Notice how legalization happens up front while the enforcement is on the back-end with no milestones nor measurable objectives.

"Multiple triggers" - Legalization is immediate. DHS just has to write border "plan." The most any "triggers" can possibly do is delay green cards and citizenship.
"90% effectiveness" - If not reached, triggers only toothless commission

"Pay back taxes" - Only if already "assessed" by IRS (unlikely). Newly legalized may instead get refunds.

"Learn English" - Only need to sign up for English class.

"Clean record" - Allows two free misdemeanors. Additional misdemeanors (including assaults) can be waived by DHS.

No "public charge." Must earn 125% of poverty line - They're going to deport people who earn only 124% or less? Ha.

"Pay a fine" - Can be waived by DHS.

"Back of the line" - Get to wait out the line while living in the U.S (unlike suckers trying to come here legally).

Border fence - Leaves it up to DHS, which decided not to complete fence in first place.

"Comprehensive Southern Border Security Strategy" - Only has to be "substantially" operational-whatever that means, as defined by DHS-before green cards are issued. (Legalization has already happened, remember!)

"E-verify" employment checks - Replaces E-Verify with new system. Requires only that this system be "implemented" (30%? 70%? Who knows?). Subject to lawsuit. If still in court after 10 years, never mind!
Entry-exit system for visas - Has been required since 1996. DHS must only be "using" a system before green cards can be issued. (Using in 10% of airports? 50%? Again, who knows?)

I'm actually more open to some kind amnesty than many here but the one thing that will make me an enemy for life is lying to my face about what you're doing.

And it occurred to me that the day-to-day Andrew Dice Clay is probably a better person than most of his critics.

Reading a bit about Snowden, the leaker, and found something interesting. One of the first incidents he witnessed that caused to him rethink was watching some of our guys "recruit" a Swiss banker to give them secret banking info (just think about that). They befriended him under false pretenses and then took him out and got him drunk, real drunk. Then they got him to drive home, essentially forced him to drive home.

Meanwhile, they had arranged for the local cops to be there to pull him over and then arrest him for drunk driving. Then the offer was made, work for us and we make the charges disappear, otherwise you go to jail for drunk driving and your life is ruined forever.

Snowden decided the "good guys" don't do stuff like this. And I have to agree.

And finally what is really eye-opening is freakin' Hong Kong, now under control of the ChiComs is the only place (at least he could get to) that he considered safe from the long arm of his masters at the US govt. He was not safe anywhere in the so-called "free world".

Folks, time is short. There is not much time left to save this Republic, the Republic of Washington, Jefferson, and Madison and the boys.

We're seeing who are the true patriots and who are the corrupted now. Peter King, Grahamnesty, etc. can rot in hell.

After that, with the exception of Exit Wounds, it's been a steady, steep decline for Mr. Seagal. I tried to watch some movie of his with Steve Austin and it was a chore just to keep my eyes up; Austin did most of the physical stuff anyway.

To give Roger Ebert a bit of a pass, there was a lot of potential for Seagal right after Above the Law. Seagal's action scenes were more realistic and gritty and he looked great back in the day, before he ballooned and practiced more eating at Japanese buffets rather than practicing his Japanese martial arts. Under Siege really boosted him because the script was pretty good and Gary Busey and Tommy Lee Jones were great, over-the-top villains. But Seagal's worst enemy is his bloated ego, as evidenced by his vanity project "On Deadly Ground". Unlike Shatner being a bit sunk by his own vanity project in Star Trek 5, Seagal never really recovered from his own hubris.

167 Puter expert here. Family member accidentally installed Gogle Chrme last week on their Win7 machine... then uninstalled it. Ended up with a few headaches that seemed obviously due to it, so I know the uninstall left stuff behind.

I reinstalled it and then used something called "Revo Uninstaller" to remove the program -entirely-. Guess what? Computer is running noticeably faster... faster than it has in about six months. Perhaps just an astonishing coincidence. Who knows what Gogle's been depositing on that machine? Kinda scary in light of, well, you know.

Really they're both fine. Basically, the Plasma picture is supposed to be able to give you "deeper blacks," but its also more subject to glare than an LCD tv is. So I really think that is the biggest thing. Are you going to have the tv in a location where you can get a lot of glare?

Well if I bought one now the price would 50% higher no matter the calibre I selected. 40 I might but I bought mine just after they came out and only 9mm was available. And it has proven to be a sweet shooter with hardly any recoil. Reliable operation. And its all tweaked out the way I want it. I actually have a lot more respect for Dylan once I learned how hard he worked to refuse the crown the left wanted to plant on him as their #1 folk propagandist. In fact I could be quite wrong but I've had the distinct impression for a long time that he made his two country albums in the late 1960s-- John Wesley Harding and Nashville Skyline-- to drive that point home. Then as now, country music was/is a relatively safer haven for conservative people and philosophy.

