Well nothing so terrible - mostly it was routine work from three postponed visits combined into one along with short-handed staff plus a lot of chit-chat plus education films plus scheduling plus billing = 3.2 hours gone.

I recall, when I was at the dentist getting a root canal done (ugh), that it seemed like forever that it took for them to put the cap on my tooth, and I was like, while we are waiting, aren't bacteria sneaking back into my exposed hole of a tooth? Isn't this a bad thing? WHY CAN'T YOU HURRY THE FUCK UP? of course the nitrous inhibited the audibilization of these thoughts. but still.

My top was 2 at the dentist however 3.2 hours at the hair salon happens 4 times a year. I love the off months where I am only there for 2 hours. This aging business is for the birds. Hubby says "let it go" I'm half tempted sometime to not go for 3 months and see how he feels. I'm one of those "early gray"

elizabethe, ya know, I have thought much the same thing, why the tests couldn't be digitized and the grading be conducted online. but, in part, it is because there is a monopoly on these types of tests so there isn't a whole lot of incentive for them to change how they are graded compared to how it was done 30+ years ago.

I have to admit I am 43 and just got a debit card last year. I have a habit of losing things and hubby told me I couldn't be trusted with one. So far I have only had to replace it twice! When we were first married he gave me his CC to use a few times. I lost it twice in the Pamida parking lot and the same guy found it both times and brought it back to my husband. For some reason he keeps bringing that up.

Posted by: Tami at May 30, 2013 10:36 PM (X6akg)
This right here. I have had numerous root canals and crowns -- all at great expense -- and what they do not tell you is that once you have the root canal, the tooth is basically dead. So, eventually, the root will crack and then you have no alternative to losing it and getting an implant, unless you count living in excruciating pain. Far cheaper to just yank the muthafucka and do the implant in the first place. Who knew?

I put several of my larger monthly bills on a credit card, mainly to keep the high-limit card alive but also to write only one check instead of several. The only place I ever write checks outside of bills are doctor, dentist and car mechanic. Everything else goes on the AmEx or the debit card. People who write checks for groceries should be beaten. Severely.

The Government takes 31% off the top... then there is 4% used to run it... and then take 50% of the other 65% of the winning purse...
So... 63% goes to the Government... its a Tax on the stupid.

I went to a new uber cutting dude 2 days later who was highly recommended. He lectures around the country to teach other dudes the new techniques. He was horrified at what he saw and told me the implant should have been done the day of the extraction, and could be with the new techniques. He had a nurse take 2 vials of my blood, then harvested my DNA and used that to grow the bone, and did the bone graft and implant in one visit. No swelling, no pain.
The old methods are truly fucking medieval. The first dude was doing implants for 20 years and I was in pain for a week after his half assed attempt. I didn't even need pain pills with the second dude. He pulled a miracle, he fixed everything from the first fucknut and did an amazing job. The dude saved me from needing a bridge

Well, intercourse a duck:
Here are the seven gun bills the Senate approved Wednesday:
• SB 47 by Sen. Leland Yee, D-San Francisco, to ban so-called "bullet buttons" used to get around existing laws banning detachable magazines.
• SB 53 by Sen. Kevin de León, D-Los Angeles, to create new state permits that require background checks for buyers of ammunition.
• SB 374 by Steinberg, D-Sacramento, to ban detachable magazines in rifles.
• SB 396 by Sen. Loni Hancock, D-Berkeley, to prohibit possession of magazines that hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition.
• SB 567 by Sen. Hannah-Beth Jackson, D-Santa Barbara, to change the definition of certain kinds of shotguns to make them assault weapons.
• SB 683 by Sen. Marty Block, D-San Diego, to require all gun buyers to take a firearm safety class and earn a safety certificate.
• SB 755 by Sen. Lois Wolk, D-Davis, to increase the number of crimes – including offenses related to drug addiction, chronic alcoholism and others – that result in a 10-year ban on being allowed to own a gun.

We are going to the range tomorrow--messing around downstairs and found 2 bricks of .22LR. That led to a total ammo inventory. I could supply enough for a decent squad size firefight, methinks.
Other stuff looks to be getting easier to find lately, I see.

Passed the assembly. Now onto the Senate and Brown.
Under AB 10, the hourly minimum wage would increase to $8.25 in 2014, $8.75 in 2015 and $9.25 in 2016. Beginning in 2017, the minimum wage would be adjusted annually according to the rate of inflation. There would be no changes in years in which inflation was negative.

