— andy Yesterday the WaPo claimed a hooker in the Daily Caller's report on Bob Menendez admitted she was lying. Today the DC tells WaPo, "you've got the wrong hooker."
If you've seen one Dominican hooker, you've seen 'em all, I guess.

And in her op-ed she calls for a big increase in the Earned Income Tax Credit and universal pre-school, ideas that while far less harmful than the minimum wage are also of dubious value.
The fact of the matter is the minimum wage only helps unions who have an automatic pay raise in their contract of the minimum wage is increased (which is why Obama wants it). The only people working for minimum wage are new-hires for the first 6 months and teenagers at fast food joints. Statistics have shown that every time they raise the minimum wage unemployment among youths goes up.

Radio said a CBS poll says 52% of Americans think they will be affected adversely by the sequester. (Miss Marple thinks 58% of Americans don't even know what the sequester is.) A similar per cent think that higher taxes should be balanced with spending cuts. (This would mostly be the people who do not pay taxes anyway, I assume.)
The over on NBC, according to Twitter Matt Lauer is "surprised at the lack of public outrage over the sequester" and urges Republicans to embrace a tax hike. (I assume the reason Lauer is surprised is because they have hauled out every scary story they could think up and people are ignoring it, possibly because they have turned off television news.)

It is not like many were raising the alarm of the long term disastrous consequences of having Obama in office and nominating commie SC justices, but no one seemed to care enough on the R side to point this out (racist I guess). Maybe Jesse Jackson Jr will be rested and ready within the two year timeline!
This is yet another reason that the 2016 elections are critical and yet I fear that the establishment RINO fellow travelers will derail any support for Constitutionalist candidates, and make sure their gravy train rolls on unimpeded by those redneck TEA party types. The current Senate would approve Karl Marx as an SC justice "because the President deserves to have his nominees approved".

Airports have denied a claim by Janet Napolitano, the secretary of homeland security, that the sequester is already causing long delays for travelers at security screening checkpoints.
Ms Napolitano said today that major airports were seeing lines “150 to 200 per cent as long as we would normally expect” as result of the federal spending cuts that went into force on Friday.
“We’re already seeing the effects at some of the ports of entry, the big airports, for example. Some of them had very long lines this weekend,” she told a breakfast event organised by Politico.
When pressed for specifics she cited Chicago’s O’Hare, Atlanta’s Hartfield-Jackson and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), adding: “I don’t mean to scare, I mean to inform.”
However, when contacted by The Daily Telegraph, spokespeople for both OÂ’Hare and LAX, as well as representatives from the travel industry, denied that airports had been hit by delays.
“We haven’t had any slowdowns at all,” said Marshall Lowe, a spokesman for LAX. Mr Lowe said that he had been on duty over the weekend and received no reports of unusual security delays.

KKK Figure Spotted on Oberlin Campus

I love that there's no explanation of what other "challenges" the campus has recently experienced that would "force" (FORCE!) the university to shut down all non-essential activity yesterday. Overreact much, Cleveland?
I'd also like to say that the headline is ridiculously bad. The witness spotted someone who looked like they MIGHT have been wearing KKK garb. This is because the Australian dollar is higher than the American. This is also why when you go to London a Big Mac costs you almost $5.00.
So companies that sell a lot of items overseas (like pharmaceuticals, petroleum, cars, etc.) are able to sell them for more in US dollars.

I think it will Anna. To me, this car represents freedom. I don't care if it isn't comfortable. I can ride a motorcycle for 12 hours straight and that is far from comfortable.

If only there were some magical site you could punch a few key words into (that should be obvious to you) and it came up as the first result.

Seems to me I remember posting about a hundred Mormons are kooks posts.

He also eluded to the GOP's "problem" with women. They're not as accepting of women in the spotlight or some such bull. I caught about 5 minutes of this marshmallow face on Hannity last night. I really dislike him and think he typifies many things that are wrong with the establishment GOP, and typifies why we keep losing and losing. I'd have a haaaard time pulling the lever for him, as well as a near impossibility were it to be Christie.

The Oberlin Student Senate issued its own email which read in part:
This has been another event in a string of several reflecting a terrible pattern of racism, prejudice, queerphobia, anti-semitism and other bias attacks that are happening on Oberlin's campus. At this time, advocacy, support and solidarity are necessary emotionally, physically and spiritually.
There is no investigation. They're just accepting it as fact which means it reeks as some leftist doing it as per usual. Is queerphobia new?

1. Perry was not screwed by the primary order, he screwed himself w/ bad debates. I say that as someone who was gonna vote for him knowing he was done come FL primary but voted Romney because Perry dropped out before I could vote.
2. The site is pay to watch. The video some are showing around is just a preview clip that's just a little bit of the longer, full video. It's a gimmick used to get guys to pay for longer videos.

Actually the only screwups I saw were on those worthless non-debates. If you watched one of his campaign speeches they were fine.
You folks are allowing the MFM to call your candidates again.
Posted by: Vic at March 05, 2013 05:21 AM (53z96)
Lol. No.
You were "screwed" by 1) Perry bumbling around like a half-dead fool on live national television and 2) Do you really think your favorite "conservative" states were going to pick a guy who thinks they're "heartless" for not prioritizing criminal aliens over their own children? Because that's not a conservative position at all.
Posted by: HeatherRadish™ #NukeIowaCity at March 05, 2013 05:22 AM (/kI1Q)
I freely admit he was a disappointment at the end, and I also underestimated the number of GOP voters who would stay home (or whose votes were "disappeared," take your choice).
Posted by: Miss Marple at March 05, 2013 05:23 AM (GoIUi)
I agree that the primary order is bullshit, but Perry did plenty to kill himself (before I get unloaded on, I was a Perry man so I'm not hating). Actually wouldn't mind seeing him go again -- minus the back surgery/drugs etc.
Problem is....he just reminded people too much of Bush....fumbling and stumbling is funny and endearing to a degree (forever if you are a Democrat...think Biden), but W just got lambasted about it for too long, too often.

1. Perry dropped in the polls following less then stellar debate performances. All this BEFORE one primary/caucus was held. How on Earth can you come to any other conclusion except that the early debates hurt him?
2. Really? are you some sort of porn expert now?
Typical.

What are you talking about? Most everyone commenting said they were a Perry supporter. As was I. Perry sucked ass in the debates due to meds from back surgery. It sucks ass, but it's the truth.
Posted by: BCochran1981 at March 05, 2013 05:27 AM (da5Wo)
Those so-called debates hosted by the MFM were designed to make all Republicans look bad, and the the more conservative they were they more they hit on them to make them look bad.
And here is another "pisser" for you. The head of the Republican Party was "satisfied" with the debates but thought we had too many. That is a recent statement by him.
Posted by: Vic at March 05, 2013 05:27 AM (53z96)
yep. me too. that to me was the biggest shocker of the night, Republicans sitting out such an important election.

I've been in Oberlin a few times in the last couple weeks and this whole story just defies belief. The funniest things have been these tv interviews with blacks on campus that are acting like they're in more danger than they would be in any urban shithole like Compton, the south side of Shitcargo, Gary or places other than a twatty liberal arts kollidge. Just stop being lying fuckheads.

Actually, I pretty much do agree with Vic on most things. In fact I would have voted for Perry if he had still been in during my state's primary and still think he would make a good Pres.
But you can't deny that for R voters (not I did NOT say voters who follow politics daily) his performance in the debate was problematical.
And Vic most assuredly is right that the primary system blows.
