OBL to AQ: don't bother targeting Biden for assassination
— Purple Avenger

Ouch.

...Other papers suggest Bin Laden ordered his militants to look out for opportunities to assassinate President Obama or David Petraeus during any of their visits to Pakistan and Afghanistan. Mr Petraeus, now CIA director, formerly commanded international forces in Afghanistan.

But Bin Laden warned them not to bother targeting Vice-President Joe Biden because "Biden is totally unprepared for that post [of president], which will lead the US into a crisis."...

I wonder what made OBL think that Obama was more prepared for the job than Joe? Maybe he bought into Hope'n Change too?

1 is totally unprepared for that post [of president], which will lead the US into a crisis. Guess Obama wasn't all that prepared, either.

35 President Obama's decision last week to suspend the employer mandate of the Affordable Care Act may be welcome relief to businesses affected by this provision, but it raises grave concerns about his understanding of the role of the executive in our system of government.

Article II, Section 3, of the Constitution states that the president "shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed." This is a duty, not a discretionary power. While the president does have substantial discretion about how to enforce a law, he has no discretion about whether to do so.

This matter—the limits of executive power—has deep historical roots. During the period of royal absolutism, English monarchs asserted a right to dispense with parliamentary statutes they disliked. King James II's use of the prerogative was a key grievance that lead to the Glorious Revolution of 1688. The very first provision of the English Bill of Rights of 1689—the most important precursor to the U.S. Constitution—declared that "the pretended power of suspending of laws, or the execution of laws, by regal authority, without consent of parliament, is illegal."

To make sure that American presidents could not resurrect a similar prerogative, the Framers of the Constitution made the faithful enforcement of the law a constitutional duty.

I was just thinking about the Zimmerman judge allowing  Voltron's toxicology results into  evidence and what the arguments about the presence of THC might be.

The common  "knowledge" is that  THC makes you mellow, hungry, happy, and  all you want to do is take a nap after you play frisbee with your friends,  man...

It's impossible that   a pothead could ever be angry.  BUT.

Look at the last thread.  Tell a pothead  that you think pot  should  be illegal and you get all kinds of angry and irrational shit.  Clearly the science is not settled.

Here's a possibility:  When Trebuchet  turned around to confront Zimmerman, and asked him, "What's your problem?"  Zimmerman replied, "The legalization of marijuana,"  I think it  is definitely  plausible that  Zardoz  flew into a  pothead  berserker   rage, requiring Zimmerman to resort to lethal force in defense of his life.

Biden could not do any worse than Obama and that is a fact. Actually because Biden is not controlled by the same criminal outfit that I believe Obama is, I think we would be in far better shape with Biden becoming President. Though it may be a little late for his Presidency to do anything that will reverse this runaway train though it might not add any other explosives to it.

144 Biden's worst quality -- and there are many to choose from -- is his inability to laugh at himself. His desire to elevate himself, even if it means exaggerating or telling lies (like the infamous campaign appearance in NH in 1988 when he ran for POTUS), shows that he's a pathetic, clownish man who knows that he's in over his head but tries to cover it up with aggressiveness, glibness, and by pretending that he's just one of the guys (which is the main cause for him saying the most inappropriate things). We spend a lot of time talking about how Obama is a douche. But Biden's douchiness and arrogance are on the same level as Obama's.

The Oakland thing pissed me off to start with because the kid was tear-assing around to begin with and resisting arrest, while the cop INTENDED to taze him but accidentally shot him instead because he grabbed the wrong device from his belt. The cop got off on charges but was dismissed from duty and will be traumatized the rest of his life by what he did. 192 There are a few different metaphors in play with this tragic story of a town's demise.  Of a giant sink hole being created by an accident that caused a salt dome to collapse.  The hungry maw is still expanding even as it fills with much.  And it also threatens residents because it is leaking natural gas and oil.

193 Killing Obama would have been a huge symbol and caused a huge morale hit in America.  Killing Slow Joe wouldn't accomplish much for them.