What is it that so effectively prevents the creation of the Gay Scouts?
1) It doesn't meet their desired goal of forcing straights to not only tolerate them but actively celebrate homosexuality and pretend that it's complete interchangeable with heterosexuality.
2) They want to have plausible deniability when scoutmasters are inevitably caught fucking scouts under their care.

Of course. There are a number of gay men out there who are pleasant to be around, funny, unassuming, friendly, social, and whose lives revolve around something other than their gayness. Take Gabe, for instance -- he's a complete mensch. Then there are the spittle-flecked h8r nutcases out there, who I strongly suspect tend more-than-a-little to the pedophile bracket -- the people who can't socialize with "filthy breeders", who try to constantly shout down other points of view, and who constantly wage lawfare to destroy anything they can't dominate.

The vast majority are not. The problems are that:
a) The lines become a lot blurrier when you start talking about early to mid teens. The recent spate of teacher/student sex cases is a perfect example of the kinds of problems that you face even with heterosexuals, which leads to
b) Most people would think it entirely inappropriate for a late 30s to early 40s man to take a large group of 13-18 year old girls camping. The potential for abuse would be noted. With that in mind, why shouldn't we apply the same standards to homosexual males that we do to heterosexual males?
c) Finally, like it or not there is a significant portion of gay culture that embraces and fetishizes youth. Kevin Jennings and his groups awful book recommendations are a perfect example.

How many reports of priests screwing teen girls have you read in the MSM? And I doubt the MSM would be giving straight priests a pass and covering those up.

I refused to photograph any of the Home Stuck trolls. Or the Narutards.
Got to hotel just before 5pm. Managed to survive Dallas Frogger traffic no less. Got room and unloaded car. Then went over to the official con hotel the Anatole. Place is major swank. Lots of Far Eastern art scattered through it. Just hope it survives the con-goers. Plus plenty of room to do photo-shoots without tripping over other groups.
Two Friday panels are - Famous Monsters of Kaijuland, pretty self-explanatory. Another is Mobile Game Production that is supposed to self-publishing and producing games in the mobile game market; Patrick Owens of Fractal Fox will be running it.

Tonight, we started with paint-covered boobehs and grocery stores...and that somehow led to gay priests and girl scouts.

I know I'm late but I love that grocery store map. Makes me wanna ask the horde for their scariest Wal-Mart shopping stories.
Here's mine from about two months ago. Naturally the closest Wal-Mart to me is the one where a homeless panhandler murdered somebody with a baseball bat a few years ago. So I don't like to go there to begin with. It's obvious the manager and workers figure "it's Wal-Mart, who cares if it's a pig sty." So it's even more of a pig sty than most others.
Anyway: had to pick up some grocery items. As usual, out of 30 (!) checkstands, five are open and all have lines. But at least there's the '15 items or less' checkstand. I get in, third in line. In front: lady who's just checking out. No prob there. Ahead of me: 400-pound big white guy who seems half-retarded. He's easily got 25 items, but hey, it's Wal-Mart. As long as he's fast I don't care.
So what does this genius decide to do? (1) Puts up a SINGLE item on the checkout table. (2) run through his 30 newspaper ads to see if he can find the item. If he can, Wal-Mart has to match the price or offer a lower one. Repeat for the first SIX or so of his items.
So after about 10 minutes, including at least one manager passing by, seeing all this and REFUSING to open another checkstand, and about eight other shoppers lined up behind me, I finally (stupidly) acted up. I said, calmly but so people could hear, "sir, could you please hurry up a bit? There's a lot of folks waiting behind you." Well naturally, he immediately threw a huge tantrum. "I know! I can't read okay?? Let me finish!!!" Figuring I'd be thrown out if I took it any further anyway, I just threw down the six items that I had and left.
Since then, and even though this Wal-Mart is by far the closest to me, I refuse to shop there. I go to a nicer one that's down the street in Long Beach instead.

For instance, a male pedophile might actually be straight. But if one can find a boy who's significantly pre-puberty and feminine-looking enough, their imagination can take it away from there.
I imagine this was especially true back in the 1970s/early 1980s, when a lot of even very young boys had long hair.

