— Dave in Texas I've often mentioned it's a waste of time to argue with leftists. I think ace's expression for this is "you can't reason a person out of a position that they weren't reasoned into in the first place." Something like that, I still don't get the dental plan here so I don't get to sit in on the meetings.
That said, here's Greg Gutfeld doing the proper thing to Jim Carrey and Jason Biggs. Mockery and insults.
"Washed up comics have the right to suck." is pretty good, but the better line is "That's why Charlton Heston has a brighter future in films than Jim Carrey."

Writer #4: And then we can have a skit where we make fun of the new Pope! Right before Easter!
Writer #3: That's a good one! That's never been thought of before!

Writer #6: I don't know, maybe we're pushing the envelope a little bit *too* far here.

You know, "OMG, we can't have strangers able to walk into your room and see your medical records!! (And find out you're dying of/being treated for AIDS) We need laws protecting our privacy!!"
Because you know, up until the whole "AIDS crisis" there were no restrictions on who could and could not visit you in the hospital.
Anyway, $50 or less to your local lawyer gets you a HIPPA waiver to designate any and all you want the legal right to view your medical records and visit you at any time . . . .

Robert Redford is whitewashing the Weathermen in his latest movie:
Too bad there are no protests at that movie that I know of. Perhaps that one will tank on its own, as it should.
In a sane world where everything wasn't backwards, there would be protests. It should be a great offense to the families of those killed by political domestic terrorists. And they should be loud about it. Not to mention the glorification of open sedition. Redford is an ass.

"Hate Speech" will not be tolerated in their Utopian paradise. Guns will be banned and all citizens will be spied on "for their own good". And shouldn't all property rightfully belong to all people everywhere? The new society will streamline the justice system with the total replacement of 'proof beyond a reasonable doubt' with a popular vote based only on the identity of the accused.

>>Also....I still don't know who Jason Biggs is, and I have no desire to change that.
Like Jeff Daniels is recognized and defined by his extended gas/diarrhea on the toilet scene in Dumb and Dumber, the Biggs twat is known to those who do know him because he stuck his dick in an apple pie in some movie.
These guys both finally understand that the extent of their "talent" was the willingness to do soul-destroying, demeaning things for cash. They're just used-up whores who've found out they're not wanted in the mainstream of life.
Biggs is now the voice of a turtle in some cartoon, and I have no idea what Jeff Daniels is doing...probably something along the lines of disgusting acts behind gay porn theaters. I think he was doing something at CurrentTV for a while, so that's probably a step up.

If the Google human exonerates the site, then block the WHINERS from using Google. Kinda like a background check. If you have a history of abuse and "cyber-violence", no Google for you.
Google has a right to block those who abuse their service.

New Mark Steyn piece up today with depressing facts about our culture. "Over half the babies born to mothers under 30 are now [born out of wedlock]." And, "The most reliable constituency for Big Government is single women, for whom the state is a girlÂ’s best friend, the sugar daddy whose checks never bounce."

May I ask what your diagnosis is? The reason being is that I'd been told since I was a teen that I had a murmur, but it's nothing to worry about.
Well, my regular doc wasn't in when I had to go in for an appointment for bronchitis. His partner saw me and noticed the murmur and I told him what I had been told for 30 years. He said he didn't care what I had heard from the others and he thought it should be checked at once.
Turns out I was severly stenotic. Most ppl are born with a tri-valve. In rare cases, some are biscuspid. My cardiac surgeon told me I was born with something worse than that. I was "uni". I had very little blood passing through., and there was severe calcification.
Have you gotten a second opinion?

I'm sure if they cared to, they could have the crawlers trigger a pre-examination security scan of a site before actual indexing where the pre-examine machines present a "honey trap" fake front to the site that appears (via browser type, OS version, ports open, etc) to be a system that has known exploitable vulnerabilities. ex. make believe you're Win98 running IE5.
If the site takes the bait, and tries to send an exploit to the honey trap machines, then you black list them.
Google and the other big search engines are in a unique position to be able to slam shut the door or at least flag sites and dime them out to the ISP's hosting them

I will have to concede that I have NEVER changed the mind of the person with whom I am debating. Then I began to expand my focus, and I realized there are usually eavesdropping bystanders. These bystanders have not publicly committed to a viewpoint and so have less chance of "losing face" if they are swayed by what I say. They may never say anything, but you can be sure that if they have an interest in the topic, they will think about what they heard.
So now my rule is, try to only debate with a leftist when we have an audience. Posted by: Mindy at March 30, 2013 12:59 PM

Military officials said the accident was under investigation.
Family members said Shadle, of Elizabethville, Pa., was stationed in Virginia. He was married and had a 2-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter.
His uncle Donald Shadle, 67, of Elizabethville, expressed disbelief, saying his nephew had been on many overseas missions only to come back and get killed during a training exercise.
"He was always a good kid, and he always wanted to be a Navy SEAL and that's what he did," Donald Shadle said.
Shadle enlisted in the Navy in July 2000. The following year he completed his SEAL training and was assigned to his first unit in early 2002.
Navy officials said Shadle had earned multiple Bronze Star Medals with Valor and several service ribbons. While details about his deployments were secret, officials confirmed he had served in Afghanistan and Iraq. Posted by: Nevergiveup at March 30, 2013 01:34 PM

troopers, hussars, cossacks, etc. who try to windmill around with sabers, thinking they're going to hack, split, etc. the enemys' heads are only asking to get their sword-holding arm lopped off.
The only tactic is goring the opponent and an epee, or lance-type, sword is just as good if not better.

Yes. Yes it was.
And it's a fucking pleasure seeing much of that fun being poured on the heads of an actual enemy.

The problem is that people don't often die immediately from thrust wounds and can still land that killing slash on the head on the guy that just thrust them through the body. Add to that the problem that a thrust can only target one area at a time whereas a cut from above can potentially target pretty much anywhere, real fights are fought in three dimensions in which fighters move laterally (indeed, it is pretty much a requirement), etc., and you will realize why most military blades have been either cut-and-thrust or primarily cutting weapons (yes, the Roman gladius was a cut and thrust weapon - see Polybius for an account of thw Romans hacking off limbs).
The Victorians were wrong - swordmanship was not an evolution towards a more thrusting type of fighting, nor is the thrust necessarily a superior tactic.

I think he and the studio stupid enough to base a movie around him are trying to get free publicity. No such thing as bad publicity, blah, blah, blah. Just spell my name right.
