Happy Wednesday.

The Obama Admin used to say 7 million Obamacare sign-ups would mean success. Now they're saying they just made that number up . . . because there's no freakin' way they're getting to 7 million sign-ups.

New poll (PDF): most (54%) say Obamacare is having a negative impact on the countryÂ’s health care system.

1 Good Morning Morons.  Today is Wednesday, December 11, 2013.  On this day in 1997 Housing secretary Henry Cisneros was indicted for conspiracy, obstructing justice, and false statements to the FBI.  He later pled guilty to 27 counts of conspiracy, obstructing justice, and making false statements to the FBI (in his background investigation).   Clinton subsequently pardoned him because it was just a political witch hunt by Republicans.

On to the news, there are 8 pp worth today.

3 This was the first item on the news agenda on this date in 2012.  It is even more applicable now since it starts next month.  Yes, a new "fee" or tax as Roberts would call it for Obamacare.  And it is another "hidden" tax.  Of course it is not applicable to people in the FSA and illegals who get their Obamacare FREE.  Being in the FSA evidently is a "pre-existing condition".

6 Yes, Hairy Reid is a crooked asshole.  Here is some more "crony corruption" as Dirty Hairy uses his Senate office to push visa applications for a Casino.  I am sure Michael Corleone also asked him to pay for the "Gaming License".  But I am certain Senate Republicans will demand an "ethics investigation". <snark>  Of course, as usual, even if one occurred they would find no wrongdoing.

8 A real worthwhile group is taking care of a problem very few people even knew existed, including me.  Here they are burying 10 unclaimed veterans in SC but this is a nationwide organization.  I find it unfathomable that we have cremated bodies of veterans laying around in funeral homes and corner's offices that have never been buried.  Since they are a tax-exempt non-profit and not liberal Obama supporters I am sure the IRS is auditing the shit out of them.

10 Using their newfound nuclear option, Senate Democrats approved Obama's radical liberal to the DC court of appeals.  This is the court that rules on federal rules and regulations and it gives Democrats a 5-4 majority.  Counting the liberal Republicans on that bench they already had everything they needed.  All I can say is Republicans; you had better remember this shit if you take back the Senate.

BTW, that was a 56 – 38 vote so at least 3 RINOs had to vote for this scrunt and 4 more not vote at all. (note I haven't gone out an tried to find out who those were because I am sure they are the same old RINO/DIABLO crew that always stab us in the back and they make it hard to track down the names of back stabbers in Congress.

13 Here is a summary of the proposed budget deal that was reached yesterday.  It is a pure sham.  But look at the bright side.  It means the total collapse will come even sooner.  The treasury will just have to print more money.  That $80B a month they are printing now to fund the deficit will go even higher, and so will your grocery bills.

Of course by 2015 EVERYONE (except the FSA, congress, illegals, and the unions) will be on Obamacide and paying $15,000 a year per family member for "insurance" with a $10,000 deductible you will not be afford anything but fish heads (offal) and rice anyway.  And don't count on Boner 'n company getting rid of this law.

20 Yet another "banking rule" goes into effect to prevent another banking collapse such as 2008.

Called the Volcker rule and named after former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker, who helped craft the reform, the regulations ban banks whose deposits are backed by the government from trading for their own profits, a practice known as proprietary trading.

The rules also limit banks’ ability to invest in hedge funds and private equity ventures because those entities generally take on more risk – and reap bigger profits -- than traditional investment vehicles.

No mention of what actually caused the "crisis" because it is still going on today.

75 69 Does anybody here have any candidate in mind for the Presidency in 2016 that is worth a shit, and electable? I mean this as an honest question. I'm reallllly pessimistic about the whole thing right now. I have the feeling we are outnumbered and outlawyered. My tendency currently is to find the most conservative candidate and push them hard.

Decades ago, Oklahoma massively reformed our voting process and over time, our state has gone from being a Democratic stronghold to a Conservative Republican one.  Oklahoma Congressman Carl Albert (D) served 30 years and was Speaker of the House for 6 years.  When the vote is honest, the people who deserve to be in office get elected and the the ones who need firing get fired.

