Patriots Sign Tim Tebow
— Ace

He'll be in minicamp tomorrow.

Belichick was recently quoted as saying he "hates" Tebow, as a player I imagine, but he denied he said such a thing. Signing him seems to prove he was misquoted.

12 "Glee" star Jane Lynch is divorcing her wife of three years.

Lynch married Dr. Lara Embry in 2010 in Massachusetts. She told People magazine in a statement Monday that splitting up was "a difficult decision for us as we care very deeply about one another."

Lynch asked for privacy for the family, which includes Embry's daughter.

The 52-year-old actress met Embry, a 44-year-old clinical psychologist, in 2009 and they wed on Memorial Day in 2010.

So much has been    said about his throwing mechanics,  folks forget  what a bruising runner he  can be. IIRC, he racked up a lot of rushing yardage in his last year at Florida.

I wouldn't know good passing mechanics if I had a computer break-down. I do know that he was winning games. I also know that he throws well enough that you have to be concerned, and runs well enough that you should be afraid.

Quick rundown of his   throwing "fault":   he'll raise the ball up from his side (around his waist) instead   of holding the ball   closer to his shoulder or chest. The extra distance means a nanosecond or two of extra time, which in the NFL is  enough  to get sacked.

IMO, it's nitpicking, the guy is a great quarterback and all around nice guy. I  know someone who's  a  friend of the Tebow family and she says he's the real deal. That's good enough for me.

I don't understand all the Tebow h8. I mean,  I do, but I don't. I can't find anything wrong with  the kid.  As a role model,  you could do a lot worse.

186 "So much has been said about his throwing mechanics, folks forget what a bruising runner he can be."

There was a comment to the effect that while the Jets were stupidly wasting his talents, Tebow spent every free hour of his personal time working diligently with outside throwing coaches. They apparently figured out pretty quickly what he had to improve mechanics-wise, and he practiced that until he had it completely mastered.

Guy has a work ethic. A serious, tough, demanding work ethic. That counts for a lot.

If Tebow succeeds in the Pats system, and I suspect he may do so, the respective managements of the Broncos and Jets are going to look awfully stupid.

214 165. No, we don't. I am not a Tim Tebow apologist, but I have yet to see anything that he has done wrong. I do agree that he is not the typical NFL QB but I assume any NFLteam that considers him has enough brains to know his strengths and weaknesses. What is pretty clear from the teams he has been a member of, is that he is a good teammate. He shows up, he practices hard, he does not complain, etc. there are no coaches that have complained about him from that aspect.

tebow's problem is he never was forced to develop the ability to throw accurately in high school and college b/c he was so athletic but you can't get away with that in nfl against nfl speed.

he's kind of like the big guys in the nba who can't shoot at all.  they never were forced to get good at it cuz they could just use their height and size to score at the rim.

I hate Belichick with the heat of a billion supernovas but this is a brilliant move on his part.  He loves to get guys that the geniuses in the league, the ones who valued Ryan Leaf highly while HOF Kurt Warner was bagging groceries, take a powder on and then figure out a way to use them to kick their pansy asses.  Like the idiots on the Browns who will go with borderline retard Brandon Weeden and Jason Candle backing him up at QB; that should work well.

From experience with international speech contests (speech club), winners are those who are able to "make people cry". And to be fair, it'd be really boring to hear someone talk about how awesome and uneventful their life is.

If beauty is more than skin deep, does not physical defect bring it out all the more?

But...to be fair, it seems like *all* the contestants should have some sort of feature that would "make people cry".

484 Tebow is athletic and could hold value as a footballer, but not at quarterback. BilBel must have some basis for thinking Tebow's sufficiently chastened by his recent experiences in Denver and NY to be open to switching to some other role.

488 "pantsuit aficionado, dog owner"

I thought their dog was run over?

Posted by: Jane D'oh at June 10, 2013 06:50 PM (lVPtV)

It was.  Buddy, named after one of Slick's white trash kin, was only a prop to those fucking lowlife grifters.  Clenis deserves to be whipped like a mule for not taking the time to watch that dog instead of letting it run in traffic; you'd think he'd spend some money on somebody who could watch it like he does that borderline retarded daughter of his, who couldn't even be trusted to watch over Socks once the poor cat's usefulness was done and Rodham had somebody else write a horseshit book about the letters the cat got as if they cared about it.  Betty Currie ended up caring for Socks who lived a long life before developing cancer.

You can tell the quality of people by the way they care for their pets and the Clintoons were, of course, found wanting.

492 Speaking of Patriots, Glen Beck and just now, Dr. Michael Savage, are calling Snowden a Patriot.

493 Guys, just watch the Redskins.  Robert Griffin can be exciting AND throw a football unlike Tebow.

(Of course, us Skins fans are going to have a heart attack everytime he takes the slightest hit, so that could be entertaining too.)

494 354 Anybody having problems getting fox news on the net? I can't connect for some reason. Hate to think it's Firefox.

No, it's us.

LOL glad to see you are coming clean.  Although it is more fun speculating.  We used to blame bad stuff on our dog, but now you are the default.  So, in light of that, please stop farting and close the cabinet doors when you plate up your stolen brownies.
