6 I just took a little stroll through the comments on a HufPo piece about the Barkey's "Do Over" on Obamacare. Yeah, I know. Glutton. Punishment. Those people are fucking crazy. Comments fall into 4 categories: 1) Website is fixable, so, no big deal!! 2) Rethuglicans have no plan, so, Shut Up!! 3) Obamacare is here to stay!!! (yeah, they use LOTS of extra punctuation. They believe it makes their point more lucid.) 4) This makes no sense to me: "Obamacare is fucked up because of Republican "cuts". Was I sleeping when the Republicans made ANY cuts to Ocare funding? This whole thing is a pure D fuckup. From start to finish.

8 Did anyone watch FNC last night? Kelly and Hannity both did show on how millenials are screwed (by Obamacare among other things).

I bring it up because the most eager right winger in Hannity's audience was Juan William's son.

I bet he brought up Obamacare at Thanksgiving dinner.

12 Eight people are now confirmed to have died after a police helicopter crashed into a busy pub in Glasgow city centre.

Three people inside the helicopter and five people inside The Clutha were killed after the Police Scotland aircraft came down at 22:30 on Friday.

A further 14 people are being treated for "very serious injuries" in hospitals across the city.

13 Argentina in 1966 was a "first-world" country. Socialism destroyed it. My wife spent six long weeks there 2 summer's ago. It IS destroyed, too. The roads/infrastructure are in a shambles. The postal system is so corrupt, no one can send anything, anywhere. Packs of wild dogs roam everywhere. Their monetary policy is so messed up, the black market/barter economy is probably more robust than the "official" economy. The government lies and cooks data at their whim. Hey...this is starting to sound AWFULLY familiar.

"Mr Putin, be on time next time," fumed a Korea Times headline.

But the liberal Russian website Slon.ru points out the Koreans need not be upset. Being only half an hour late is a "mark of the deepest respect" from Putin.

20 9 One of my closest colleagues is from Argentina. His family immigrated from Croatia to Argentina in 1939 when Oscar was a baby. His family opposed Peron and Peron had his father, mother and siblings murdered in 1955. Oscar was away at trade school so they missed him but he still had a death mark. He hid from the authorities and when Peron was overthrown he escaped to Mexico by ship.

They know how it's done, in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida. That's all it would take. Three states to restore constitutional governance.

22 An Ocean Beach man is facing a felony charge and three years behind bars Â— for trimming some shrubbery.

The San Diego County District AttorneyÂ’s Office is prosecuting Juvencio Adame, known locally as Vince, for Â“defacement, damage and destructionÂ” in excess of $400 or more after he pruned the shrubbery near his home in July, court records show.

The shrubbery in this case was on city land that abuts property that he owns on Niagara Avenue along a popular surfing area in Ocean Beach. Adame told neighbors he did so because the overgrown shrubbery became a haven for homeless people to sleep and litter.

30 One of the oddest stories my wife brought back from Argentina: If a family, w/children, squats on your unoccupied property, you can NOT evict them. There is a shitload of unoccupied properties, because the housing market is completely stagnant, so there is a cottage industry of guarding properties against squatters. More jobs created via Socialism.
