— Gabriel Malor Happy Tuesday, mush-heads.
Apparently, the yoots were rioting in Brooklyn last night.
Instapundit writes in USAToday about the idiocy of school policies concerning guns and things that are not guns but that administrators have fits of hysteria about because they are stupid people with forebrains the size and density of olive pits.
Politico draws a line between Obama's sequester Chicken Little-ism last month and his Administration's current problems.
Conclave starts today. Actually, I think it started while we were sleeping.

Good Morning Morons. Today is Tuesday, March 12, 2013. On this day in 1933 FDR started his “fireside farts”. America was amazed while sniffing his ass.

Good morning, ‘rons and ‘ronettes. Icedog asked me yesterday for a Sinatra story. I’ve got one you probably haven’t heard, of a little quarrel between The Voice and MGM head Louis B. Mayer, but I need to nail down one or two more details. So that’s for tomorrow. For today, I apologize for being brief, but I only have time for a quick Mae West story:
In a 1934 issue of Collier’s magazine, West told of the time a local reporter called on her for an interview. “Miss West,” she asked, “do you think you would like to be a mother and would you be a good mother if you were a mother?” West was flummoxed at the question; after a moment, she said, “Are you a mother?”
The reporter drew herself up and replied stiffly, “I am not. Nor am I even married.”
“Neither am I,” said West. “This ought to be a real helpful conversation.”
Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Listening to an Indiana University professor interviewed on the radio about his book "Two Presidents Are Better Than One." He thinks we should have one president from each political party and that they should be forced to work together.
This would cut down on partisanship, he thinks.
I had to go look up the book on Amazon to make sure it was real. It is. The guy has an endowed chair at IU and is apparently insane. Nice use of my tax money.
How do 2 presidents occupy 1 White House? How do you FORCE them to work together? Who is the Commander-in-Chief? Who is the Head of State for foreign affairs? How in the hell would this cut down on partisanship?
There obviously are drugs in the water down in Bloomington.

Post from yesterday
WaPo shows us what the next scam will be in the budget debate and entitlements.
It seems there is a difference in the life expectancy between rich communities and poor communities and they want to look at how that effects SS. They are using the same bogus methodology as they always have. “Life Expectancy” as it is currently calculated has no bearing on SS which is not paid until the 60s. As currently calculated, life expectancy is calculated using the averages beginning from birth to death.
Of course these “poor” communities have a lower life expectancy. That is because a great many more of them die in those critical years between 0 and 30 from a variety of problems. But if you go and look at the average age reached before death after they reach the age of 60 I would suspect there is very little difference. But you can expect to see this “age gap” touted as problem requiring more for the FSA.

- Strip the 800 Billion+ stimulus from the CR budget.
- Eliminate base line budgeting and automatic increase, make every program sing for it's supper.
- 15% cut to all federal employees (2.65 Million to 2.25 Million)
- Cut all tax rates and institute add 10% tax rate on those who do not currently pay taxes under our progressive tax system.

The same thing is being done with healthcare through the robbing of Medicare to fund coverage for younger Americans.
The arguing between generations will escalate from the blogs to the cable TV shows and eventually to families. It will poison the social fabric and is a deliberate attempt to sow envy and hatred. No good will come of it.

Morning all!
So that story about the Brooklyn riot is muddled, or at least it is to me this early in the morning, but this passage stuck out to me.
[New York City Councilman Jumaane D. Williams] later described the scene of chaos in Flatbush, saying that garbage cans had been overturned and people smashed out windows. He added that one person had been attacked outside of a local Rite Aid.
‘Tonight was a peaceful vigil that devolved into a riot,’ he wrote. ‘The youth in this community have no outlets for their anger, no community.’
To which my response is, "Then you're a pretty shitty city councilman, aren't you, Mr. Williams?"
I know it sounds terribly callous, and no one wants to see a teenager shot and killed, but maybe if the "community" in which these kids live didn't maintain the kind of mentality that would justify rioting because their peaceful protest march was "impeded," then maybe, just maybe, those kids would have more of a future than they have now. Maybe, just maybe, they'd realize that "peaceful protest" is not the same as "peaceful protest until someone gets in our way, in which case free-for-all wins the day." And maybe, just maybe, this young man wouldn't have made it a habit of breaking the law, culminating in the stupid decision to carry a .357 magnum around in his waistband like a wannabe gangsta.
I'm not giving the cops a pass on this, btw. The kid was shot eleven times. That's what I call overkill. What, were they taking lessons from the LAPD?
PS -- Yet again, my loathing of the term "community" comes to the forefront with a vengeance. I hate that word now as much as I hate the word "synergy," a feat I never thought possible.

