But since Obama is none of the above, what gives? This much is clear, after speaking with both past and present senior administration officials: no one was really in charge, so no one knew for sure how bad the overall picture was. What’s more, and—perhaps most telling—no one wanted to even hint to the president that this techno-savvy administration possibly had a website stuck in, say, 1995. “People don’t like to tell him bad news,” says an ex-White House staffer. “Part of it is the no-drama culture.”

29 Every Organization for Obama has now morphed into whatever for America, each with their very own Obama flunky at the realm and each, I am assuming, hitting up the Democratic donor class for cash.

OFA is Obama's means to hijack the Democrat party and turn it into his own cult of personality party.

YES, it been documented that OFA is heavily cannibalizing DNC donations.

The DNC is hemorrhaging red ink and deeply in debt and OFA is getting all the big donations.

Posted by: axethecatwithgoldeneyes at November 18, 2013 04:29 AM (bxpf3)

35 Grassroots. That's fucking hysterical. "Doctors" do not do "grassroots". Grassroots movements are by the people and for the people - at least allegedly. Overly educated, well paid doctors do not have the time or the inclination to start grassroots organizations to benefit "the people". Doctors benefit "the people" by being - doctors.

43 Not surprising. He appointed NYC SEIU/ACORN/WFP flunky Patrick Gaspard as Ambassador to South Africa. He's certainly not any different than previous Presidents in that he appoints his biggest helpers to important posts. It is diagnostic to note that he rarely reaches out past organizations that supported him *personally* and not much into the regular Democratic Party. He just doesn't seem to like Democrats all that very much - they were just useful. He basically has created his own party apparatus inside the "progressive" movement. They literally could break out, call themselves the Progressive Party, and decimate the Democrats across the nation.

He's president and Chairman of a non-profit, Visions Worldwide, founded a company, is an attending and instructor for Harvard at Brigham Women's and Children and has been politically active. Obama appointed him to some HHS committee in 2011. You can rest assured this guy's clinical experience is pretty thin. He would be the youngest surgeon general ever (I'm sure the limp wristed Republicans will let him sail through). He's of Indian descent, born in England, emigrated here at age 3.

88 I honestly can't believe Obama's doing this right now. He's forcing the SENATE to essentially have hearings on Obamacare. Posted by: AmishDude Good point. It's a loyalty test for Democrats. If they don't toe the line and say the right things, they will be attacked by another Obama Front Organization.

91 It's sad that medicine is becoming more political.  I bought some Baileys to enjoy while watching this all burn.

92 My point about the doctors is that this country is turning left - not nazi or islamoterroist (though the last one may be debatable). This country needs an intervention. I think the rise of Russia and China and there open aggressiveness towards the US may shock us back to our senses. I will all the leftists in this country would go live in lefty heaven, aka, Venezuela.

93 Presumably this was already mentioned upthread, but "Doctors for America" used to be called "Doctors for Obama" when he was running for election.

Yup. . .this is an Obama lobbying group, PERIOD.

94 The list of nazi war criminals is filled with doctors and lawyers. When you think about it in a mere 12 years the nazis infiltrated every social institution in Germany and turned it into shit: medicine, legal, education, art, etc. Social revolutions should always be suspect. And that is what obama and his followers are trying to do to this country. Oh, and that guy from recent conflicts in Yugoslavia was also a doctor.

95 Not. Going. To. Happen. Ask questions of The Presidents Nominee ? Are you a traitor or a heretic, hobbity wacko-bird ? And there will be no intervention, decades of "education" has left most people mentally gelded. Brawndo's got what plants crave !

96 Now, to be fair, Dr Carlson was TFG's first choice, but Dr C demurred as he had to wash his hair that night.

97 According to Wiki, he finished his residency in 2006! He also got an MBA in 2003 in Healthcare Management. He's president and Chairman of a non-profit, Visions Worldwide, founded a company, is an attending and instructor for Harvard at Brigham Women's and Children and has been politically active.

...so except for school, he's never actually practiced.

What could go wrong?

102 Every nomination is a socialist who's centered their life around its agenda. But he's not a socialist.

There are also a remarkable amount of doctors among the leadership of al-Qaeda and other Islamic fundamentalist groups.

It used to be the profession producing lunatics was engineering. Or perhaps that should be the profession attracting latent lunatics. Back in the 60s and 70s there were a bunch of guys with serious credentials who went nuts in middle-age and began touting perpetual motions systems.

109 So he has, at most, only has a couple of years of actual clinical experience?  And the rest of the time has been acting as a technocrat and CEO/principal of various internet research companies?

Oh, but he went to Harvard, like Obama, so I'm sure he'll be just fine.
