— Ace This Aaron Sorkin supercut demonstrates that he recycles the same lines over and over again throughout all the shows and movies he writes. But it also demonstrates something else: Everyone in Aaron Sorkin's ideal fantasy worlds is white, except for Dule Hill, D.L. Hughely, and Benson.
To be fair, Aaron Sorkin did write a juicy role for a black person in A Few Good Men (Murder Suspect)
— DepressiveBlogger69 (@AceofSpadesHQ) March 10, 2013
Some of Aaron Sorkin's best friends are people he won't put in his TV shows.
— DepressiveBlogger69 (@AceofSpadesHQ) March 10, 2013
The other thing I noticed is that Aaron Sorkin is just stuff he ripped off of David Mamet's early work mixed with "Friends." From David Mamet he took the dialogue that alternates between artificially clipped and artificially long as well as New Faux City sayings he's heard Ethnics say on TV ("Not for nothin'"). The "Friends" part is the sitcomy Cutesy Banter, the Sassy Catchphrasing, and the frequent Reversions to Childhoood (raspberries, head-slaps, sticking out of tongues).

lol!
You know, I just realized what Aaron Sorkin television and cinema reminds me of. You know how in the "Star Wars" prequels you get a lot of boring walking and talking, with no real action outside of the occasional highly choreographed lightsaber duel, during which you pray both sides end up dead?
Take out the lightsaber duels and replace them with shouted conversations with big arm gestures and you've described every single thing Aaron Sorkin has ever written.

with no real action outside of the occasional highly choreographed lightsaber duel
The prequel duels look cool on the first go round, but when you see 'em a second time they suck. Lots of spinning sabers for show, and most damning, the dominant fencing technique seems to be "turn your back to the enemy and swing your lightsaber over your shoulder".

Does Stern ridicule the JEF? I lost almost all respect for him (not exactly subtracting from a large number) when he acted like reading garbage from Al Shithead Franken was an epiphany.

Also, there was the one black soldier. Not the stupid one, he was white, the one of moderate intellect (though not as smart as the lawyers, you see, lawyers are super-smart and always good, even Kevin Bacon the opponent, was not tainted by any evil thoughts).
Of course, he was just the Greek Chorus and since he had absolutely no character flaws, it was OK that he be nonwhite.

I’m hoping ‘Star Trek-Post Reboot No. 2’ will be as much of a laugh riot as the first one.
‘Sorry, honey, I’m kinda busy single-handedly steering this gigantic starship that normally takes 400 people to operate on a kamikaze dive into a planetkiller. So -- what should we name the baby?’
Kirk -- HeÂ’s a REBEL!
Spock -- HeÂ’s a REBEL!
Scotty -- HeÂ’s a REBEL!
Bones -- HeÂ’s a... Drunk.
Gene Roddenbery, hustler and sexist pig that he was, had also been a military officer, an airline pilot and an LAPD cop. J.J. Abrams -- went to film school.