Morning, ‘rons and ‘ronettes.  Thanks for the morning briefing, Vic.  Today, a couple of quick quips from the master of droll comedy, W.C. Fields, both of which the Horde will appreciate:

Whenever the federal excise tax on liquor went up, Fields would lament, “The cost of living has gone up another dollar a quart!”

Another story has Harpo Marx visiting FieldsÂ’ house at 2015 DeMille Drive*.  At one point in the tour, Fields took Marx to the attic, which was packed stem to stern with hundreds of crates of booze.  “Bill,” Harpo asked, “donÂ’t you know ProhibitionÂ’s over?”

Fields gave Harpo a sideling look.  “You never can tell, my boy.  It may come back.”

Oh, what the heck – letÂ’s have another story.  Apologies if IÂ’ve told it before.

Fields and Mae West are forever linked as comic partners in the minds of classic movie lovers, even though they only made one movie together – 1940s My Little Chickadee.**  Both argued over lines and characterizations throughout the film, and ended the shoot with a hearty dislike of each other.

West, as it happens, was – as even so sympathetic a biographer as Simon Louvish admits – as essentially selfish woman whose only efforts were directed towards the creation and maintenance of the character “Mae West.”  She disliked being thought of as merely a plush-figured double-entendre actress, and was offended when she thought people were belittling her talents.

Once, at a dinner party hosted by Roddy MacDowell, soprano Beverly Sills asked West who had dubbed her in the aria “My Heart at Thy Sweet Voice”*** during an opera scene in 1935s GoinÂ’ To Town.  “What do yÂ’mean, who dubbed it?” West cried.  “I sang it myself.  After all, IÂ’ve got a trained voice.”

“I wasnÂ’t aware,” Sills responded, hoping to drop the subject.  “How wonderful!”

But West wasnÂ’t finished.  “Do yÂ’know that aria?” she demanded.  “I think I used to,” Sills mumbled, wanting only to get away.  “I donÂ’t anymore.”

“Well, IÂ’ll tell you one thing about it,” West lectured the Met diva.  “It ainÂ’t easy!”

And here’s a picture of W.C. Fields examining Mae West’s “symmetrical digits” in My Little Chickadee:

http://tinyurl.com/nhxzbsj

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

*C.B. himself was the only other occupant of the street, living at number 2000.

**actresses Elsie Cavana and Alison Skipworth were usually the featured female players in FieldsÂ’ films.

***“Mon cœur s’ouvre à ta voix” from the opera Samson and Delilah by Camille Saint-Saëns.

141 Wait..7 million sign ups for Obama's government man dated insurance?

But weren't there 30 million uninsured? So if Obama is going to be a success, don't they have to get those 30 million people covered?  So does that mean 23 million go on Medicaid?

Ok, so good so far, but what about those people who lose their insurance? They stay uninsured?

Ok so Obama says 30 mil uninsured can't get 'care' which is a lie right from the beginning, but now those 30 mil are insured and 30 million other people who were insured are now uninsured because that would be fair.

Progress!

146 I think Rick Perry isnÂ’t running for governor again to take the time to get ready to run for president. I like him, he has one of those infectious smiles that makes me want to smile. In addition to his back surgery, he was, I believe the only one in 2011 that had a real job and he had to deal with the wildfires in TX. Plus that turd Rove went out of his way to badmouth him on FNC. The Bushes & PerryÂ’s have had a long running feud. Rove just wonÂ’t let it go. I only hope FNC will get rid of Rove,heÂ’s inconsequential now & has been for years. They should have gotten rid of him after his tantrum on election night 2012.

148 Does anybody here have any candidate in mind for the Presidency in 2016 that is worth a shit, and electable? I mean this as an honest question. I'm reallllly pessimistic about the whole thing right now. I have the feeling we are outnumbered and outlawyered. My tendency currently is to find the most conservative candidate and push them hard.

Posted by: tubal at December 11, 2013 07:12 AM (YEQ2h)

Right at the moment?  Cruz, Gowdy or Paul.  However, the problem is this - unless (and it's a big unless) the GOP nominee, if elected, doesn't immediately seize the Obama example and push through a shitload of EOs and runarounds past Congress to smash Leviathan (as well as ignoring, marginalizing and dismissing the screams of the hypocrites on the left) - then holding the Oval Office counts for nothing.

