Woman Nearly Passed Out At Obama Press Conference
— Pixy Misa

I think she just saw her new premium.

Oh and about the people standing behind Obama today, only three of them have successfully registered for new Obamacare exchanges.

The three people who were able to register included: Janice Baker, who introduced the president and as of last week was the only person to have successfully enrolled in health care coverage through Delaware’s state exchange; David Hall, an IT consultant who signed up for health care through the DC Health Link; and Zohre Abolfazli, who was able to register through healthcare.gov last night and still needs to shop for her “best plan.”

Honestly, if you want some quick fame but don't want to have to stare at Anthony Weiner's pitiful package to get it, all you have to do is lie and say you signed up for Obamacare. You'll be an instant celebrity, and you don't have to worry about anyone checking your story because the MFM is so fucking desperate for an actual, honest-to-goodness success story.

...Okay, hang on.   She was able to register "last night?"   Did she not know ahead of time that she was going to be onstage with the Preezy as one of    his success stories?   Don't you usually need more than twelve hours notice before finding out you're going to be a prop for a Presidential speech?

And even if that was completely reasonable,    can anyone explain to me how   Ms. Zohre "Success Story" Abolfazli could justify being onstage as an   Obamacare    success    stooge when    the only  success she's actually encountered with the system is    the ability to    create a user account?   She hasn't even shopped for a plan yet!

She's perfectly in camera frame? During the campaign season so many women were fainting withing eyesight of Obama that he was regularly calling it out over the microphone. I believe some women would faint over his rock star status among lefties. Seriously, they were deeply in love with the idea of the man. I'm guessing she was locking her knees. When I was a young soldier in the 82nd Airborne Division, each year the entire division put on a Division Review, which basically consisted of all 17,000 paratroopers marching in formation, whereupon both the Division and spectators would be subjected to a usually very long-winded speech by some Washington dignitary. One year, Reagan's Secretary of the Army, John Marsh, spoke for over an hour in the hot North Carolina sun, with paratroopers spending most of that time in the position of attention. New guys who didn't know any better would lock their knees, which screwed with the circulation of blood to their brains, which in turn caused many in the ranks to faint dead away while holding rifles with fixed bayonets. Fun times.

I have an especially fond memory of the 82nd Airborne Division Review speech given by General James Gavin, former 82nd Division commander during WWII and possibly one of the greatest tactical field commanders of the 20th Century of any army. General Gavin's speech lasted approximately five minutes. We loved him for it.

Come on people!   If someone is about to faint, have them sit down, kneel down, lie down, anything rather than try to hold them up so that they can pitch over in an unprotected fall, smashing their face on the teleprompter and possibly getting blood on the sharply creased trouser leg of the President of the United States and leader of the free world, or worse, vomiting on his shoes.   Have you no decency?

Hits and registrations don't mean diddly squat. It's actual enrollment and sending in premium checks that counts.

131 New guys who didn't know any better would lock their knees, which screwed with the circulation of blood to their brains, which in turn caused many in the ranks to faint dead away while holding rifles with fixed bayonets. Fun times.

I saw it happen in an ROTC colour guard once.  The person holding the US flag did the same locking of the knees and fainted.  A quick thinking cadet ditched his rifle and grabbed the flag and took his place before the flag touched the ground.

Posted by: bonhomme[/i][/b] at October 21, 2013 09:21 AM (sByIH)

188 I brought this up as a case study from post below. I will be trying to determine: if this is son's former girlfriend who is nutty as a fruitcake, as she does sort of look like her; and or if there is a little shine of profuse sweat (or at least dew on her frozen and weird face). I think Julia could have done a better job rolling her eyes and collapsing against Baroque for more drama, maybe drooling on his shirt. Even better, projectile vomit!

Here is case study:

447 Julia was rather pale, so I will give her props for that. In my vast and knowledgeable experience and research of fainting (personally once with Salmonella), you may get some warning but you usually sit down or walk away, not weave and wobble. Did she break a sweat? That is also a truth-faint. A couple of times, post-op, you have a near black-out moment (warning: sit your butt down). And with Salmonella I had no warning until the face plant on carpet of bedroom. Surprise!

So, I am a skeptic of swaying people onstage, waiting for rescue by Baroque, so he can act like a caring leader. I assume, in her excitement to be onstage with her hero, she could have not eaten or locked her knees. Or his well-known halitosis caused a back draft of sewer odor and knocked her out.

One of my son's many, many college girlfriends "pretended" to faint with him a couple of times. Very dainty-like swoon, falling gracefully back onto couch one mid-day after studying for a test at our house. I was working in the ER when he called me, describing the event and his gallantly carrying her dainty self a la Rhett Butler and Scarlett O'Hara and driving her home tres quickly. I asked him, was she pale? No. Was she sweating profusely? No. Had she eaten (she appeared anorexic to me). Was she dizzy, etc? No.

Bless his heart, he said he was calling 9-1-/////when it's a miracle! She came to right before the last 1 was called for an ambulance (cordless phone made beepy noises with each number)! He gave her OJ, called a friend, and they drove her home as she also! refused to go to the doctor or ER as I advised (to r/o hypoglycemia, seizure or heart issues). Then! At MD office the next day, she pulled her swoon for bloodwork and my boy got a tad suspicious. Then! She followed him---almost stalking----to the university after this summer school college session. Moved two hours to be near him. And she came over to his apt and tried to pull the fainting thing again. Son told her to knock it off and get out of his apartment. The last I heard she was living in Peru. This fainting girl onstage may be her!. The End.

Stage a fainting.  Hell, make it as transparently fake as this one was.  You'll have a subset of people who will want to display their even-mindedness and say "well, it's *possible* she was really fainting."  You know, so they don't look partisan.