SS will probly collapse and all, but we won't be rid of it entirely. We're gonna have ass-loads of old people who didn't or couldn't or wouldn't save money for retirement and who had worked dumb-ass McJobs their whole lives [because they took Gender Studies and the economy sucked-ass for so long]. Yes, they're dumb but nobody wants to see starving asshole old people and some of them are going to be parents of kids who don't want to take care of them either, and besides they all vote.
So the best anybody can hope for is 1] nobody eats dog food to get by, or the dog. We return SS to a subsistence program and make the safety net that, no longer a hammock, by tossing off the scammers. Yes, that does mean means testing, and stricter qualifying measures all round. 2] nobody wants to see Obamacare kill off old people by the gross either, but thats the only other means to straighten the mess out, if we're talking things and not people. 3]? Probably some Soylent Green thinger with extra gristle.

Boss 302 is an awesome looking car, no doubt.
It's funny though. 0-60 in 8.1 seconds was OK back then, but in today's world, I'm guessing that time would barely hold its own for a family sedan.

The people jumping up and down saying that it's "THEIR MONEY" are the ones who bought the Big Lie. Social Security is a TAX, not any kind of savings program- and the government has no obligation to return any monies paid in taxes.

He says that first through the progressive's theories of eugenics (in which some races were thought to be inferior) and then through the idea of discrimination (in which certain groups were held back), certain groups are left thinking they cannot achieve, either because of their own incompetence or because of the malice of others. Multiculturalism never lets them adopt elements of other cultures without being thought traitors to their race, so they are trapped in a culture of despair and resentment, always blaming others for their lack of achievement.
And a permanent, resentful underclass is exactly what certain politicians want.

And I get that. I do. I still think that eleven bullets in one guy is excessive. Unless the guy is a tweaker who WILL NOT go down no matter how many bullets you put in him (or her).
I certainly think the shooting was justified. My only question is about the level of response. And since I don't live in or near Flatbush and don't know what these particular plainclothes officers see in terms of violence on a daily basis, I can't make an educated judgement. So consider this my layman opinion.

New York City Councilman Jumaane D. Williams, who represents the area of Flatbush, has been tweeting live updates, and said: ‘I’m in the middle of the riot action at Church and Snyder in my district. Right now, things are tense. Young people have expressed anger.’
Mr Williams later described the scene of chaos in Flatbush, saying that garbage cans had been overturned and people smashed out windows. He added that one person had been attacked outside of a local Rite Aid.
‘Tonight was a peaceful vigil that devolved into a riot,’ he wrote. ‘The youth in this community have no outlets for their anger, no community.’
Quick! Someone send in a community organizer!!! If they're such little saints, why do they need outlets for their anger?

@81The politicians broke S.S not the boomers.
"They have been financing their "great society" and profligate spending on the backs of the boomers by co-mingling SS funds with the general funds."
But yet LBJ and the democrats who implented that in 1965 are long dead.
"I know of no state that has a solvent municipal union pension fund."
Then the state shouldn't be offering a pension fund. Those wage slaves in the private sector have to do their own planning-- if there is anything left after living expenses and paying back the glorious student loan.
Social security = indentured servitude of the American youth without their consent. Greedy geezers need to embrace the change or else.

Exactly.
And I personally have a problem with the idea that they have "no outlets" for their anger. Bullshit. Of course they do. They can go to church and pray. They can study hard and vow to get the fuck out of Flatbush when they graduate. They can dress up a pillow to personify their frustration and beat the shit out of it every night. Saying that the kids have "no outlets" for their anger is simply enabling the behavior. They have outlets and choose not to pursue them. That's your fault, Councilman, but more specifically its the fault of the kids' parents.
How many of them have a dad at home? I'm going to take a wild guess and assume maybe one in ten. You want to get angry at something, kids, get angry at your dumbass parents.

