Press Ignores Pat Smith
— Ace

You may not recognize the name.

There's a reason for that. That was the plan.

Quite simply, Cindy Sheehan — slamming the “illegal and immoral” war for “oil” and comparing Bush to Hitler — was Christmas morning, every morning, for the Left.

Pat Smith, on the other hand, seeks answers surrounding the Benghazi attack. She is therefore no Christmas present – rather, she is an inconvenience that must be brushed under the rug. Unlike Sheehan, who was used as a pawn to further the Left’s narrative, Smith’s quest presents a danger to the Obama Administration’s record and image.

Make no mistake: had Benghazi occurred under a Republican administration, the media would fawn over Smith with even greater adoration than that bestowed upon Sheehan. No network, no microphone, and no camera would be closed to her. But, as Benghazi is a horrific failure on the part of President Obama and then-Secretary of State Clinton, the media has gladly employed its role as guardian of the administration (who needs the Praetorian Guard of yesteryear when we have MSNBC?), ignoring the story, ignoring Smith, even ignoring its own instinctive draw and duty to explore a story where, in stark contrast to SheehanÂ’s, enormous mysteries and questions loom.

On the one hand, it's certain he'll get the Carter treatment as the "august and knowledgeable elder statesman" anytime he opens his mouth to meddle with current policy. But...what if he starts becoming an obnoxious embarrassment? I mean, yeah, he's already that now, but people did grow tired of all Clinton, all the time. And by the way, if I'm not mistaken, it was the Hillary campaign who raised both issues.  Don't think they won't do the same - and much worse - to the GOP nominee in 2016.

51 As the State Media refuses to tell the facts or even mention that an incident occurred and it's overall affect, ratchets the frustration of the people.

They are aching for the truth to be told and are beginning to understand where the block is and why.

Once the regular guy on the street sees what is happening, there will be a reaction. What that will be and how soon is anybody's guess.

It will not  be pleasant for those in the forefront of the State Media and those politicians who have played along with the coverup.

TV/Cable is already feeling the effects of bad programming, increased advertising and prices and the lack of trust of those outlets that use that media.

This is like a rubber band and once it reaches the end of it's stretchability, the reaction will be swift, sharp and painful.

They WILL pay.

94 Atkinson, in a just world, they would be in the competition for the pulitzer, however we live in a world in which  Orwell and Han Christian Andersen,
are used as textbook rather then warnings.

96 Ann Coulter polished Christie's Knob for, what, years now? Great insight. Enough said about Coulter whose main mission is to turn a phrase and write a book extrapolating upon it.

97 >>>I do not like Coulter.

I'm starting to not like her as well. Not so much because she supported Christie and Romney, but because she treated the rest of us who didn't (citing our reasons that we didn't think he could win) like F*king rubes and insult us at every corner. Then her boys go on to bungle in epic style and saddle us with another 4 years. And she's still got the gall to poke at US.

100 Coulter is a very good pundit. She is also unprincipled, homely, and mercenary. Let her be. Her and Krauthammer can share a bathtub.

101 #33 Obama came bearing hopelessness and divisiveness. At the same time he parities and shoves it in our faces while he destroys our lives. This generation thinks abortion is a right, and planned murder thinks that a living human separate from it's mother can be killed. If things don't change hipster d-bags will be giving us the purple pill in our dotage.

I believe that when it happens, and it apparently has no choice but to happen, there will be pitchforks and torches as well as machetes. The lamposts will sag with the burden of guilty and innocent alike. Like the old days, carrion will gorge upon the field of battle.

Seriously

105 The GOP needs to be cleaned out of its pussies, and there is a lot of them. When Bush was president the fucking ass licking left carried on like the election didn't mean shit. Their dude lost, they didn't like it,  fuck the fact that america had spoken, and they spent 8 years playing traitors to the war effort to try and bring him down. They prayed for defeat in iraq, they wanted us to lose. Now we got an honest to got anti american ass sucking muslim marxist in office, and instead of pushing the fuck into the engine intakes of AF1 they bend over backwards to kiss his ass.

Do you think a party full of people like Ted Cruz and Alan West would would put up with that shit? No? Then we have to create THAT fucking party. It will need people to be involved, really involved. Find the meanest pro American motherfucker you can and push his ass into office. One that will stand up to the media, use every dirty trick in the book, and ass fuck them with a flaming pineapple at every turn. Nothing less will do.

Coulter is good at one thing...bashing liberals.

Same with Krauthammer.

When they stray from that, they both reveal their elitist outlooks...which are as insufferable as the elitists on the Left.

111 The reason the media isn't following Pat Smith is because she isn't protesting outside of Obama's Chicago home. You know, the home they go visit from time to time to get away from it all. Oh wait, they are like the Clintons and only have other people's homes as their home away from the White House.

I knew we were in big trouble on 9/12/11 when these lies started in the US and the British press reported different stories of security failure.

May God help us.

121 Pleas for help were ignored that bloody night. Did the White House fear that a failed rescue mission would impact the upcoming election? Downplaying the terrorist element in the death of our ambassador would minimize the potential political damage.

So is this all about covering up the motive for a decision that put the election ahead of saving American lives and vigilance in the face of continuing Islamist terrorism?

The incident is still pushed under the rug to avoid the public backlash that would occur if the facts were known. Even worse, the Benghazi killers have never been brought to justice.

The issue needs to be laid on the table for all to see. If the Obama administration is not forthcoming with answers to the questions Congress has asked, subpoenas should be issued to compel testimony. And if there are contradictions found in previous testimony, then charges of perjury should be pursued.

This case is worse than Watergate. No one died as a result of those high level political shenanigans. This cover-up and stonewalling is about the terrorist murder of American heroes. The American public has a right to know the facts.

• Rep. Rohrbacher is chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Europe, Eurasia and Emerging Threats.

maybe it won't be dropped. Movie on Benghazi coming out in the fall.

Ace, a picture says a thousand words.

Great cartoon on this shows Sheehan with every single microphone in front of her face, CBS, ABC, FOX, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, etc.

It juxtaposes with Pat Smith, which just has the Fox News microphone in front of her.  Perfect.

Posted by: jewells45 at April 08, 2013 08:08 PM (u25eL) I regret to say I did. That's ten minutes I'm never getting back. These people honestly live in an alternate reality. (Foaming at the moth over Fox and Breitbart yet linking to Wikipedia, Mother Jones, Think Progress as "reliable sources"? They really are whackjobs of the highest order. Though I think they're just buttdevastated over their loss of complete control over the narrative) Everything they claim about the "wingnuts" is 100% pure projection. And you know the next time a Republican is the POTUS they're just going to copypaste objections to Obama. They're sheeple cultists incapable of independent thought like that.

125 Cindy Sheehan continued her protests after Obama took office, but the media decided that all the policies Obama continued over from Bush (the war, gitmo, etc) were no longer interesting or important.

126 I predict we'll see the media snub Obama in his last two years in office.  Their real goal now is to elect Hillary, and if Obama doesn't serve them well in that regard, they'll chuck him under the bus.

The media is not the praetorian guard for obama...they are protecting hillary and her 2016 shoe-in.

This could damage her, as obama, now in for the second term, is untouchable.