And then there's a great story about an interviewer who, around 1967, was trying desperately to get Dylan to say something against the Vietnam War. Dylan got so sick of the gameplaying that he finally gasped at the reporter, "How do you know I'm against the war?" That finally got the idiot to drop the subject.

I was on a few cruises, and when I did the buffet breakfast I would make what I would call the bacon roof. I would grab some eggs, home fries, etc, and them cover the whole fucking thing with bacon from one end of the plate to the other. Easily an entire package, especially since I would do it twice. 457 From what I've read, John Fogerty is a cruel muthafucka. He basically set a pipe bomb under the band when he was a complete asshole about refusing to collaborate on the Mardi Gras album, which ended up being their last (and worst) album.

The feeding blocks are nearly 100% chalk and just dissolve into the water. Most fish can survive a few weeks without any food at all -- they're cold-blooded, like snakes, and just get slower.

Some years back, I got a bunch of automatic fish feeders with the idea I'd do a review for my local fish club....then got sent off on some wild adventure for work and never got around to it. Most of them are junk. Just keep your fish fat and happy and if you're gone for less than two weeks at a time, don't worry about it.

I'd be frantically scanning prior comments to see if someone nastily socked me or if there was something seriously wrong.

And that's part of the community thing. It doesn't mean we aren't sincere when we welcome people, it means that n00bs gotta soak up the context before they can tell whether "asswipe" is a term of endearment or horrible disaster.

No worries. We'll recover, and get stronger -- so that later and better hikes won't have such downsides.....which is part of the reason for having a "home base hike" in the first place.

We had a lovely hike in the Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina -- involving a number of stream crossings with nonexistent or "iffy" bridges, including one where I had to dissuade the BH from keeping near the bank or steadying herself against it due to a resident snake. ["OK, I want you to hold up a bit here....and move slowly into the middle of the stream....good....good....'cause the bank you were right next to has this snake sitting there....oh, hi!"]

I'm not an expert on the Tour de France, but I've been a tax accountant. When the law is written "we don't want you to do X, as measured by Y -- so if you don't pass Y you can't do Z" this simplifies as "pass Y, do Z". You may seek any advantage permitted within the rules to accomplish your goals.

First cut, he should keep his titles.....but I readily admit to this being quite low on my give-a-shit-o-meter and I can't see investing more time figuring it out.

Movie was filmed outside Belgrade where they built a small concentration camp. To keep the locals from freaking out large billboards were erected stating it was a movie set.

Like I said, I'm a tax accountant. There's a tremendous difference between tax avoidance and tax evasion, despite you not paying taxes either way.

If "DOPING" is performance-enhancement, then it includes practice and training. To distinguish this, the authorities have said "we'll BLOOD TEST repeatedly. I wasn't there, I didn't do the deal -- frankly, I'm not that invested in either side.

I know it's setting a high-bar here, but you need to convince me that (a) I should care enough to read further; (b) Armstrong's deal with the relevant authorities specifically forbade whatever the hell he did; (c) I should care enough to read further; (d) he did, in fact, specifically do the things he was specifically forbidden to do; (e) I should care enough to read further; (f) there is sufficient evidence to prove this; and (g) I should care.

It may come as some surprise that I don't see a lot of movies just because they tend to upset me. With a nic like Cthulhu, you could probably guess that I've read a bit of horror, but I actually go out of my way to avoid seeing any. I look at it simply -- if the Santa Monica killer bursts into the room I'm in, I will have primal (and unspoiled) "fight or fright." Everyone else in the room will have a media-dulled "what happens next?" reaction.....which is better?

558 Just looking back at some of the comments - Kapo is one of the most honest and unvarnished movies about the death camps ever made - that's exactly what makes it so hard to watch. THAT'S why it makes you feel so horror struck and sick to watch it, because those were places that should invoke that reaction in any person with a soul. A movie like Schindler's List is much more rewarded because it sugar coats the horror and tacks on a "happy ending". But that was a tiny, tiny part of what actually happened. Kapo is probably the most honest film about those places ever made. There was no happy ending for almost all of those who actually went there - it was pure horror, even for those who survived. And Kapo shows that. You should steel yourself to watch it so that you know what the truly evil things in this world look like. Why? Because it will be easier for you to recognize them when you see them in the real world - and you will, someday. And yes, when you see real evil, it should make you sick to your stomach. For those unfamiliar, "Kapo" refers to a jew (in this case, a girl, but it could have been any of them) who chooses to extend her own life by working for the killers and helping them to organize and send her fellow jews to the gas chambers. Kind of thing that George Soros did as a boy. notice that TCM *only* shows Kapo in the middle of the night, if at all. People are too scared of it for it to be shown at any other time. Funny how people love to flock to watch "fake" horror - but you can tell the real thing by how it terrifies people too much to even speak of it.
