— Ace This link itself is safe and will give you a written description of the news.
The Catholic news service quotes local sources who report that the radical Al-Qaeda-linked Jabhat al-Nusra, or Al-Nusra Front, was behind the savage killing. In video posted by Live Leak purporting to show the execution, dozens of men and boys are seen cheering on as three men are seated on the ground awaiting their grisly fate.
The men are methodically beheaded one at a time by men holding what appears to be a simple kitchen knife after which the heads are placed on top of the bodies.
According to Catholic Online, the first victim was Murad.
A frenzy ensues, with dozens drawing out their smartphones to capture the bloody scene, as a chorus of Allahu Akbar (“Allah is the greatest”) are sung with jihadi rapture. Several observers are seen moving within inches of the bodies in an effort to capture close-up photos.
I don't know who the other butchered men are.
This link is also safe, though it doesn't add too much to the Blaze report. At the bottom the red link at the bottom of this article, "CLICK HERE TO VIEW," takes you to the LiveLeak video of the savage butchery. That is a very disturbing video and you should consider whether you really need to see it and if it's too awful for viewing at work. I'm insulating it via a two step process (that is, I'm not putting the LiveLeak link on this site, to avoid accidental clicks).
I've attempted to see the possible merits in pushing Assad out of power but as bad as he is, any effort aimed at destabilizing him will just give Al Qaeda its own country and of course access to all of Assad's chemical weapons (and whatever other nasty things he's got in his military basements).
Has anyone seen this reported anywhere except on the online right? I thought I was being overly conspiratorial in suggesting that the American media were downplaying the second Egyptian revolution in order to help buttress their Dear Leader Obama.
But, unless I've missed the coverage, the media is also covering up this horror, and it does seem that they are deliberately embargoing any news stories which might tend to upset Obama's foreign policy goals.

Google shows CNN having an article about it. That's the only major US news outlet I see briefly skimming.
But it's not on the main page (it's also dated 14 hours ago, so perhaps it was there yesterday?)
Of course if that timestamp was right, it was posted after midnight

At some point we all have to face the act that Evil exists in the world. It did not start with Syria/Al Qaeda nor will it end there. It exists. We do not need to analyze it nor empathize with it or 'partner' with it. We need to deal with it. Head on. If not, we will become victims of it.
Enough said.

Devil worship is a terrible thing. There is no better proof that Allah is the devil and Mohammed is his minion than this atrocity. Five times a day they bow to the devil and he in turn allows them to run rampant, doing things even animals would shy from.

Ace,
Thank you for also showing sensitivity by requiring a 2-click effort to view the video. I would not want to stumble upon a video like this accidentally.
As for the religion of pieces and Syria. I concur with the belief that we keep arming both sides just enough that they can continue to kill each other but not enough to win and threaten others. It's a bad solution, but none of the others seem any better.

I feel so bad for Christians, Jews and the few moderate Muslims brave enough to speak out against the violence and murder in the cesspool that the ME has become due to radical Islam. These people are facing death at every turn and there is literally nothing to be done about it.
Everytime we, as a nation, get involved and pick a side it seems that the leader or group turn out to be just as bad as what came before.... what a bunch of damn savages. Better not to arm any Muslim groups over there...
You nuke the whole place.... you kill all the innocents along with the crazies... not a great option.
Its time to wash our hands of the whole damn place. Isreal will probably be safer when they are able to take care of the crazies that target them without worrying about the U.S. reprimanding Isreals leaders and the IDF...

You know everything you need to know about traditional Islam when you read the story of the girls who were barricaded in the burning schoolhouse in Afghanistan because they weren't wearing enough coverings.
Note I say traditional Islam. This IS Islam. Muslims who do not condone or even applaud these things are the minority; not in this country necessarily, but certainly in the world.

But, unless I've missed the coverage, the media is also covering up this horror, and it does seem that they are deliberately embargoing any news stories which might tend to upset Obama's foreign policy goals.
Posted by Ace at 12:32 PM CommentsWhat are his foreign policy goals, exactly? Arming Al Quaeda-affiliated Syrian militias with hand-held surface-to-air missile capabilities, for example, doesn't further any policy objective I've heard about, and Assad won't be beaten or even coerced into peace talks unless the United States becomes actively militarily engaged, with birds in the air and/or troops on the ground. His backing of Morsi's Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt makes no sense from any perspective, either long-term strategically or short-term tactically. And then, of course, there's his Russian reset, which is putting us back to Cold War status with that old enemy. Seems to me his methods have become...unsound. There are no goals. There is only that multiple choice quiz his staff prepares for him every day, where he circles one of the three or four options presented to him. It's like the world's most important social studies test where the answers Obama gives every morning become instant policy decisions.

That's only when they're "confined" to the White House. Then they have Camp David, Blair House, and all the mega-rich hotels they stay at on their once every three months vacations.
The White House is 55,000 square feet. The residence is the entirety of the second floor. If M Obama feels restless, the SS can take her on all sorts of jaunts during the day.
The woman is insane. The White House budget is something close to a billion dollars per year. She is living proof that money can't buy happiness. Most of the world is "confined" by limited resources. She has immeasurably rich resources at her fingertips and is chafing because she can't slip out without security at a moments notice. She is no more confined than any given Hollywood celebrity.

Putin is a snake in cat's clothing. He loves power. It just so happens that the best way to get and retain power, at this point in time, is by acting civilized. That will not last if circumstances change. Right now the "disappearances" of his rivals are only whispered about without being directly tied to him. Don't expect that to stay the case once he's cemented himself in the Kremlin.
The only difference between Putin and Obammy is that Putin's balls are made of steel and he hides them behind a veneer of leadership. Obammy has neither the balls nor the veneer.

So yeah, I keep my mouth shut about the Pope when I'm around Catholics. Actually, Pope Benedict did not apologize to the Muslims in the Regensburg matter. In his always subtle manner, he apologized not for the content of his message but for the Islamists' misunderstanding of it. He said "I am deeply sorry for the reactions in some countries to a few passages of my address at the University of Regensburg, which were considered offensive to the sensibility of Muslims," This is Benedictine for "I am sorry that some bigoted numbskull Muslims didn't understand my address." This is how Benedict customarily responded those who disagreed with him - not with "I regret what I said", but rather, "I regret that you took offense at what I said". This was his style.
