7 The Failure of Multiculturalism The “youth” rioting that occurred in Sweden is proving that the Progressive utopia will be destroyed by the very same dreams of the broader Progressive movement: Open boarders, multiculturalism, and a generous welfare state. The drive for multiculturalism results in de facto segregation for Sweden’s immigrant population. Compounding this, the generous welfare state works against integration. The superficial claim for “diversity” and inclusion ultimately boils down to the “multi-culti” Swedes having an “us and them” attitude. Is it no wonder, then, that the immigrants don’t want to integrate? Yet the Swedish “multi-culti” advocates openly wonder why the people they treat as being culturally different… act culturally different and refuse to work, pat taxes, &.! When it comes to anything WW2 and Ike or Patton or MacArthur I fucking cry like a bitch. Can't help it. Obviously, the technology exists to fuck with voting machines. Any government and political party that will use all powers of government to solidify and increase its power is willing to fix elections. When the DOJ is utterly compromised, what's to stop this Administration from insuring that it has a House majority to work with in 2014? It learned its lesson in 2010, and now nothing will be left to chance.

50 The best part of Jonah Goldberg's piece IMHO is this paragraph: "As for the Democrats, which one, exactly, would have an easy time getting elected today? Forget about the repugnant sexual antics; John F. Kennedy was a foreign-policy hawk and tax-cutter. Jimmy Carter? A haughty, born-again Christian Southerner? Sure, heÂ’d sail through the Democratic primaries. Even Bill Clinton, despite his enormous popularity among Democrats today, probably couldnÂ’t get nominated if he ran as the Democrat he was in 1992." Time to throw that "Reagan couldn't get nominated in todays' GOP" canard back into the insincere, dishonest left's face.

What I would love to hear is..."Abolish Government Unions".

Because Unions are anti-consumer.

103 I bought a new car yesterday, a 2006 Mitsubishi A6M Endeavor. Nice SUV, only 66K miles. Strange story, I lucked out. I had originally agreed on a price towards the top of the Kelly Blue Book value, but it was a 1 owner car in really good shape, and I made them give me way too much in trade for my 13 year old beat to death Dodge Grand Caravan. I had a client to see so I said I would return tomorrow (today) to finish the paperwork. Went home and wife's friend wanted to know what we'd bought. Wife went to dealer page to grab a photo, and there was the SUV, advertised for 4,000 less than we had agreed on. Hmmm, say I, called my client to reschedule and went back to the dealer. I held up my iPad with their webpage showing and said "Well?". They started to flip out, pulled up the webpage, one looked at the other and said "That's a mistake". When they started to tell me that, I just pointed and said "That's cool, I'm sure the local news station doing a stand up right outside there with your sign in the background reporting on fraudulent ads won't hurt your business at all". I waited, managers talked to senior managers, but fairly quickly they came to me and said "We'll honor the price". They honored the price, and the trade, and were actually quite gracious about it (although I did see them firing the guy who had screwed up the web ad). Bottom line for me was I got the car for a net price of $6900. I'm pretty happy with it, although I did lose the We Owe for a cracked piece of trim. I can live with that.

I'm pretty sure it dates from Catholic Missionaries visiting previous unblessed islands, and discovering (no one ever says how) that the natives preferred, let us say, a more "animal-style" arrangement. Reform was applied, and out of that we got this term.

Here are two websites that tell the story of the 4 Niland brothers from N.Y. which formed the basic plot of "Saving Private Ryan."

Steven Ambrose briefly tells their story in two of his books, "D-Day" and "Band of Brothers", but he gets some facts wrong and made up the part where the Niland parents received telegrams, on the same day, about the death of three of their sons.

343 My mom would get up to milk the cows, then make a batch of bread, and make sure we got ready for school. Then she went to her business (beauty shop) and stand all day long doing the bluehairs' perms, cuts and styles. Then come home and make homemade dinner, work in the garden, and still had the wherewithal to have sex with dad. My bedroom was next-door. What a woman. She's 74 now and still rolls out the red carpet for every event, including Mother's Day. And has to wear compression stockings for the varicose veins from all that standing. I am pitiful compared to her. Oh, and she still has about ten brandy and waters every evening.

392 Thanks everyone, for the mom comments. Here's the kicker. She voted for Bamster twice! She's a bleeding heart, but her heart is good. She is just too, I don't know. She believes the BS about Republicans want mentally retarded people to fend for themselves, and children to go hungry. She is a depression kid, so I kinda get it. But she's conservative, and doesn't know, no matter what my dad, or sister, or I say. But she is awesome. And that was just the early part of my life! Later on, we moved to WA and she got a job at a fish farm, which is very physically difficult, (i know, because I did it, too, from age 16 to 23) and went to college so that she could advance in that field. Got injured there, falling off a catwalk, which hurt her legs even more, went back to work ASAP, and only retired a couple of years ago! Doesn't sound like an Obama voter, does it? Arrghhh!

