Just watched Fracknation on Axs TV cable channel (they employ Dan Rather). It was a surgical takedown of Gasland, the Oscar-nominated, Emmy winning anti-gas drilling film that inspired Matt Damon's "Promised Land" flop.

The filmmaker, Phelim McAleer, financed it through Kickerstarter.

Did conservative blogs promote this? I must have missed it.

He exposed the maker of Gasland, featured regular people benefitting from natural gas drilling, used science to mock Hollywood....everything conservatives need to do. Watch it if you can. We need to support this stuff. It matters more than whatever the hell John Boehner is doing.

When I visited Charleston we went to the Hominy Grill -- very casual, neighborhood kind of place downtown open for breakfast/brunch/lunch/dinner -- low country cooking at very reasonable prices. So, surrounded by brilliance as I am at this site, I pray to hazard a couple of questions.

I deleted my facebook page, yeech. But I still go on my band's fb page to promote, etc. We have over 1,600 friends, including a contingent of young women who appear to be aged 20-30.

These ladies seemed obsessed with displaying photos of themselves wearing extremely little clothing and posed in um, compromising positions.

What's up with that? It seems so, classless and de-mystifying, almost a self-abuse.

Then there is another, smaller group of rather dowdy, some overwieght older ladies, 40-55, let's say. They post fantasy type photos of incredibly beautiful young women, airbrushed, Playboy style but soft-porn to stay within the rules I guess.

And what's up with that?
