— Ace We can only hope.
There were many horrors made yesterday, but among the worst was that done to this family.
This was the eight year old boy murdered:

His entire family was decimated by the bomb. I'll refer you to the link above; I don't want to quote it.
Let me clean up a few incorrect claims I transmitted yesterday. As you all know by now, the NYPost's reporting of "at least 12 dead" seems wrong. Perhaps they were estimating that the large number of amputees either were dead or would soon be dead. 2 confirmed deaths + 10 amputations = 12.
But even so, it was wrong at the time, and many of the victims of maiming will live. The death toll will undoubtedly still rise but as of now it's two.
Also, it's not true that the feds shut down the cell phone system to stop the system from being used to detonate additional bombs.
In case you missed the earlier mention, that Saudi national who is (was?) a person of interest is looking less interesting.
[O]n Tuesday morning, one law enforcement official said investigators had determined that the man, who was injured in the blast and was questioned at the hospital, was not involved in the attack.

I would not be too sure of that. There is a federal death penalty for use of bomb to kill people.

The United States federal government (in comparison to the separate states) applies the death penalty for certain crimes: treason, espionage, federal murder, large scale drug trafficking and attempting to kill a witness, juror, or court officer in certain cases.
if the feds charge him, he could get the death penalty

>>>Know what really sucks? If we catch whoever did this, they won't get the death penalty. We'll be on the hook for their care in the prison system for the rest of their lives.
I hear you. It is a sick and twisted reflection on how far we've sunk, that many will fight tooth and nail against the death penalty for cold blooded killers, while turning a blind eye to the infamy commited by Gosnell. I literally don't recognize my country anymore.

I'm thinking we should have the jars of baby feet from Gosnell's abattoir delivered to TFG, since he is so fond of killing babies and all. He could use a quick dose of reality.
And then impeach his lying bony ass right out of office.

Many prayers said for this family and all of the victims and the medical staff and police who gave aid. And for our country.
I was thinking today, that since 9/11, my sons and others do not know the freedoms we once had, the lack of fear or naivete. Whatever it was, it is gone. We may as well be living in Ireland during the IRA bombings, or in Israel. Even with the other bombings, other than the Weathermen and riots due to politics and war, that violence did not invade non-political gatherings. We will always be looking over our shoulders or for suspicious "youth." Damn them.
I blame radical Islamic terrorism, myself.

--I hope that some Israeli trauma doctors are offering their expertise. I have heard that the Koranimal bombers there often "enhance" their bombs with rat poison to make it easier for their victims to bleed out. Pure evil. I hope that did not happen yesterday.

It wasn't "botched."
First, there's no easier job in the world than getting convictions in American courts. It's this close to impossible to fuck up. Our conviction rate is like a Saddam electoral victory. Barring massive/intentional failure, whoever goes to trial goes down. Prosecutors don't even need evidence. They just need to point at a guy and say "him."
The Ayers prosecution was dropped. All the Weather cases were.
Only the Felt/Miller case wasn't...and RICHARD M.F. NIXON came out of retirement to testify for their defense.
"On purpose" greatly understates what happened.
Very greatly.
Do you not get who these people are? One of them chose our president.

"She cannot talk now but can communicate with pen and paper," the consulate said in an e-mailed statement earlier Tuesday.
In that earlier statement, the consulate said another Chinese student, identified by the consultate as Ms. Lv Lingzi, was missing. Her name has also been rendered as Lingzi Lu. No further information was available."

Very sad but very proud to be an American.
