Whenever Barack Obama is in trouble, which is about every month, he summons Leftist Bloggers Ezra Klein, Josh Marshall, and Matt Yglesias to the White House to put out his latest talking points and coordinated messaging.
I imagine he doesn't think we should ignore the people he's inviting to the White House to fill with poll-tested messaging.

Coincidentally, I have just about quit paying attention to our govt. I give far more time to to what the blogs have to say than anything coming from any politician, especially from the likes pf Obama. The blogs may get things wrong sometimes and are highly ideological but they are more accurate, trustworthy and realistic than ANY Dem and many Repubs, that's for sure.

The lead this morning on local news (which they just read as handed down from HQ) was "Has the damage already been done". In other words, all problems arising from here on can be laid on the tea party. That conveniently dovetailed nicely into Obama's scolding speech that came later. Almost like it was coordinated.
As they praise Obama for saving us from the default that was never really possible, they have no clue that out of control spending is bad for credit worthiness. They instead stated that not raising the debt ceiling fast enough, was what would make people think our credit was weaker.

Principles are the physical laws (eg F=ma) which help us understand new conditions and formulate new policies; because the principles are based in realism, that is, how the world really works, they provide guidance where we don't have specific experience.
That said, I also understand why you scoff at the proposed principles. So here's the conundrum: your 'realism is for adults' has as its foundation, sand. Your realism is not based in 'reality', it is based in 'reality as perceived by people who live in DC and/or are politically connected'. The principles on which our country was founded have a foundation of bedrock. When we left those principles behind, it becomes only a question of how much time will pass until the foundation cracks and the structure collapses. That is reality.

Actually IE is the first to implement "Do Not Track" as a default, and a few places (not many though) have partaken. Twitter for exampled picked it right up and said "cool, tracking turned off."