I know several girls who were molested by priests. And cops. And teachers. All straight males.
Now Alex, I agree that there are some very perverted and extremely predatory gay guys ( just like straight guys) and I think Hollywood is full of them. Disney, especially, but Hollywood is a sick fucking place.
I don't deny that heterosexuals have the same issues. That's part of the reason that we're so cynical about letting homosexuals become scoutmasters. As a society, we've long adopted a certain suspicion of any straight male who wants to hang around with young girls. All we're doing is assuming that homosexual men are no different than straight men, and adjusting our cautiousness accordingly.
Some of the statistics for sexual assault in public schools are frightening. My theory is as follows:
a) Roman Polanski was partially right: we are attracted to 14 year olds. I think that humans are hard wired for young, physically mature, mates.
b) I think that a lot more sex goes on than anyone cares to admit. I posted a theory about a month or two back about how I suspect that in the 50s, a lot of young men lost their virginity to housewives in the neighborhood, and usually with mom and dad's tacit approval. After all, Johnny banging the widow Smith or his English teacher, Miss Johnson, is probably a little safer for everyone than banging 15 year old Mary Jane Rottencrotch next door.
Nowadays, with the rise of social media and cell phones, clandestine communication is much easier, and the social boundaries between adults and teenagers are reduced. This creates increased tension, and a perception of connection that may or may not be true. Combine that with twenty-somethings increasingly single until their thirties, and you have a recipe for problems.
Posted by: Colorado Alex at May 30, 2013 08:22 PM (lr3d7)
Logic flaw: A random sampling of heterosexual men is not the same population as say the group of heterosexual men who would want to lead a Girl Scout troop and take them out camping. In fact I'm pretty sure the Girl Scouts already prohibit this. Because they're haterz and all.

Back when the Catholic priest difficulties arose, GLAD et al were all over the news organizations to refer to the perps as 'pedophiles', rather than 'homosexuals'. It worked. By definition (or it used to be) a pedophile is engaged with pre-pubescent children. The idea was to deflect from the fact that these guys were/are in fact homosexual predators, preying on post-pubescent young men. As I say, it worked...., now they are reported as 'pedophiles'. It is a deflection.
Posted by: Mike Hammer at May 31, 2013 12:01 AM (aDwsi)
Exactly. The correct term is "pederast": an adult man who prefers pubescent boys. Posted by: rickl
===
Another thing I picked up during the Virtus training (the Catholic anti-pederast stuff you have to do now) is the high number of other kids (ie: older teens, being the predator). That is what really disturbs me about the BSA decision, the BSA does allow older scout to have responsible roles - now what, will they require two?

---------------
Actually, I kind of doubt that. I'm not saying that there aren't any, just that I've never heard of one. I believe that the Ghey organizations redefined 'pedophile' to distract from the fact that homosexual predators prey on young men. Let's put it this way..., if an adult male engages in sex with a 13 year-old post-pubescent girl, consensual or not, it is rape. The guy's not a pedophile, he's just a low-moral, self-indulgent shit. The same is true of homosexuals and young men/boys. The 'pedophile' thing suggests that it is a pathology (which pedophilia is), rather than a modus operandi. It follows that it isn't a 'normal' practice of the group in question..., and yet, it is. The priests were *not* a collective case of a pathology, they were simply the male-on-male version of the above described self-indulgent shits. The ghey 'community' doesn't want it to be realized that homosexual predators are not uncommon, and thus spin the 'pedophile' myth.

