Some light scandalpalooza diversion [Purp]
— Open Blogger

A grammar test.

I got 8/10 but had to really think REALLY HARD about several of them. For a gearhead techie, who mostly deals in a "See the dog." type writing, that's probably a damned good score. With slight chemical/alcohol impairment, I could see scoring maybe 2/10...or less.

OK, that's enough diversion, now back to the good stuff - like Limbaugh living rent free in Obama's head.
...there are Republicans out there who would like to work with us, but theyÂ’re fearful of their base and theyÂ’re concerned about what Rush Limbaugh might say about them. And as a consequence, we get the kind of gridlock that makes people cynical about government...
See, its like this, the failure of bipartisanship is all due to one man, a private citizen, who's really just an entertainer, not any sort of deep policy wonk per se, yet he manages to be both an evil super-genius for managing to deftly thwart the plans of the smartest man in the room, and a drug addled Neanderthal knuckle dragger who represents the last dying remnants of bitter clingers who stand no chance of ever ever winning an election again rushing headlong onto the ash heap of history to join pet rocks, hoop skirts, chastity belts, and cuneiform as a spoken language.

That these two characteristics, evil super-genius with the power to thwart the most powerful man on the planet and clingy wasteoid doper throwback ash heap percher can reside within the same human body concurrently is near miraculous...at the very least its a 1:1,000,000 shot according to my bookie.

(1) ScandalGate™ - the "meta scandal" that there's so many concurrent scandals.

Funny that you put a picture of Jerri Ryan up.

Her husband Ran against JEF for Senate. Obama leaked their divorce documents where she made false claims against Jack Ryan.

Ryan lost to Obama.

7 of 9 helped put JEF into the White House.

I blame The Borg and Bush.

7 Nine of 10. My gut is unfailing when it comes to right and wrong, but my technical grammar vocabulary is lacking. Apparently my understanding of the gerund and gerundive was exactly backwards. I need to consult again with John Humperdink Stover, who has mastered the distinction.

31 One more reason to hate Iran. I knew that during the Iran/Iraq war they used children to clear minefields by having them simply advance before sending in their tanks. However, now I see that they issued them special "keys to Paradise." Supposedly 500 000 cheap plastic keys were imported from Taiwan by Ayatollah Khomeini. And hung around the necks of the doomed children as their 'ticket to Paradise' when they were blown up in the Iraqi minefields. They are a sick culture, a sick religion. a sick country, and have sick people giving birth to children for use as cannon fodder. What the fuck is wrong with these people? I remember reading about the special cemeteries they had for these "martyrs" where they had fountains and little streams dyed red to symbolize their blood.

38 I started to take the grammar test but I haven't finished my first cup of coffee,  so decided I would just come here and vent about Jake Tapper.

He is using the variation between the summary (from notes because they were not allowed to make copies) of the emails on the talking points and comparing it to one actual email copy "someone" gave him.  Of course they don't match,  since one is a summary.

So he is acting like the GOP CHANGED the email, and this is some sort of proof of a witch hunt or something.

Jake Tapper is NOT the ace reporter he portrays on TV.  I had run-ins with him when he wrote for Salon and mocked Bush constantly during the 2000 campaign. He is obsessed with pop culture and perfected the act of asking one tough question occasionally in press conferences (usually on something not crucial to the administration) and hardly ever asked follow-ups.  He only looked good because Chuck Todd was in the room.

I would tell him this on Twitter but he is as thin-skinned as Obama and blocked me.  I hope he ends up eating from a trash can.

40 I call bullshit on question 3. Suppose I were to say: "Ace is my favorite blogger who does not have sex with emus." That is a true statement*, and while it leaves open the possibility that I might like a blogger who does have sex with emus better, it does not logically imply that any such blogger exists. I am not aware of any such blogger, and if you are, please subscribe me to his or her newsletter. If Ace is my favorite blogger, then all of these statements are true: Ace is my favorite conservative blogger Ace is my favorite smart military blogger Ace is my favorite ewoky looking blogger Ace is my favorite blogger who dips his genitals in dessert foods Ace is my favorite blogger who bans people for discussing archery The guy who wrote the answer to question 3 would have you believe that there must be a liberal dumb military non-ewoky looking nondipping archery tolerating blogger that I like better than Ace. *to the best of my knowledge.

Looks like it is still in the theory stage but possibly true.  I would like to have seen how change there was.

But one thing to keep in mind.  All things radioactive are not "constant" per-say. They are based on a wide assortment of averages so that the published data can be taken as a fact to be used in empirical calculations.  IOW if you look at one atom's decay it will be different than another one atom's decay.  However if you look at 10 billion atom's decay the average will be a solid number that can be used.

88 I got 7 out of 10 and my grammar is usually above average. Either that was really hard or I'm getting seni...ooh look, a pretty bird!

89 58 Good morning. According to the quiz, I missed the that/which question, but I would argue that since they didn't include the commas in the "which" option, it was written incorrectly; thus, the "that" option was correct. I shall write a strongly worded letter to the BBC. I noticed that too. I demand a recount. Plus I was distracted by all that "neighbour" shit.