Obama has set the example of a dictatorial presdent who can ignore the Constitution, and the left is happy with it.  I say we do the same thing and shove it down their throats until they choke and die.  That also means putting the RINOs on fucking notice that they'll get their asses handed to them if they obstruct the actions in any way.

I'd have a hard time forgiving the guy for cutting doughnuts in the snow though, at the edge of a dropoff, 20 miles from Burning Man. I preach the old gospel: it's enough of a thrill just to motor along in the wild, like driving a mule train, keeping between the telegraph poles (the Latin verb for "to do" or "to go" -- it's the source of "act" -- also means to drive a mule). No reason to get all fancy with nobody even watching. But do they listen? No-o-o.

Also, that fucking game-playing device in its gay little holster will not save your ass anywhere west of the big river. Carry a map. Jesus Christ, people.

Looks like most of what he did after that was sensible though. And how about that Civil Air Patrol? Citizens don't get no solider than those guys. God bless 'em.

218 MPPP-Your comments sound fine. :^) I don't actually have an advice. This is what Scripture says: "And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it." I find debates about the role of Peter and the "true" church unproductive because people get angry and it sounds like an unfortunate rerun of the Reformation. I try to stay out of those discussions here . For Christian Jesus Christ is THE Rock. Do I think Christ wants unity? Yes. I think unity is achieved when we realize all Christians are our brothers and sisters in Christ and when put focus on Jesus and the the new covenant in His blood. It's when we proclaim a suffering Messiah who died and rose again and lives in the Holy Spirit so that our lives might be transformed in love. This is much preferable than when we go on and on about how are particular church is the best. I can understand that people believe their church is the best, but it doesn't make for unity and I think that division is of the flesh and the devil. The faithful believers in Christ-the church-will not be prevailed against ultimately. That mystic church will always last. Will it be it be persecuted and attacked? Undeniably.

True.
What I fear is the power of the public school and media brain-washing. They've been singing Hillary's praises since 1992 - that's 20 years of people being told what a smart and ground-breaking woman she is. Depending on who she runs against, the LIVs might just shrug and say, "It's time for a woman."
Which is exactly why Hillary's first unofficial 2016 campaign efforts centered on being ready for a woman - remember those "Obey"-like Hillary face t-shirts with the word "Ready"?

NYPD Beat Family and Killed Pet Parakeet in Own Home, Lawsuit Says

DNAInfo New York: http://tinyurl.com/numlfhk

ST. GEORGE — A Staten Island woman has sued the city claiming police entered her St. George home without a warrant, beat her family and killed her beloved pet parakeet, according to court documents.

Last year, Evelyn Lugo's bird, Tito, was thrown from his cage after it was knocked off a dresser as cops came into her Corson Avenue home, the Daily News first reported.

The officers then stepped on the bird intentionally, killing it, court documents say.

Officers also beat two of Lugo's sons, her daughter and a family friend, the lawsuit claims.

According to court documents, police entered Lugo's home on Sept. 2, 2012, as her family was celebrating Labor Day.

Police stopped and questioned her son Edwin Avellanet as he was outside throwing out garbage and asked for identification, the lawsuit says. When he refused to show any, officers allegedly grabbed his right arm and Avellanet broke free and ran into the building.

Officers broke windows of the home, and when Lugo opened the front door she was thrown outside by police, court papers say...

Since your son is younger, he will learn better by imitation. So maybe try shooting left handed, so he can see the proper form. You know the form, and will be able to translate it to the opposite side. He will be able to imitate you better, and will have better form. That will make getting better a lot easier. He will have a better base to work from. Of course, that's just my opinion, and I could be wrong. Now who wants pie?

The very existence of the Obama presidency is proof that a government can be run (not necessarily well or legally) with "handlers" doing all the real work.  So long as Hillary is not on a breathing tube 24/7, she will do just fine as a Potemkin President.

279 "Will it be it be persecuted and attacked?"

And this is where we will cease being Lutheran or Roman Catholic or Eastern Orthodox or Presbyterian or broad American evangelical.

The true church, not hemmed in by denominations, will stand in the face of persecution.

280 Obama will not be able to get anything done as a duck for 2 years.

--

All he really needs to cement our total transformation is to get amnesty.  And, apparently the stupid, stupid GOP is ready to hand it to him on a silver platter.  It is the death knell for America.  And it's likely coming.