468 I just saw the movie "Warm Bodies". *Almost* a Christian movie.

The world went under a zombie apocalypse. Some of the zombies have gone zombie-plus and are now entirely undead. The others are in a state where they could go either way. Zombies become human again if they rediscover love again.

The main character becomes human when he is baptised. I can't think of any other word for it.

But Jesus and the Cross are wholly absent from this film.

Perhaps it is a Mandaean movie?

And the punch line contained the phrase "wants to 'do away' with white people"' in regard to the news not knowing what to report. I cant even remember now. Never before, or since, have I experienced a whole text thread, from both phones, go missing. And I wanted to keep it, because hubby replied that that was the best text he had ever gotten. 561 So for all the stumbling and bumbling that Microsoft did and the rumor mongering, the game and online aspect of the upcoming Xbox One is a whole lot of nothing. It's Steam with the trade off of a unlimited offline mode to a 24 hour checksum that you can use a mobile authenticator for and you can transfer your game license to someone else. And they took the Sony route on used games, it's up to the publishers to have it or not.

Details, well the start is sharper and it lacks the citrusy finish that I like. So, while this might be a beer of choice for someone else it just ain't fer me. Shame, cause I'd really like to find a NC brewery that makes a pale ale that I like.

On the other hand, Red Oak Amber Lager is pretty good, too (locally brewed near Burlington).

On the way I schooled him on what not to do. "Dude, in that situation, you keep your mouth shut. Your car exploded and there is no way you can drive me home." I had to regroup and ask her out the next day.

From reading around, the DOJ/NSA monitoring scandals have become so layered that I think they are beginning to blur together.

First, there was the FoxNews/Rosen call logs.
Then, the AP call logs.
Next, the Verizon call logs.
Then, the call logs of virtually everybody.
Then, the tapping into the servers of Apple/Google/AOL/et al

(I might have the first two out of order ?)

Can't remember the examples that made me think that, but I am more sure of it now. Only bad thing is, it doesn't matter who is in office - it just keeps getting bigger - the spying, the intrusiveness, it is Chinese Water Torture. Yes, Obama is so much worse than Bush or Romney or McCain, but they wouldn't have reversed any of this madness. heck, Reagan would have done it too. The idiots in DC believe what their experts tell them, or want to harm the loyal opposition - it does not matter. They are all tyrants, with a smiley face figurehead at 1600 Pennsylvania. That's solid advice.  After going through about forty employees, though, I've received four phone-calls from employers seeking my opinion.  I've given three of them the "I'd hire her again, and she's polite, on-time and diligent."

The last one was late three times in one year, but "over-did" her job to make up for it.  I gave her the only "qualified" review of the four.  I gave her a '7-of-10', sort-of review because she told me about it EVERY TIME before I heard it from customers.

When I heard about it from the customers, they all said, "she was such a sweetheart",  ...no shit.  Almost all of them used those exact words.

I can't remember giving any of the idiots bad reviews, because this job is one of those minimum-wage "stepping stones", and the idiots don't list me because it is not in their best interest.

Like Puffy mentioned, "short-and-sweet, to-the-point" -is the best way to go.

887 #872

Not true. Most cruise ships have satellite internet and short term accounts on cellular wireless devices are readily available. They aren't well suited to online multiplayer but are fine for account verification.

There is much about it I like quite a lot. Complete account portability is a big win for me. I recently spent 9 days working in Las Vegas, a city whose primary attractions hold very little interest to me or are too costly. If my room in the Luxor included an Xbox One, all of my games and their saves would be just a login away. Likewise, because everything is account linked rather than specific machine linked, if I have the bulk of my stuff on a 2.5" USB 3.0 drive, I can plug it into any Xbox One, log in, and have even the largest games immediately ready to play, even if the only online link is very slow with high latency.

There are trade-offs for everything. But I feel this is generally an improvement. Nor would I hand the generation to Sony yet. They've yet to announce details on how they handle this stuff. If they displease publishers too much those companies may choose to support Microsoft and not Sony, making the choice for consumers a bit lopsided.

The vast majority of consumers being targeted by this product will simply attach it to their network and never give it another thought.

905 The optimum number of successful terrorist attacks is nonzero. They can win by tearing us down physically, littering the landscape with our torn bodies and infrastructure. They can win by tearing us down morally, turning us into a compliant obedient society, ready for the realization that submission is the highest good. Minimizing the total damage should be our strategic goal. At the same time we should be modifying their behavior with respect to us, vigorously and by all means necessary.

907 Does Hannah Minx ever do any videos where we see her entire figure?  She seems to exist only from the boobs on up.

908 Oh, and it looks to me like the arrangement of work week in 1965 was infinitely superior to the current one.

909 Analysis of the situation: Providence has apparently handed us a reset, because Lord knows the GOP wasn't going to. If the GOP now proceeds to fuck up things by passing immigration amesty, giving new breaths of life to those on the ropes, then abandon them. Period. A redefinition of the fight is needed, but not in the way idiots in the Senate propose. Have a little faith that things will turn out okay if we stick to principle.