Teen Driver Who Died with 4 Others on Jamboree Road Had No Valid License: Update
ORIGINAL POST, MAY 28, 9:06 A.M.: Five teens from Irvine--two males and three females--died late Monday afternoon when their Infiniti slammed into a tree, sliced in two and turned into a fireball on Jamboree Road near Island Lagoon in Newport Beach.
That's less than a mile from Jamboree Road and Camelback, where TapouT co-founder Mask Lewis died in a fiery hit-and-run crash in 2009.
The stretch of road had been closed for 10 hours before reopening in both directions around 3:50 this morning. The crash occurred in the southbound Jamboree lanes, where the posted speed limit is 55 mph, just north of Island Lagoon. For reasons unknown, the Infiniti left the roadway and jumped onto the center divider, smashed into the tree and caught on fire.
Four of the teens were ejected from the vehicle, and the fifth was partially ejected, according to Newport Beach Police spokeswoman Kathy Lowe. Four died at the scene and the fifth was taken to Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo and later pronounced dead.
Identities have not yet been released.
Much of the closure time was spent picking up debris that was strewn over a quarter-mile.
Around 1 a.m. on March 11, 2009, Jeffrey David Kirby of Costa Mesa was speeding in his 1977 Porsche with a 32-year-old female passenger, Lynn Marie Nabozny, alongside a 2004 Ferrari driven by 45-year-old Charles David "Mask" Lewis, Jr., on Jamboree Road, where Kirby lost control and crashed into the Ferrari. Lewis' vehicle smashed into a cement light pole and was torn in half. Kirby, who swerved and came to a stop on Jamboree Road for several seconds before accelerating and leaving the scene.
Lewis died but though his girlfriend Lacy White was ejected from the Ferrari, she only suffered a broken elbow.
Kirby, whose blood-alcohol level was above .13 at the time of the crash, was sentenced in December 2010 to nine years in prison for vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence, causing gross bodily injury and having a previous drunk-driving conviction.
During daylight hours on March 11 every year since, Lewis' sister C.D. "Kaya" Lewis stands alongside that stretch of Dead Man's Curve holding a sign warning drivers not to drink and drive.
The investigation continues to determine if alcohol or unsafe speeds played a role in the latest fatalities.
UPDATE NO. 1, MAY 28, 3:38 A.M.: The teens killed on Jamboree Road have been identified by the Orange County Sheriff's Department as:
Driver Abdulrahman M. Alyahyan, 17, a 12th grader at University High School
Passenger Nozad Al Hamawendi, 17, an 11th grader at Irvine High School
Passenger Cecilia D. Zamora 17, an 11th grader at Irvine High
Passenger Aurora C. Cabrera, 16, a 10th grader at Irvine High
Passenger Robin A. Cabrera, 17, a 12th grader at Irvine High
"We do believe excessive speed was a factor in the collision,'' Kathy Lowe, the Newport Beach Police Department spokeswoman, earlier told City News Service.
She adds in an email to the Weekly this afternoon that the investigation continues and requests anyone with information to contact Traffic Investigator Scott Grecco at 949.644.3747 or email sgrecco@nbpd.org.
UPDATE NO. 2, MAY 29, 2:18 P.M.: Driver Abdulrahman M. Alyahyan, 17, did not have a valid California driver's license and was cited in April for violating his provisional license, according to City News Service.
The Department of Motor Vehicles was waiting on proof of his legal status as Alyahyan emigrated from Saudi Arabia about four years ago with his mother, two brothers and a sister, the news service adds.
Autopsies of the youths were expected to be done Thursday, according to Jim Amormino, the Orange County Sheriff's Department spokesman.
As for youths left behind, grief counselors were deployed today to Irvine and University high schools.
Their mission is twofold, one is to seek out students hit particularly hard by the tragedy ... and establish a place to go for students who want somewhere to talk," Ian Hanigan, an Irvine Unified School District, tells the news service.
Irvine High Principal Monica Colunga is quoted as saying Robin A. Cabrera, one of the 17-year-old victims, was an office aide who recently showed up for work with her hair dyed red. "I was going to give her a hard time about it not being green"--the school color--Colunga said.
The principal described Robin and her sister Aurora C. Cabrera, a 16-year-old who perished in the crash, as "very friendly and happy." They had attended the school for about a year.
"From the very get-go they both embraced and were embraced as part of our Irvine High School culture," Colunga added. "They were popular, happy-go-lucky girls."
The Cabrera sisters and 17-year-old victim Cecilia D. "Ce Ce" Zamora shared a passion for the school's dance program, Colunga said. "They were OK," the principal said of the girls' dance moves. "They were not in the advanced group, but they definitely enjoyed be part of the dance team. They enjoyed expressing themselves through dance."
Colunga described Zamora as "pretty much part of that circle ... but Robin and Aurora were a little bit more advanced," adding that Ce Ce was also in the girls' chorus.
The principal recently met the final victim, Nozad Al Hamawendi, 17. "He was very, very personable," Colunga said. "A very respectful young man who was into soccer. He had a passion for soccer and cars."
Her students are reportedly organizing a candlelight vigil this evening that will happen about the same time as the school's annual SPUR Awards ceremony, which honors students who live up to the school's motto of upholding "integrity, honoring self and others and taking and social responsibility."
"They were most certainly good kids,'' the principal concluded of the victims. "Any time there's a loss of a young person it's devastating ... but when it's in your home it's really, really huge."