Then you'll have people who attack the disbelievers saying things like "how dare you doubt this woman.  War On Women!!!"

And then there are those who will deride the non-believers as conspiracy theorists.  Hey, how could he have the stones to fake something like this?  Things like that.

Even if you don't believe this was real, you'll be cowed into silence lest you be painted as some insensitive conspiracy monger.

Another thing about someone who is just about to pass out, sometimes there isn't any sweat.

I watched a bridesmaid buckle at a wedding in the islands, and she was sweating about a half hour prior to the event, but not when it happened.

224 A research paper that won a Hebrew University teachers' committee prize finds that the lack of IDF rapes of Palestinian women is designed to serve a political purpose.

The abstract of the paper, authored by doctoral candidate Tal Nitzan, notes that the paper shows that "the lack of organized military rape is an alternate way of realizing [particular] political goals."

The next sentence delineates the particular goals that are realized in this manner: "In the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, it can be seen that the lack of military rape merely strengthens the ethnic boundaries and clarifies the inter-ethnic differences - just as organized military rape would have done."

The paper further theorizes that Arab women in Judea and Samaria are not raped by IDF soldiers because the women are de-humanized in the soldiers' eyes.

Making a point as they do so that Sebelius had ample time to go talk to Jon Stewart on _The Daily Show_ about Obamacare, but refuses a request to come officially testify before a Constitutionally co-equal branch of government.

263 Everyone else thought he was goofing. I saw hime fall and make no attempt to protect his face. And he didn't move a muscle after he hit. Cue the call for paramedics. Turned out the genius had eaten almost nothing that day and was dehydrated.

One of my brothers did this, visiting me in college in Utah. He was not used to the elevation nor, uh, partying the night before. We were at the liquor store the next morning and he had not eaten. My then boyfriend (now husband) and I heard a nylon noise as brother's down coat rubbed against the car all the way down (he is 6'4"). All we saw were the tips of his boots against the curb and next to the car. We laughed as he is crazy and we thought he was being a clown, but then I realized he had fainted (but I still laughed, as we are all pretty warped). He was fine once he ate something, the big dummy. I have no idea if he had warning or not (sweating, black spots in eyes).

This chick with Baroque, however, could have easily gotten off stage. I mean, come on. I do not care if the ghost of Reagan was speaking I would get off if I was fixin' to make an ass of myself and faceplant.

267 Oh, and also, from the "if the GOP had any clue about political optics," why the fuck has the House not voted to hold Sebelius officially in contempt of Congress for her refusal to testify about Obamacare failures?

Making a point as they do so that Sebelius had ample time to go talk to Jon Stewart on _The Daily Show_ about Obamacare, but refuses a request to come officially testify before a Constitutionally co-equal branch of government.

They did it with Holder, albeit grudgingly and ineffectually. Time to do it again.

It's about power. Few are foolhardy enough to oppose those who control the means by which their lives are extended or saved. Viewed from a certain perspective, that alone is the best reason in the world and the only reason they need. Most kings, dictators and emperors throughout history could only dream of such power.

A government that controls healthcare and energy production controls everything. In my view, the single greatest reason for the creation and promotion of the Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) theory has been to furnish justification for the takeover and socialization of the private energy industry along command economy lines.

Yeah, I know: I sound like a tinfoil hat-wearing conspiracy theorist. In my defense, I follow the logic and the facts and go where they take me. This is where they've taken me.

339 And also the only reason that the records were reviewed was that the victim's mom got notice that  one of them  was being released and she  triggered the further research.   Otherwise ,  clear sailiing.

In that one, she looks as if she's about to blow chunks....

Funny, that's my reaction whenever I hear or see President Historic First©.

342 I have an especially fond memory of the 82nd Airborne Division Reviewspeech given by General James Gavin, former 82nd Division commander during WWII andpossibly one of the greatest tactical field commanders of the 20th Century of any army. General Gavin's speech lasted approximately five minutes. We loved him for it. 343 In my view, the single greatest reason for the creation and promotion of the Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) theory has been to furnish justification for the takeover and socialization of the private energy industry along command economy lines.

That's true, but it also serves the New Class's desire to stop seeing the vulgar uses to which the Middle Class puts energy.  Small-block Chevys, "Duck Dynasty", and Ace of Spades HQ?  It's enough to make a proper New Class member sniff dismissively before summoning his butler.

345 103 I'm guessing she was locking her knees. Fun times.

Troyriser, I was there for both of those in 2/325 "White Falcons." If you remember, what you were supposed to do was slowly take a knee and then work your way to the back of the formation, where the assembled 1SGs would give you holy hell for locking your knees and not being properly hydrated after the Division run that morning, for which we got up at oh-dark thirty to get the entire Division assembled on Ardennes Street. MG Gavin had done a few Division reviews in his life and he knew what the assembled thousands of troops were going through.

Had it been a Republican who said it it would have been reported for weeks and mocked on the comedy shows about how out of touch and naive someone has to be to make such a statement.

356 I did see the patch under Left arm, now that you mentioned it. Insulin pump? My friend has one but it is on her abdomen.

If she is an expert activist for this disease, and pregnant (which is high risk), you'd think she might think, "Hot sun, seeing my hero makes me swoony, maybe better eat and dial back insulin."

I do hope she is ok, but, wow. Not too smart if she knows the disease.

I read her little blog. She is a bleating sheep. I would like to know if her insulin pump is going to be covered if she needs a new one. They are not cheap....and this is what I "think" is the thing near her left upper arm.

I think if  you write a glowing letter or blog about the magic of unicorncare, you enter a lottery. The most nauseating comment wins a trip to DC with their precious and maybe even get to touch him. I watched again, and she weaves backwards at his touch ala Benny Hinn's miracle healing.
