Obama: Too Many Americans Blame Both Parties for Shutdown
— Ace

It's bizarre -- so many Americans not in the media think that when two parties have an unresolvable disagreement, both share fault (or credit) for sticking to their guns to and refusing to negotiate.

Of course, in this case, only one side is refusing to negotiate.

Did you know this? In the days before the shutdown, Obama kept calling Boehner to reach out to him.... to tell him he wouldn't negotiate.

President Barack Obama repeatedly complained on Thursday that the public took a skeptical attitude toward his decision to shutdown the government rather than agree to the GOPÂ’s Obamacare reform proposals.

According to the president, too many Americans believe “both sides are just squabbling” and “neither side is behaving properly.”

All he does is complain. He's so femmy.

No Drama Obama, huh? Yeah.

Nick Gillespie of Reason answers Obama and his acolytes, starting with the headline:

There Are Those Who Say Lord Obama Has No Responsibility for Gov't Shutdown

Meanwhile, another show in the #ShutdownTheater National Revue has been closed -- by which I mean the Air Force/Navy game is back on.

Air Force will play Saturday at Navy as a $230,000 gift will cover the teamÂ’s expenses and avert a possible cancellation of the football rivalry game resulting from the government shutdown.

NavyÂ’s official website announced the news that the game would be played, saying approval was handed down from the Department of Defense to play the sold-out game.

At that point, Boehner needs to get the troops to the White House and arrest the son of a bitch. Yeah, I know, I know. But seriously. At that point, the Constitution or what is left of it will vanish.

22 So the "tea crazed shooter" turns out to be a black woman, 34, dental hygienist and mother from CT. They'd ask her what happened but she's refusing to speak. I of course don't have a problem with officers using deadly force if that's what had to be done, I just can't tell whether that had to be done. If this were LA or NY people would be screaming about police brutality. But if it happens in DC I guess the rules are different, shoot first to protect the political class.

Why bother? They already passed CRs with defnunding Obamacare, and another with a one year individual mandate dalay. This ends whenever the Senate gets around to passing one of those.

If the Senate doesn't act, there's no good reason not to keep the government shut down until the elections in November.

Russell Simmons, Jay-Z and Bey could pay for the Obamaphones, Eva Longoria could donate the money the Feds usually kick in to Planned Parenthood. Al Gore could single handedly pay for the EPA. Madonna could fork over the cash for the NEA. Bill and Hill could fund Head Start. Shaq and LeBron could pay for all the midnight basketball programs across the country. Barbara Streisand, Bette Midler, and Cher could provide the monies f for the Department of Education. Oprah could front the bucks for Obamacare since she was so instrumental in saddling America with him.

My daughter is taking honors American Government and Economic System this fall. I asked her yesterday if her class was talking about the shutdown.  She said, "OMG, yes, and everyone thinks Obama is just sitting on his ass and should just quit."

Obama may think he has fundamentally transformed America, but as yet he has not fundamentally transformed most Americans' expectations of what a President is supposed to do when different factions are squabbling: he's supposed to nut up and get it solved.  Even a bunch of 16-year-olds know that.  Obama is abdicating here and people are noticing.

Shoulda been done a long time ago. Some time in mid-2009 would have been about right.

Sad thing is that if someone showed enough courage to uphold the law, there would be a shortage of orange jumpsuits. We'd probably have to hand at least some over to Sheriff Joe, and put 'em in pink undies.

Probably not more than 650-700 requiring immediate incarceration.

Are you that dense. The reason the left doesn't pillory Mark Levin is because he's a plant? Talk to the average LIV and they have no idea who Mark Levin even is. Why would the left do us the favor of making him more famous? They tried it with Rush in the 80s and it didn't work out well at all.

94 Obama: Too Many Americans Blame Both Parties for Shutdown

Instead of blaming just the Republicans, I suppose?

We need to destroy the Media.  The Media is what allows Schumer, Landieu, Reid and Pelosi to say and do whatever they wish to do with no consequences whatsoever.

Now, of course, the Media is going to be focusing fully on the Republican guy who called a CNN dim-babe "beautiful" and how awful all the Republicans are because of this.

They then get whiffs of news, repeatedly, carried on like ebola virus thanks to the willing lapdog media, that this is all the Tea Party and evil Republican's fault.

The freaking media does not report that Mt Vernon is closed and supported by private funds. That the WWII Memorial was created by private funds. Oh, no. They would not report that, after all, there were gunshots today.

One thing you CAN do is call/email/write/fax your Republican reps in DC and tell them to get a better and more coordinated messaging system---to fight the lapdog media the best they can. This is not "just" about Obamacare, it is about the US Treasury lying for 100 straight days about our debt exceeding $16 trillion and why we should not accrue more debt with "free" medical care or amnesty. Or why we should not be giving billions to Syria.

But I digress...let your representative know they need to, NOW, do a better job with the message. For five years the Dems have run full court press and the GOP has looked like second string bench-warmers with the flu. The time is now to wake the hell up.

My attitude is that those 800,000 is just a good start.

My idea of bipartisan "reaching across the aisle" is to bitch slap them. I watched a special on Dolly Madison a few years ago. Congress used to have duels and beat each other with canes. I say bring back that time. I think Cruz could hold his own and smack Harry around with one hand tied behind his back.

A reporter, today, did not get the message about the potential barricade busting woman in DC. I have no idea who he was, but he kept asking "is this terrorist-related?" And I kept thinking, "wut?" Then I heard "Is she from Somolia?" and the police froze for a few seconds. I also have a glass half-full of hope that, since Benghazi and they were all played as utter fools, that some in the media are getting weary of the hope-n-change crapola.

197 The end game for the republicans should be a bill that funds Obamacare and requires everybody participate, no exceptions.  The dems could never stand having to explain that to all the groups they have given exemptions. If they did pass it, it would get fixed quicker because they would have to bow to the unions, donors and special interest groups. And all this crap is just the prep for blaming republicans for the debt ceiling and the coronation of our imperial president ( and the shredding of the rest of the constitution ).

Ayup. Anyone in Utah that adores Clinton is an idiot.

There is a big outdoor retail show in SLC that brings millions to our state. When our governor and legislators were fighting DC on getting our lands back, they actually had the gall to threaten our governor that they would PULL OUT if we went through with getting our lands back. "Nice expo you got there; be a shame if something happened to it..." Ecowarriors are worse than the mafia.

I think possibly part of the Reps. strategy on this shutdown is the longer Obamacare seems like a fuck up the more people will be pissed.  Don't say the Reps. have no strategy, if they do have one they'd be fools to announce it.

Not saying they are not too dumb NOT to have a strategy, but they just might and be smart enough not to announce.

Oh, I get it...Catholic priests are told they risk arrest and imprisonment for volunteering to attend to the faithful with saying mass on Sunday (which if you didn't know is an OBLIGATION), performing scheduled baptisms and weddings or administering last rites at military installations and VA facilities, People living in national parks are not allowed to go home, but the great and mighty god of FOOTBALL is allowed to go on with private funds.

Why ruin a good crisis?

B@$t@rd$, pure and simple.