story about Benghazi from The Canada Free Press
The immediate concern for the Obama-Clinton regime after the attack in Benghazi was to cover up the connection with Iran and Syria to Ansar al Sharia and Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), according to my Benghazi whistleblower source. The attack in Benghazi that killed four Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens, was not a terrorist attack; it was a nation-state attack, an escalation of war, and an opening of a new front in the tit for tat conflict with Iran and by extension their proxy partner Russia that is now being fought in Syria
.................
Meanwhile shortly after the Benghazi attacks reports of secret meetings with Obama’s chief advisor, Valerie Jarrett, with representatives of supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Qatar regarding Iran’s nuclear weapons program that had been going on before the Benghazi attack began to widely surface. The Obama administration wanted to announce a breakthrough agreement in Iran’s nuclear standoff—a diplomatic victory to ensure his reelection. While the Obama administration denied these reports, my source confirmed they are true. “The Iranians played them.”
Because the attack in Benghazi was a nation-state attack, with the 2012 elections coming up the Obama-Clinton regime did not want American voters to know that thanks to their under-handed policies of gunrunning into Syria to overthrow Assad with the Saudis that America was in a proxy war with Iran, and by extension their proxy partner Russia. Do you think American voters would have re-elected President Obama had they known that America is about to be pulled into another major conflict?
the rest of the article is written in a breathless kind of Pamela Geller style. Interesting though, and explains a lot.
He did not talk to his other cabinet members because he was being advised by the Rat that night.

There is a music store I go to every once in a while if I'm in the area. There was this dude there who taught guitar. Older dude, maybe early-mid 60's. Every time I grab a guitar and play he asks if I ever thought about teaching. I told him a few times I don't read music fluently, and even though I can literally play with any metal band on the planet, it isn't fair to teach kids without having a serious background in theory, because not all kids would be a natural and will need the studies. I declined a few times.
Well, I just found out a week or so ago that this fuck just got busted for spanking the young girls if they did something wrong. He was getting off on it. Literally spanking
My first thought was he's lucky I didn't take that job, I would have found out what he was doing and would have beat him with heaviest guitar in the store. Then I thought I can't believe nobody in the store knew wtf was going on.

The Left seems to have a weird obsession with the idea that biology = morality. Much of human history has been about rejecting that idea, about developing laws and traditions in order to transcend basic biology in order to protect society.
For example, I have to laugh every time I hear someone say, "Oh, I'm not cut out for monogamy!" Very few people are. That's why monogamy is superior to polygamy: it's an unnatural institution that we developed because the natural human instinct to cheat or to seek out the highest status mate leads to conflict and suffering.
Age of consent laws aren't developed based on physical fertility, but on our perception of when a child is mentally and emotionally developed enough that they can enter into a sexual relationship with some measure of equality and judgment.

Back in the 1970s, the rationale for lowering the voting age to 18 was, "If an 18 year old can be drafted to fight and die for his country, then why can't he vote?"
Because the skills necessary to fight in battle are not the same ones necessary to ensure the survival of the tribe and evaluate hard decisions.
If you are going to enjoy the blessings of this society, then you should be expected to join in its defense when necessary. However, this does not mean that you automatically have the wisdom or experience necessary to give valuable input into the decision making process.

And playful wrestling couldn't be enough....there had to be BDSM. And it couldn't be quiet enjoyment of a peer group -- despoiling innocence gave it an extra "tang". They weren't involved in the sensual at all, they were constantly play-acting for the cause of overthrowing the regime.

There's logic to that, but also consider that this country started off as a revolt against "no taxation without representation". The draft is basically a tax on an individual's life - I'd say the principle of letting those who fight, vote, is worth keeping.
Those who didn't fight getting to vote, not so much. Especially now when they're often overeducated idiots with little economic knowledge and vulnerable to hollow promises from politicians.

well well well, story just put up by WaPo about the pillowtalk meeting Holder had with the press off the record
from WaPo
HolderÂ’s commitment came at a private meeting with news executives after criticism that the Justice Department had infringed on the news media in several high-profile leak investigations. Participants said he told them officials would revise guidelines for issuing subpoenas to obtain reportersÂ’ phone records.
The 90-minute meeting was attended by a small group of journalists after several news organizations objected to the Justice DepartmentÂ’s insistence that it be held off the record. The participants, however, reached an agreement with the Justice Department under which they could describe what occurred during the meeting in general terms. The Justice Department is expected to meet with other news organizations and media lawyers in coming days.

