"While the Marine Corps Uniform Board is currently looking for a new cover, or cap, for female Marines because the current manufacturer is going out of business, there is no intent to change the current male Marine dress cover.
A survey released by the Marine Corps Uniform Board eliciting input from Marines in regard to uniform items, sought opinions about the 'Dan Daly-style' cover.

"Pictures of male Marines wearing this cover were included in the survey material. This is standard practice while conducting surveys. Admittedly, there have been times when Marines have fought alongside the French, but they never seem to have enjoyed the experience much.

You couple that with the rest of King Putt's arrogant slights to the leathernecks (my favorite: singing out "Hello Camp Lejeune!" when arriving at Camp Pendleton) and a picture starts to emerge of a man who himself likely could never have gotten through Marine basic but who nevertheless never fails to rub the collective noses of the Corps in it whenever he can.

That said, I (and every dress-blues-wearing acquaintance I've ever had) think that US "wheelhouse" dress hats look Rooshin. I'd love to have the other services go to some version of the "crushed" WWII officer hat (I know, they weren't supposed to be crushed), and have the Marines reach back into their history for something a tad less imperial. 86 No Mr Accuracy, the union threw me off the jobsote middle of May because I wouldn't enter the apprenticeship program. It was gonna cost me 2K over the first year,,, for a $12/hr job. Of course they kept the worthless kids who couldn't pass the test and sucked as workers. BUT!!!!,,,, I start back in DOT materials & research on Monday. Yea!!!! Different lab which is good. Chemistry lab they call it but mainly asphalt emulsion testing I think. I was this || close to selling everything. Not a dime coming in since May and refused to file for govt help.
