So, say in the Civil War, the Federal Government could blow up as many US citizens fighting for the South as they wanted to, but if some dude is holed up in a bunker in peacetime, we don't want a drone strike? I don't agree with him, but like someone said upthread, elections have consequences. If Hagel and Brennan didn't make it through, do we really think we would get better nominees? I know that isn't much comfort, but it's the way things are right now.

Sorry, I don't really know. iirc, the word "student" was used, but I don't have anymore information. I'm on the West Coast, but my sister's family lives in Maryland. I only found out about it when she mentioned it briefly during a family e-mail conversation.
