This the Gay Outreach Effort.
— Ace Yeah... so here's what we've learned: When Obama's friends on the left want to advertise to gays, they do not do so with a great deal of subtlety.
They just put it right on out there.
The video is not entirely safe for work -- it's not pornographic, per se. It is, however, Super Gay, and I do mean "super" with a few extra s's.
If you play this at work, you can expect questions. Even if you work in Lady Gaga's publicity office, people are still going to say, "Dude, what I just saw on your computer was ridiculously gay."
The Gay Costume Party in JFK just emailed me to say, "Yeah... that's over the top."
The guy who sang "What, What, In the Butt?" just said, "I'm offended."
If you don't want to watch it, here's the best description I can muster: You know that Kate Upton Easter Bunny Ad? Yeah, it's like that,* except with Christmas, and Dudes. Just imagine that and you're on the right track.
It is hard to take the left seriously when it accuses the right in trafficking in easy, insulting stereotypes when it appears they do little but that themselves.
You can click on the link to go to Reason's article, and then decide once you're there if you want to row your boat into a category 5 Maelstrom of Gay.
Oh: The goofing on Footie Pajama Guy continues. Apparently Footie Pajama Guy first appeared in anti-Japanese WWII Army propaganda posters:

* So why is it that I'm not making fun of the Kate Upton Easter Bunny ad?
Because shut up that's why.
Actually, until this moment, I never even questioned what that ad was actually selling.
It turns out -- I think -- that it's not an ad at all. It's a "short film" by "Emily Weiss," whoever that is. Some kind of fashion maven.
I have never, until this moment, wondered what that ad was for, or why it was made. I think I just assumed it was for Carl's Junior (though I never wondered why there was no hamburger ever present).
I just enjoyed it, and accepted it, and knew the world was Good.
So it turns out it's not even an ad. It's Art -- that's what it is.

Real quote:
What if IÂ’m transgender?
Being transgender is no longer a preexisting condition – and insurance companies cannot refuse to sell you a plan or charge you more based on your gender identity.
If you are a transgender person, you have the right to expect that your plan will cover the services you need as long as those services are covered for other people on your plan. These services may include preventive screenings such as mammograms, Pap tests, and prostate exams; hormone therapy; and mental health services. Depending on your plan, these services may also include surgical procedures related to gender transition.

Conor Gaughan
Out2Enroll and I took a risk to try and challenge that. We decided to wrap the message of health insurance enrollment in fabulous package with some holiday cheer. The result was the Get Enrolled campaign, which we hope builds visibility for this important issue.
Does it use some self-deprecating stereotypes? Perhaps. Is it unconventional? Certainly. Trivial? Far from it. We believe that our fun and playful video will be an effective tool to raise awareness among the LGBT community, and specifically younger gay men.

Think about it: in all probability, these Obamacare outreach advertisements are the result of careful focus group studies conducted by armies of researchers, media gurus and marketing experts, all of whom spent sleepless nights for the last several months wargaming and brainstorming and strategizing, and this...this is what they come up with.
What we're seeing with the gay Christmas ad, the three bros for life doing headstands on a kegger ad, the guy in the jammies ad, and the tramp with the hot guy grateful for free birth control ad is a weird kind of funhouse mirror effect: this is what they think we are. They--the ruling elites of the political class--are projecting their perceptions of us back at us. Frankly, it's more than a little disquieting. The disconnect is surreal.

============
That is a very astute observation, Sir.

or Red....
I was discussing the historic Vlad Dracula with Lad10077 this evening.
I miss tough Christianity.

What would you bet that the author of the anonymous letter has at least one bumper sticker on their car that expresses their beliefs?

Transgenders? There is a whole other can of worms when it comes to chronic medical issues leading to significant expenses.
I have to wonder whether anyone on the left is starting to understand why the Heritage folks offered the rudiments of this as a counter to HillaryCare back in the 90s? The whole point was that this scheme could never work if you to get actual humans involved, no matter how favorable the math looked in the spreadsheet.

Speaks volumes, dunnit? Dems assume gays are rutting animals, and must be appealed to on that level.

I have often wondered the same thing. Who decided that lispy mincing was "gay"? Not all gays do it, but a subset do. What is the point?

Even a bit more involved than that. According to DKos, the models are the same ones from a gay anti-Romney ad in the last election.
So, same people made both? Political group morphed into a supposedly non-political advocacy group?

Today Rush wondered why the Left never bothers the Muslims about their beliefs and practices. It's because the Left has quietly partnered-up with the Muslims in a quasi-the-enemy-of-my-enemy way.
Their common enemy is, of course, White Western Christians.

A common bumper sticker in the Left Wing communities up here is BE KIND.
You'll see it accompany their obama/biden, equal sign, and Recycle stickers. It really is a flagrant display of their belief system.

Which is odd, when you consider that every place where communists have taken power has pretty much made being gay a jailable or even a capital offense.

You really do not want to broadcast that too loudly.
The GOP will have to work hard to lose the house and working hard they are by God.

It's simpler than that. They genuinely fear violent reprisals from the Muslims but know the same is extremely unlikely from any but a few deranged individuals among non-Muslims. So the people who actual chop off heads get better treatment than those who merely disagree in a civil fashion.

I came of age in the Seventies, okay? You know, the Seventies: leisure suits of colors not found in nature, platform shoes, disco lights, and lots and lots of casual sex. Which more or less made up for the leisure suits.

Baucus, 72, previously announced that he won't seek reelection to the Senate in 2014.

the federal government of the US is expending OUR money to promote high-risk homosexual behavior in order to further their far-left political agenda while forcing all of us to pay for this behavior though taxes?
we are lost.