That illustrates part of what is wrong with the program. When originally passed SS was intended ONLY for seniors who actually worked at least quarters. My mother was never able to draw ANY SS because she got married before completing 3 quarters of work.
Now not only do you not have to work, but you can draw SSDI as a child which is outright fraud whether they are disabled or not.

You fire until the threat is eliminated. You don't shoot, wait to see what happens, maybe shoot again - you wipe out the possibility of return fire. The police are under no compunction to make it a "fair" fight. Nor should they. Not if you want to keep any of them on the force.

Agreed. Take out the threat with maximum force. If a person threatens to take the life of another, he's done. And does it really matter whether it's 5 bullets or 12? Dead is dead, right? And how many bullets would be enough? Who gets to decide? Is it a case by case analysis or a blanket rule?

Beavers is charged with failing to pay income taxes on $226,000 that he allegedly took from his campaign funds and used for personal purposes. Prosecutors said he spent much of that money gambling at the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond. The government also alleges he put $69,000 in his retirement fund

"He'd heard about that, on the voyage from Audhumla. Every person on
Marduk would be retired on an adequate pension after thirty years
regular employment or at the age of sixty. When he had wanted to
know where the money would come from, he had been told that there
would be a sales tax, and that the pensions must all be spent within
thirty days, which would stimulate business, and the increased

"RINO Romney wanted to turn SS into a real welfare program and shit on seniors who actually worked for a living before retiring"
SS has always been a welfare program. It has never been anything else. Most particularly, it has NEVER been a savings program that you "paid into".
Your politicians have lied about this for the last 70 years. Stunning, I know, but there it is.
The SS tax and the SS welfare program are entirely separate. Roosevelt's own justice department argued as such in the case before the Supreme Court that challenged the Constitutionality of the SS programs.

And at a meeting of Senate Republicans recently, several lawmakers spoke out against Cruz's plan, with some raised voices. Obamacare is a reality, one lawmaker argued; there's just been an election that was in part a referendum on it, and Republicans lost."

Vic, Social Security was never a retirement program. It was the first of many wealth redistribution systems.
SCOTUS ruled that it was unconstitutional to force people to pay into a retirement program, I believe back in the 60s. FDR's people knew that back when they started it.
If it's a retirement program, why does Congress have to fund it for each new session?
And the means testing, Democrats would have never gone along with it. To do so would have meant that SS was a welfare program instead of a retirement plan.

No way. Inside 2 weeks they'll have the prison population under their control. One month and the guards will be their friends. Two months and they'll have enough dirt on the warden to blackmail him into acquiescence.
They'll have their own little kingdom.

The government is inverting cause and effect here. Women become lesbians because they're fat.

It must be easy being a lib. To solve the above problem, all we really need to do is stop threatening and try to placate them (with our money). There is no evil in the world. Only that which has been brought about by America's imperialism. If we would all just play footsie, the world would be blooming in unicorns, skittles, rainbows, puppehs and kittehs. Oh, and cute little baby elephants.

you FORCE them to work together? Who is the Commander-in-Chief? Who is
the Head of State for foreign affairs? How in the hell would this cut
down on partisanship?
Rock, Paper, Scissors?

GOP Leadership choosing the next "deserving" candidates
+ Republican cheerleader voters
= bitter clingers
Romney himself said not to ask him how to win. Why drag that bag of bones out for oracle advice? After GWB, McCain, Romney, '12 Convention "Leaders" striking party rules behind closed doors, go figure. Suan ming
Elitists fail to recognize the voters? Return the favor next ballot. Obviously, strike "electability" propaganda from dialog. Electability, a tinfoil hat.
By all means, remove the McCains and Grahams from re-election primaries. Those two have done FAR WORSE than the much maligned Snowe and Collins. When did Olympia ever sponsor a comprehensive immigration reform package, or the pharmaceutical bill requiring prescriptions to buy "over the counter" vitamins, etc.? Malicious leaders sponsor far more damage than followers, intentions aside. That Rubio gets back slaps from the Grahams is warning not to be advanced to Chief Executive.
Citizenry does itself no favor playing the whipping boy to authoritarians, regardless of party affiliation or ad campaign. We'd do ourselves well to focus support behind the policy efforts carried by Cruz, Paul, Lee.
Shout down the big government ventis...
