Prayers for Maet's Father
— Ace

I referred vaguely to his "obligations" the other day because I didn't know if I should disclose the nature of them.

But his father is ill:

Oh I am. My father is gravely ill but it's looking like he may pull through.
I'm just here procrastinating from the other stuff I should be doing. :-)

So it looks better now. When people start procrastinating again, it's a good sign.

But send him a prayer if you've got some to spare.

48 Thank you for the prayers and thoughts everyone. This came on suddenly as these events are wont to do. He's been dealing with heart failure generally successfully for a few years now but took a sudden nose dive on Monday. We're hoping he can recover enough to get a Dick Cheney-type LVAD.

58 Guess what? EC Jr comes home from playing with his friends with a bandage on his arm. "What happened?!?!?!?" He and some friends were riding a gocart and his arm grazed the exhaust muffler and left a burn the size of a silver dollar. His friend was nice enough to swab it clean with antiseptic and dress it up before he came home. So, now I cleaned it up a second time and applied some of that silver burn ointment and changed the bandage again. And he's grounded. For life!