281 IÂ’m glad new post is up. IÂ’m going to get ready to go to work. I wish I could stay home all winter.

282 Tubal, There seems to be debate in theological circles about how much we are to submit to the Government You might appreciate the POV of this gentleman: http://www.creationliberty.com/articles/romans13.php Scripture says we are supposed to pray for our leaders (and not the "God smite them now with a heavy hand and send them to hell) "types of prayers ;^) so that we might live in peace. So I pray for the conversion of the people in Government who profess Christianity to a real belief in Jesus Christ, that they are healed and filled with the Holy Spirit and exhibit the Fruit of the Spirit. Would Obama do what he's doing if he were exhibiting the Fruit of the Spirit? No. I'm not sure what you mean by fighting? Protesting injustices or hand to hand combat? For me, my true citizenship is in heaven. I love the U.S. but it is not the Kingdom of God and never will be. I hope that if I can called to give up my life for my faith I can do that. As far as the use of carnal weapons I leave that to the conscience of the individual.

283 Posted by: Lizabth at December 11, 2013 09:00 AM (JZBti) Very true Lizzy. When Christians are attacked. the state will go against all of them. It won't matter what your denomination is. If you aren't part of the church of the state they will bring power against people. Deitrich Bonhoeffer was weal aware of this

284 @247 Southpaws are weirdos. I'm left handed but there are a few things-shooting, guitar-that I can't even comprehend trying to do left handed. Initially, it never even occurred to me try them left handed. Guitar especially feels like I'm trying to remotely control another persons body.

285 >>You mean nepotism had nothing to do with it? Between her rug munching mom and philandering father, she should sit tight and stay out of the public sphere. She will inherit enough money soon enough.

Au contraire! Chelsea has recently felt the call of public service and decided to get more involved. She's now working for the Clinton Global Initiative. Get the feeling they're grooming her. Lord, save us!

Oh, and did you see that she sat in the front row at the Mandela memorial while Jimmy Carter was relegated to a seat rows behind her?

286 250 It's been more than three days. Shouldn't Mandela have arisen by now? Posted by: --- at December 11, 2013 08:49 AM (MMC8r) Maybe they plan to do him Lenin style! http://goo.gl/PHFWbB Lenin never really recovered after he was shot in 1918. He was gaunt and frail. Yet, after the embalming, he's a little fatty.

287 @280 Hrothgar JEF is proof a goat can be elected POTUS. The handlers behind the curtain do what they want. I almost have a sense of pity for JEF-- he is a fool and everyone knows it, but he is caged in the post he has. No one meaningful respects him. He is a laughing stock and there is nothing he can do about it.

288 Thanks for the response Fenelon. I was thinking of history and how much fighting on earth that was necessary to preserve the faith. I know that we are agents of God, and sometimes instruments. I have a sneaking suspicion I am more of an instrument, but if that is what it is, so be it. I want God's will, regardless.

Since then nothing... Apparently, they spend donations like crazy and do almost nothing. Money has disappeared.

291 @287 Lizzy "She's now working for the Clinton Global Initiative." She is collecting a hefty check while sitting on the Board while mom and dad get a tax write off. Not real work in any sense.

Yep. But no doubt she'll start collecting awards and honors just like her mom, networking with her daddy's friends and donors, etc...

298 And the best weapon, IMO, in the battle against powers and principalities is to put on the Full armor of God in a deliberate way every day. I mean that figuratively, not dressing up in Roman military gear. :^) I mean thinking, "I am not putting on the breastplate" (God's approval because he sent his son to die for us) I am now putting the sword (the spirit) the word of God, etc and PRAY. Peace be with you, brother.

Hillary was on the board of directors of Walmart for years while her cronies attacked it. It's a scam and just another way of funneling money to leftys.

309 He's right eye dominant and left handed, which really sucks for him. I'm with toby928 on this one. I was going to ask which eye is dominant and let that inform what you decide. Another thing: If he's really clumsy shooting right-handed, space practice onto different days and don't let him be discouraged by how badly he does at first. There's something about sleeping on new muscle & motor control that smooths them out. I apologize in advance if you already knew this. I've known this almost all of my life, and I was a little surprised to discover peers who were never taught this.
