Throwing My Hands Up
— Ace

The National Parks Service transparently nonsensical "First Amendment Exception" to recreating now even more nonsensically applies to only certain parks, to wit, those in which a big enough political stink has been made.

We used to have a media which was occasionally useful in criticizing the government for obviously self-dealing and corrupt maneuvers.

What is so filthy about all this is that Obama claims The Law -- the iron law -- compels these actions. Ergo, you should Blame Republicans. His hand is forced.

But the Administration's purely political "exceptions" to "The Law" disprove the claim that The Law mandates this nonsense. If The Law mandated this nonsense, it would continue mandating it even when Obama took some heat.

But of course it doesn't. These are all Obama's political choices-- that's why he can impose them and repeal them at his Imperial whim.

34 This is another example of TFG breaking the Constitution, which he swore to protect & defend. He should be impeached, no doubt about it. Bribing CJ John Roberts about his adopted Irish children should be another impeachable offense. Roberts screwed us with TFGCare because he threatened to expose the two children were not adopted through Irish laws, but diverted to South America and the women had the babies there. Irish law states children must go to Irish citizens and no private adoption agencies.

67 Last week, as soon as I saw that sign they posted at the WW II memorial, with the "First Amendment" exception noted on it, I knew there must be an upcoming rally of some Barry Obama special interest group. Sure enough, the Park Service now tells us that the National Mall is one of those "special" parks to which the phony "First Amendment" exception applies. Which is why they opened it to allow thousands of illegal aliens to assemble there a few days ago, so that the illegals could exercise their "First Amendment" right to demand that the U.S. reward their law breaking here with the privilege of U.S. citizenship. The whole "First Amendment" exception scam was dreamed up by the Obama administration, in advance, to justify opening the National Mall for the illegal alien rally. I'd bet money on it.

Maps and stuff here :http://www.indianadunes.com/

Take I-94 or I-90 as you prefer to Indiana SR-49/Chesterton exit and go north.

Straight ahead is a state park, there's a fee but if you have an Indiana annual pass it's all good.

Or go east on US 12.  I think Central and Kemil beaches and Mt. Baldy are the federal ones; there's a town beach at Beverly Shores that will be open and you can walk to the federal beach.

Ogden Dunes has a town beach, and Porter County has a county beach (adjacent to a factory, not the feds), but I've only been there once.  I usually prefer Beverly Shores.

No POTUS can legitimately play favorites. He isn't just playing favorites, he's persecuting/prosecuting based only on his ILLEGAL policy. Justice is Impartial. Melt Obama's "socialist" just-ice. 118 They are making it up as they go along. I think this was one of the complaints laid out in the Declaration of Independence: But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them. He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only. He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance. He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:

There's no question that sources are looking over their shoulders," Michael Oreskes, the AP's senior managing editor, told Downie. "Sources are more jittery and more standoffish, not just in national security reporting. A lot of skittishness is at the more routine level. The Obama administration has been extremely controlling and extremely resistant to journalistic intervention."

To bypass journalists, the White House developed its own network of websites, social media and even created an online newscast to dispense favorable information and images. In some cases, the White House produces videos of the president's meetings with major figures that were never listed on his public schedule. Instead, they were kept secret - a departure from past administrations, the report noted.

Frank Sesno, a former CNN Washington bureau chief who is now director of George Washington University's School of Media and Public Affairs, told Downie the combined efforts of the Obama administration are "squeezing the flow of information.

No matter how much care in cultivation, no matter the "good" intentions of the cultivator, it produces destruction. However... For every Goethe, there's a Nietzsche. For every Reupert Neudeck, there's a Hans Rathfels. Doesn't make one evil because the other exists. Both Hermann Hesse and Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn saw that even in the most evil person resides a portion of goodness, however small. Aside from Steinbeck, if American 20th century literature were judged by the likes of Hemingway or F. Scott Fitzgerald, we'd be damned.

Government workers are now the actual government. Congress and to some extent the courts are superfluous.

The departments write the laws authorized by a lazy Congress that let them do so.

We have entrusted our government to a bunch of brown shirted thugs who's first and only allegiance is to themselves and their Union.

The orders come down from the Executive (if it's a Democrat. Unions remember) and the workers carry out what they understand to be their orders.

How many Gov workers have we seen quite comfortable with violating citizens rights at the command of their boss? With no penalty.

It's not republicans vs democrats, it's citizens vs bureaucrats.

The GOP Tea Party elements are the Imperial Japanese of US politics. Except Obama didn't even have to drop a couple of nukes on you morons because you were so busy setting them off yourselves.

194 This reminded me of the chorus to Volunteers of America, ("Got to Revolution") so I looked it up on youtube...

Written by the idgits at Jefferson Airplane.. And they don't rhyme, and barely make sense, so its prob not the new theme song for us lol.

197 Eh, Boehner violated the first rule of negotiating and showdowns: Don't be the guy who blinks first. Honestly, what did he think TFG was going to do? Oblammo thinks he's winning now. Time to get the word out now of Obama/Reid/the Dims' intransigence. See if that 37 dimension chess move will pay off. Sometimes I think our guys have never played poker before or alternatively I wish they'd play high stakes poker with me. Then I could afford or avoid the crap-storm coming down the pike.

198 Sorry, but who posted Boehner wasnÂ’tÂ’ happy. Good, we want him fighting, and not agreeing to anything that the SCOAMF wants. He is president, not God. He canÂ’t decide that he will not negotiate the debt ceiling. This is exactly why our Founding FathersÂ’ gave us divided government, to reign in one who has abused his power.

Posted by: CarolT at October 10, 2013 02:43 PM (z4WKX)

199 And to think it was only last year when I said that the Reps were just going through the motions and that Boehner didn't have the guts or the brains to face down Obama and boy oh boy the shit I got from folks here about it.

I also said that Romney getting elected wouldn't make any difference and lo and behold the Romster came out a while back and said he wouldn't have pushed for repeal.

But do I hear any mea culpas? Nooooooo

If they fold completely enough, I may just vote for a Dem just so the whole party is out.

Honestly, can anyone tell me how that could be worse?

200 Administration has graciously allowed Utah to pay the freight for operating our national parks, per local news. Governor working out the details now. So much for our budget surplus.

He rebuffed characterizations that President Obama had rejected the House proposal for a six-week extension of the debt ceiling. “Well, he didn’t say yes. He didn’t say no,” Ryan said. “We’re continuing to negotiate this eventing,” Ryan said."

207 I just answered the phone for a PPP poll. It asked if I was please with TFG, No. Would I vote for a rep that is dem or R next time. R, of course, but none run here in MA. It also asked if I had a job. I hope more people get this call tonight and say they are displeased with TFG.

Listen to Rush, not O'Reilly, who is part of the insider culture, regardless of what he says.

OR buys into the BS being distributed by almost all the media, including Fox.

Let me ask you this..if the GOP is losing, then why is Obama's approval rating at 37%? It was at a low of 41 only a week ago.

Unemployment figures are spiking high again...it's recurring after the workers who have stopped looking and have essentially quit the workforce sought early retirement, disability and other forms of living off of the rest of us.

I do not think that people held ransom, tossed out of their homes, denied access to national parks while hundreds of thousands of illegals party in their place are loving Obama.

By the way - let's clairify something for OR and every insider : GOP is not the same thing as Conservative and certainly NOT the Tea Party.
