Since all y'all have been slacking off in the ONT all week, I figure hey why not me too. So just be grateful to get even this mockery of a sham of an ONT.

Great Dumb Liberal Theories

The Tea Party Is Really All About Alger Hiss

No Whitaker Chambers (and Joe McCarthy) Are to Blame for The Tea Party

The NRA is Why People Hate the TSA

The Failure of ObamaCare is All the Fault of Libertarian Michael Cannon

OMFG Did You Hear About Martin Luther King Being Killed in a Car Accident Last Week?!!?

The LIVs weigh on what his recent death means for the civil rights movement.

Take Back the Night...From Whom?

The liberal elite of Davis, CA mostly care about fake crimes but no so much about actual real horrific ones that really happened.

From 1999 through 2011, the city recorded three murders, 33 rapes, 38 robberies, and 41 assaults. The city's violent crime rate in 2011 was far below the national average-a pattern that held for the previous decade, too. Oddly, reports from the University of California at Davis during roughly the same period paint a nightmarish picture of a place resembling early 1990s New York City. Why might that be? For 16 years, a woman named Jennifer Beeman ran the UC Davis Campus Violence Prevention Program, an arm of the campus police department. In 2011, a Yolo County superior court judge sentenced Beeman to 180 days in state prison and five years' probation for embezzlement and falsification of records pertaining to campus violence.

26 Today my brother in law had all treatment for his cancer stopped. He is a UNC grad and was in the hospital at Duke. He said today was a good day because a Duke fan had to inform him this morning that they lost last night. This evening when the hospice people left his house, they asked what he would like, he said "to play a round of golf." If you don't know him, those two thoughts might seem like a brave face while confronting mortality, but if you know him, any day Duke loses is good and what he wants is always one more round of golf. In days or weeks, the world is going to lose a great man.

Yep,
It was Seattle. The collectors set-up in the line to "Turn in your Guns" and offered more than the Seattle PD would pay.
Any decent guns, or collectables, were snatched from the assholes who would just melt them down.
Many fine firearms were saved from the assholes on that day!
Seattle is full of leftist, statist, assholes, but the gunners are alive and well!
So it goes...

42 Question for Morons:

If you believe, as I do, that consumer spending will decrease among those affected by Obamacare: What stocks are best to short?

Obviously optional or easily delayed consumer products for the upper middle class. I don't see high end luxury getting hit too badly. This is an attack on the freelancer, the contractor, the well-off people who have their shit together enough to not need a boss and to buy insurance.

113 I can't help but wonder, as the public finds-out how much their insurance is going to go up, how it's going to affect the retail sector in the holiday(Christmas) season. This is where the retail sector either "makes their nut" or goes into the red.
I think this is going to be brutal. Folks are going to see their insurance costs double, or triple. They are NOT going to feel really free to buy "toys" for themselves, or their children.

213 For those of you who missed the hearing today, Trey Gowdy questions Park: --------------- The South Carolina Republican said Todd Park should be able to tell him “what law” dictated that HealthCare.gov, the flawed federal website tied to Obamacare, had to launch on Oct. 1. When Mr. Park demurred, Mr. Gowdy told him to give it a go, since he’s “the smartest one in the room.” Mr. Park disagreed with that assessment. “”Don’t short yourself. You’re the smartest one in the room,” Mr. Gowdy said. “Trust me, I’ve been in this room for a while.” ------------------- A LOT of laughter on that one.

We have chatted a few times and once talked for more than an hour about all kinds of things. Fred is/was pretty nice and checked in on me a couple of times since I live alone and we even swapped phone numbers. He is/was late-40s to early-50s. The police knocked on my door a couple of hours ago, asking whether I had heard any commotion or whether I had seen him out and about today. I have not. His girlfriend was with them and said that she had seen him yesterday. A little while later the FD and ambulance showed up. A few minutes ago they left, with their lights on, but were in no hurry whatsoever. His girlfriend and an elderly couple I presume to be his parent walked out and didn't look well. I think they followed the ambulance away. I pray he's alright but it didn't look good.

Think that's referring to the Obamacare ad that advertises a girl can sleep with whomever because she's got, like, birth control through O-care.   Act like a ho -> Ho-care.

Flew in and out of your airport.   Silly me.  The flight in was full of sugared-up kids on their way to Dizzneelann.  Had the high pitched whine that was crafted by mother nature to make you spinal fluid boil at room temperature.

Flight out was full of exhausted sugared-up kids on their way home from Dizzneelann.  Actually gave me fond memories of the flight in.   Then, just for the cherry on top, when you take off from your airport the pilot yanks back on the stick and makes everyone's stomach jump and then they level off so they can coast over Balboa Island cuz rich snobs are not supposed to have to listen to jet noise.  That got the exhausted sugared-up kids whining right from the outset.  Good times.

"Evil circumstances are changed into good when they are received with an enduring trust in the Love of God, while good circumstances may be changed to evil when we become attached to them through the love of self. Nothing in us or around us is truly good until we become detached from the world and totally abandoned to God. So even though you are now in bad circumstances, put yourself confidently and without reserve into His hands.....I pray for you with all my heart." Good advice-sometimes really hard to do. Like it or not, Jerry, there is an invisible line here on this site.  Some people really don't mind all this Obamacare business.  The problem for you (and a few others) is that the things you say sometimes sound like you are on the other side of that line.

No offense, but you're going to be scrutinized just the same as those who come here, and disingenuously claim to be part of "us" when they really are lying snakes.

This really is the hill to die on.  There will be casualties... there already are.

It must be dawn in America on the East (actually leftist ) coast. @ 54 (Felon spoke). I always like this one for a bible quote..... Ephesians 6:11 -18 . I was actually in Turkey working and had the chance to visit Ephesos. It used to be a coastal city but the sea moved back several miles. But I am diverging..Back to Ephesians! "Be strong in the Lord and his mighty power! Put on the full armor of the God, so you can take your stand against the Devils schemes! For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, BUT AGAINST RULERS, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so when the day of evil comes you may be able to 'stand your ground" and after you have done everything to stand, Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the Gospel of peace! In addition to all this, take up the shield of Faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one! Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God! That's how us ole gunslingers down Texas way say!
