I went to my doctor that I see for high blood pressure (routine yearly appointment) and on my records were detailed descriptions of a heart bypass and cardiac catheritization, neither of which I have ever had. Someone else's records got placed in my swell electronic file. They are going to have to do a big deal thing to correct it.
This is not only annoying, but actually dangerous, since those records are what they first pull up when you show up at an emergency room.
So check. This info came from the hospital my doc affiliated with. Until last year that erroneous record wasn't in my file.

Well, Vic, treating the area as a crime scene ensures that no evidence is contaminated/destroyed/lost/stolen/strayed if it *does* turn out to be anything other than an accident. The DFW Fox reporter mentioned something about "an abundance of caution," which seems warranted, IMO. It isn't likely to have been terrorism, as others have noted, but until they're sure, it makes sense to secure the evidence chain.

The ammonia in fertilizer is extremely volatile. The tank that exploded contained anhydrous ammonia. The odds are much, much higher that is was an accident than a deliberate explosion.

One of the mistakes that the media (willfully) makes is to confuse the number of people who are in favor of something in theory with the number of people who believe it is an important issue. Many years ago, I lived in Austin. There was a ballot initiative about restricting development in a specific part of town. The way it was phrased by the people pushing the issue was that a vast majority of citizens favored clean water. Well, of course they do. Who wouldn't? The issue actually was "Do you favor severely restricting growth in a certain part of town to achieve the goal of maybe, possibly having water that might be 1% cleaner?" Naturally, most people would answer differently.
That's what the media does. In theory, people may be in favor of something. Once they find out what it involves, not so much.

I'm not a lawyer, nor do I play one on the internet, but I don't know what difference it makes regarding where it is being adjudicated. A restraining order CAN be a felony charge. It depends on many factors, I would believe, but I'd hardly dismiss this because of the courthouse where he is appearing.
The guy is a creep. If he were a Democrat, you would say so.

He has enough of a track record that I think I can safely say that.
For some reason politics seems to attract people like that in greater numbers than other professions. Examples of recent memory include Ted Kennedy, Anthony Weiner, Bill Clinton, etc.
These people do stuff which by all rights should have driven them from public life. Instead, they just go on like everything is perfectly normal, because it is THEY who did whatever scummy thing they did. And then they proceed to castigate others for bad behavior, like they are saints or something.
It isn't confined to American politics, either. I have noticed the same tendency in England and Europe.
There is probably a psychological explanation for this, but I am not a psychiatrist.

For example, heart patients are often given blood thinners. Suppose I had a heart attack and am unconscious. They could delay giving me blood thinners under the assumption I already am on them.
Or suppose you are diabetic but your records don't show it because that information got put on someone else's records? You could be in a diabetic coma and they might assume you were drunk.
What if someone has an allergy to penicillin and that got left off the record?
I am seriously concerned about this. I am writing both the hospital and the head of the doctors' group today. I also might contact my Congressman.

This is the right kind:
1 C white vinegar
1C apple cider vinegar
1 T brown sugar
1 T cayenne pepper
1 T red pepper flakes
1 T hot pepper sauce (Texas Petes works well)
1 t salt
1 t black pepper
and for an added kick...1 DROP Daves Insanity Sauce
Mix it all up, put it in a Mason jar, put it in the fridge for a couple of days, shaking it up a couple of times per day to keep everything mixed up so the flavors will blend. Put it over pulled pork, smack your granny good.

I found the quality of the video she made with her son, All Seeing Eye, particularly low grade and the storyline a bit amateurish. However, the two of them rolling around naked on the basement floor cover in Cheeto dust was inspired. His performance of taking it in the ass from the donkey went on a bit long but the donkey did seem satisfied at the end. When his mom tried desperately to orally restimulate the donkey I felt sorry for her. Too bad the website is down again.

I can state that I am a victim of Obamacare. Under our insurance, we had three levels. The top level, which we use, had high premiums but low co-pays and no deductible. I have more than gotten my premiums back through the years. The lowest level had low premiums and a high deductible plus high co-pays. I found out the other day that the insurance company has decided that the top level is considered a "cadillac" plan, so they are dropping it. The middle level is OK, but there are greater out-of-pocket expenses. Also, they figured out that the bottom plan is way too generous since it is much higher than the minimum Obamacare standards, so they are reducing the benefits. Who could have seent his coming? Oh yeah, everyone except for the willfully ignorant.

Haven't read any of the comments thus far this morning, but wanted to thank you morons again for your prayers and good thoughts for those of us on the ground here in central Texas near the explosion. Much of the immediate chaos has organized, but it still looks like a war zone out here. Rain has diminished the fires, which are still smoldering. The injury reports must mainly be compiled by the hospitals, because they are vastly under-reporting injuries. I saw people last night who should have been under care who were pushing wheelchairs down the road to help others, and people in homes we were checking that didn't want to seek a doctor because "other people are worse off."
Door-to-door efforts are still going on, and probably will for days. This is a farming area, with people near the explosion that live a mile from anyone else on the back dirt or caleche rock roads.
People from out of town are showing up to loot, damn them to hell. I warn them that I came across many old ladies with guns in their hands last night who might have opened up on us during the rural checks if we hadn't been able to yell out some familiar names.
No good estimate of death toll yet, so not speculating. I ran into an EMT last night who everyone thought was dead. He said he was beginning to feel like he was Snake Plisskin ("I thought you were dead!").
The feds are coming in already, including the ATF.
Will be working the shelters today.
Thank you one and all again for your prayers. We need more. There are some damn fine people out here.