My ideal solution is to eliminate all welfare and simple give everyone a guaranteed income of, say, $20,000 per year. At the same time, voting in any one year is contingent upon paying a voter registration fee for that year of... $20,000.

Current and former Justice Department officials said ThursdayÂ’s meeting was held off the record to allow for a candid conversation.
“It’s a policy meeting. If you put it on the record, it would become a press conference, and I’ve never seen a press conference that’s a good forum for making policy,” said Matthew Miller, a former Holder aide who remains a close friend. “If it was on the record, all you would get is posturing from both sides, and that’s not useful for anyone.”

Back in High School, I was over visiting a friend at his condo and we were hangin' out by the pool, when this totally zaftig girl in a bikini walks in through the gate, puts her stuff down on a chair, and heads into the clubhouse. Seriously bodacious, and I had radar locked on, head swiveling, rangefinder clicking....and my friend says, in a quiet conversational tone, "nice, eh? She's fourteen."
I've got to say, we're talking at least four or five sigmas off the normal mean for 14-yo development.....but I wasn't about to look in that direction afterward. Now the NYT has a story. Turns out they treated those who went to the meeting as pool reporters for the rest.
Representatives from The Daily News of New York, The New Yorker, Politico, The Wall Street Journal and the Washington Post did attend, according to several participants. The group gathered in a conference room near the office of the deputy attorney general, James Cole, and met with him, Mr. Holder, and seven other officials. The meeting started after 5 p.m. and lasted more than an hour.

The current rule for calling log subpoenas says that prior notice and negotiations “shall be pursued in all cases” where a high-level official “determines that such negotiations would not pose a substantial threat to the integrity of the investigation.” It is ambiguous whether that means prior notification is the general presumption or the exception.
There are signs that the government has been lately interpreting the rule to avoid notifying journalists, including subpoenas for call logs of The A.P. and Fox News reporters that came to light this month. For example, the investigation into an The A.P. article about a foiled bomb plot in Yemen was public knowledge, and the records were held by a phone company, so it is not clear how advance notice to The A.P. could have posed a threat.
In an e-mail, a law enforcement official explained the reasons the department may have in general for declining to provide prior notice in terms of risks that would seemingly exist in nearly any leak investigation: “Through the negotiation process, the potential target (i.e., the leaker) could become aware of the investigation and destroy evidence; create a false narrative as an alibi; or otherwise obstruct the investigation. A public negotiation process could also lead to the dissemination of details of sensitive law enforcement tactics that
The Justice DepartmentÂ’s interpretation of the notice requirement is important in part because phone companies defer to it. In a letter this week to The Times, for example, a lawyer for Verizon declined to say whether the company had turned over calling records for Times reporters. He wrote that the company complied with Justice Department requests not to tell its customers when call logs have been subpoenaed

The gorilla in the room is encryption. Right now, emails, phone calls, and websites default to unencrypted....it would be totally fucking trivial to make 128-bit encryption the default -- just a plug-in to your browser, your phone, and your email client. For the Horde, there wouldn't have to be any formal registration if the plug-in were designed correctly -- the HQ would present in cleartext for a certain period of time, and give an encryption token to a savvy browser after a while. Once more time had passed, the token would be upgraded to "AoSHQ Platinum" and cleartext content would be filtered out.
Once everyone gets tired of the DoJ shit and turns encryption on by default, watch the would-be totalitarians really start to panic.

"Zaftig", literally, means "juicy" -- as in "apfelsaft" means "apple juice" in German. And, yes -- Yiddish and German aren't identical, but the similarities are pretty evident in this case.
There is a certain ironic use to label someone "zaftig" for fat, but it's a tad removed from the original figurative allusion.

...physically disconnect it from the fucking internet!
If you have remote locations that need to communicate with each other, use "callback" modems. Then a person trying to call into your system will fail because their phone number isn't in the authorized callback database.
With callback, you dial the server, which hangs up, and calls YOU back based on a list of authorized numbers. If you ain't in the list, you ain't getting called back.
To defeat callback schemes, it takes a physical meat world intrusion to add an unauthorized number, or someone has to splice into your copper lines. It ain't some sit at an internet cafe in Moscow kinda thing.
