So One Year Ago Today
— CAC

This happened:

walkerentertained.jpg

pshop by @Slublog

Which gave MSNBC a sad:

And the Madison hippies moar sadz:

The loss for the Democrats, the unions, the fanatics in Madison, those without any sense of direction or purpose was a slap in the face. Literally:

Happy anniversary Wisconsin conservatives, Republicans, libertarians, Tea Partiers, Badger State bloggers, and of course the glorious, beautiful man that is Governor Scott Walker.

When we unite, volunteer for and fund a goal that must not fail, when our leadership actually leads, when egos are squashed for the greater good, when the pieces come together, when we really, really want it, we win.

The question is...do we? Do we consider the current state of affairs too far gone, or do we feel there is still time to hit the brakes and reverse course, as Wisconsin clearly has in the last two years?

Let me get this out of my brain before in congeals and causes me to go wackobird:  The thought occurs that obama and hillary set up Amb. Stevens for kidnap by taking away security and have him meet with a Turk! ambassodor in Benghazi, where in some heroes of ours answer the call to protect him for 7 hours while obama makes 2 stand down orders because he made a deal for a trade for weapons or the blind sheik and had to make it look like he had to do it.  And Stevens died.  Along with other heroes.

Whew.  Had to get it out because it was festering.  And its just too crazy.  Couldn't happen.

77 51 That's pretty close to what happened. I don't know that Hillary was in on the kidnapping, but she came up with the idea of arming the rebels. Just like Obama seemed to know nothing about OBL by the Kelly report. Except it seemed he was keeping an eye on her this time and changed the plan. Then she was supposed to take the fall, but she layered up instead. This was right before the election, and Obama needed Bill to stump for him. So, it was put off indefinitely.

105 Oh, for Pete's sake: House talks on immigration reform near collapse because Democrats are insisting that illegals get access to government sponsored healthcare during their "path to citizenship." Did anyone really believe that Obamacare wouldn't be expanded to illegals? *** they'll get healthcare anyway because when they show up to the ER, they won't be turned away.

Exactly the type of candidate the left will have their knives out for.

IIRC, it passed Gov Walker's first year on office. We has been trying to pass it for years to no avail.

And on this date in:

1968-RFK gets head shot, dies next day.

1967-Six Day War begins.

1944-Rommel goes on vacation.

Posted by: Niedermeyer's Dead Horse at June 05, 2013 07:05 PM (DPdf7) They did that during the recall. Since Republicans were galvanized and Walker's team was at the ready for that, turnout in the usually lackluster parts of the state (West/Central/North) exploded and offset any trickery handily.

The biggest problem with Wisconsin voting is same-day registration/ same-day vote.  You can walk in to a precinct with a 'friend' who vouches that you've lived at a particular address for the last month, with little or no other ID, and you can vote on the spot.  So we get tons of people coming up from Chicago and doing just that.  It's horrible.

Posted by: mama winger at June 05, 2013 03:09 PM (P6QsQ)

119 As mama will tell you, there was unusually high D turnout in Racine and Kenosha. There's your rumored buses. The turnout in Madison and Milwaukee was DOWN from 2008. Problem is, Republicans didn't show up with the strength they had in some regions from 2008.

Yup.  The Republican legislator from Racine was robbed of his seat just that way.  People were voting with no more ID than supermarket circulars addressed to OCCUPANT.  I am not making that up.

126 I find richly humorous all of the "remnant" talk around here after the ont post last. On the ONT itself, 'we are Isaiah's and the lurkers are the remnant'. To be fair, there is a remnant of the remnant. But I would hate to see more than 3 or 4 hands go up in this place if the question was asked, "Do you consider yourself part of the remnant?" I know that book well enough to know I'd have to be very careful about even thinking about putting my hand up. Some dear friends and others I know? Yes.

127 Dr. Jane D'oh @ 48 said, "Well, I may get re-involved in my tea party, now that the IRS is getting bitch-slapped."

You are more optimistic than I am.  I'm seeing them totally getting away with it and laughing at our outrage.  Nobody fired, nobody likely to be fired.  No new laws (that would be ignored like the current ones making this crap illegal) will pass the Senate and Zero's veto pen.  The long march is complete, no more reason to hide.  They WANTED this story to break, remember?  They leaked it.  They are out and proud with the jackboots now, intending to suppress donations to conservative candidates and causes.

Before people whispered about getting audited for being politically incorrect.  Before, conspiracy theorists talked about this stuff.  Now it is splashed on the front pages of every newspaper and when a couple of months go by and the realization sinks in that they got away with it, are getting away with it and are going to continue getting away with it the smart money is going to pull in and wait for the burning times to fix this mess.

If we are going to do something to fix this we have a very short window of time to do it, before fear shuts down most of the right side of the political discussion.

Except for the vouching part (that actually survived the Madistan Judicial Dance), that's still the problem.  The Rep. Jeff Stone bill, with regard to registration, only eliminates cell-phone pics of verifying documents that the Doyle-era Government Accountability Board put in.

As long as the city (Rat-infested) and county (run by RINOs who get no cooperation from the city on what little gets investigated) don't address that, it will continue regardless of what laws are passed.
