Why would you download it over the device itself? Or are you saying it would do that afterwards, somehow?

It will download over your usual Internet connection, send it to the phone, and you're done.

Haven't noticed any battery issues yet.  But, I hate the look.  Way too harsh white light.  Icons look cartoonish and no real simulated depth of field to them.  To bring up their new control panel is retarded especially when locked.  I have to swipe up from the bottom multiple times to get it to show up.  And when locked, well its a tossup between the panel or the camera.  Hey you fucking Apple geniuses, since you took away the double tap the home button when the phone is locked to bring up your music player and stuck that on the control panel, why not have the control panel get activated that way instead?

Read a good article about that recently. The main point was "you have only one set of biometrics for your whole life. You can never change them if they are compromised. Why would you want to use that on something so insecure as a mobile phone?"

Correct answer: yourself.
If you feel you're not up to the task, Loyalist antecedents, immigrants from racial tyranny, I feel you.
That's wut the 10 commandments, the 10 amendments of the bill of rights is for.
Don't stress it.
Live it.\

(2) Bring up ITunes
(3) When it tells you you need a software upgrade for your device, go for it.

It will download over your usual Internet connection, send it to the phone, and you're done.

146 iOS 7 Bug Lets Anyone Bypass iPhone's Lockscreen To Hijack Photos, Email, Or Twitter Unless you're not Megan McCain, and you saw the "enable control panel on lock screen" setting and said "oh, HELL no!" As far as the fingerprint thing, applications and iOS itself can't access the fingerprint data, it's locked up in separate silicon that simply gives a "go/no go" signal to the CPU. And the scanner verifies that the finger is alive, so the obvious attack vector is right out. Incidentally, Motorola had a phone out ~2 years ago (the Atrix, take a bow if you bought one) with a fingerprint scanner where the data *did* flow through the main CPU and OS (and with what we now know about Android, that thing definitely was sending your biometrics to Google's servers). But there was no hysteria about it then.

Didn't you know? A thing isn't real until Apple does it. My HP laptop I bought early last year for testing Win8 has a fingerprint reader by the same company Apple bought for their biometric tech. To hear the drones talk, this is the first fingerprint sensor in a consumer product EVAR!

I think there would have been a much bigger stink if it was going onto all android phones because that is a comparable user base to the iPhone.

Was at an event today and someone, democrat, two time obama voter, original supporter of hillary, mentioned that the democrats just love Chris Christie.  He claimed that a poll was just completed and hillary cleaned Christie's clock in all 50 states.  Since the republicans love to let the dems choose their presidential candidates, guess we can look forward to a hillary/chris match.
