Researchers have discovered a stunning new process that takes the energy from coal without burning it -- and removes virtually all of the pollution
snip
The process removes 99 percent of the pollution from coal, which some scientists link to global warming. Coal-burning power plants produced about one-third of the nationÂ’s carbon dioxide total in 2010, or about 2.3 billion metric tons, according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
I have some news for you SOBs, CO2 is not pollution contrary to what those lying crooks in the EPA say. This scam has been discredited now for several years, quit publishing the lies.

The administration plans to improve coordination with other countries that share its concerns over trade secret theft, and will push for trade secret protections in negotiations over international trade agreements.
Not only nothing, but they will kowtow at trade talks begging for them to stop. (Bing/Google up the meaning of “kowtow”)

Many continue to ask why the media and lawmakers have not spoken to or brought forth those who survived the deadly attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi last September. The truth of the matter is the Americans who survived that attack cannot legally reveal to members of the press or most lawmakers that they were even witnesses to the attack in Benghazi.
They have been gagged.

'Morning, all. Sadly MP3 is not up to storytelling today - frankly, I'm hung over. But so as not to leave you all in the lurch, here's a link to a story about the different homes Bela Lugosi lived in during his Hollywood days:
I promise to be a good boy tonight and not drink; although, an alcoholic haze does seem to be the best way to get through these next four years.
See you all tomorrow.

I held out until the low fuel light came on and save about $10 by merely paying about $4.10 a gallon in the north end of Ventura County. I made a point of having a full tank when the job took me to Santa Barbara this week.

I think it's great that at least SOMEBODY in the news media is trying to locate and interview the Bengazi survivors, but given the nature of what U.S. Personnel were doing there I'm willing to bet that those people are members of the intel community who have been instructed to STFU and who have probably already been re-deployed to various inaccessible places across the globe.

That was covered in the editorial. Governors like Mr. Scott and Kasich are trying to innoculate themselves on the right by creating triggers or "sunsets" that would automatically rescind their participation in new Medicaid if - make that when- Washington reneges on funding. They're only conning themselves. HHS can simply impose a blanket "maintenance of effort" rule that prohibits opting out - or any other change.
Thanks for playing, suckers.

As I've said before, and will say again, until the inevitable happens and Karl Rove lines his pocket with Jeb Bush's dollars and goosesteps us into another Presidential defeat, the Bush® brand is damaged beyond repair.
Which is unfortunate for Jeb, as I thought he did fine as Gov of FL. As long as the American public is willing to give Obama a free ride by continuing to blame everything bad on GWB, there's no chance for another Bush. I don't see it ending. LIVoters decide elections, sad to say.

I submit that it's a bad idea to put a 23 year old in charge of a class of teenagers.
For that matter I think it's a bad idea to put a 23 year old in charge of much more than a class of toddlers. There's still 0 maturity at that age (and frankly most of them are still coming off their college hangover. Clearly this one never left the bender.)

He fucked that up for sure but the Shah was probably gone with Adultery of the Heart or without him. Carter certainly showed his idea of Christianity smelled like a dog's ass by refusing to let the Shah into the country for medical reasons despite his having been our best friend in the ME other than Israel. That sure won a lot from the kidnappers.

"That kind of regime" was on the road to being, dare I say it, enlightened.
There is a fiction that his regime was massively repressive. Not so. That torture was widespread. Not so. And in comparison to the mullahs, the Shah was about as soft a touch as there was.

FWIW, a third of the newborns my father sees (he doesn't deliver, he just checks them out to see if they're healthy enough to go home) have parents that Margaret Sanger would have deemed "human weeds" because they have too much melanin/speak English as a second language.
And about another third of the mothers are poor, and the "kids first, marriage later" thing reached rural Iowa about 20 years ago; she wasn't a fan of those, either.

I rode across town behind a buddy on a Kawasaki flexible-flyer, once. People in cars pointed. And sidecar? Not without a .303 GPMG. It's like wearing seersucker.
So, four guys on 51 MPG motor cycles go for a weekend trip. That's 13 MPG, plus a little oil. You'd do better with one 4WD pickup truck, if it's a half-ton.

A lot depends on where you live. Have had a 103 since 2005. Here in Florida it runs hot and had the added expense of a race tuner and new pipes so we would not burn our legs. Bike came with an oil cooler and you'll need to add one if the bike does not come with one. Here on flat ground we get about 33/34 mpg. When we travel to NC we get 38-42 mpg. If you live in or near the mountains you should be okay. If not, prepare to be disappointed.

Carter was the worst of all worlds totally incompetent and a micro-manager. I have worked for one of those before. Let me tell you, it is a grade a SOB.
Welcome to virtually every manager I have ever had. My current supervisor and the supervisor I had when I started my LAST job are/were awesome. Every other one has been either a micromanaging idiot or a laissez-faire twit. I'm all for laissez-faire when it comes to gubmint, but when you're a private business with three employees and you're leaving a lot of big business decisions to little old me, the chick who answers the phones and takes orders? Then there's a problem, IMO.
The micromanaging is at its worst in gubmint work; I honestly believe that. It's already such a bureaucratic profession. Toss in a hovering moron (lowercase M) who doesn't know the first thing about what you're trying to do and keeps interrupting you as you do it and you just add to the amount of time and red tape it takes to get ANYTHING done. At least in private business there usually has to be SOME deliverable that has to be completed by a certain time.

First, get to the door. Then yell, "Everyone leave the building! This is a mandatory emergency drill!"
Or, you know, yell, "FIRE!" You're only not supposed to yell fire in a crowded theater when there is no actual fire.

Be careful about 'lie' questions like, "If you saw a ten dollar bill lying on the ground, would you put it in your pocket?"
Because they've performed a ton of studies that show that people put it in their pocket and don't look for a lost and found. People who claim to be the type that would look for a lost and found are lying.
On the other hand, I told the honest truth on a phone interview once that I would be uncomfortable working with people whose first language was not English. No job offer. But I really did not want to do IT work with people with a limited ability to conjugate verbs correctly.

Sunshine? What the hell is that? The wife brings home local newspapers from her job for me to start fires with. Sometimes a headline catches my eye before I shred the paper. I saw yesterday that a local school is 'donating' a large section of school grounds for the installation of solar panels. Here in Pennsylvania, a state notorious for having lousy weather and little sunshine.
They'll be destroyed by our incessant freeze/thaw periods between November and March long before they ever break even. I don't say that as just some knne-jerk conservative, but I actually have experience in the matter. Solar in this state is a joke. An expensive joke.

That's one of the problems with our politically correct society. Anyone with a handicap can only be exalted. We're not allowed to point out that maybe, just maybe, the person is flawed in a big way. Early on, the reports were that this wasn't the first time police had to come to his house. Those reports quickly disappeared.
