Happy Wednesday.

We're starting to see some polling for 2016. Marquette Law School asked GOP voters in Wisconsin who they'd like to see run. 27% said Rep. Ryan. 21% said Sen. Rubio. 16% said Gov. Walker, 11% said Christie, 7% said Sen. Paul, Gov. Bush got 5% and Gov. Jindal squeaked in as the choice of 1%. Wisconsinite Democrats were more solid, with 62% choosing Sec. Clinton. Biden was named by 13%.

Sentences like this tickle me: "Democrats are privately befuddled by the White HouseÂ’s flat-footed handling of this P.R. and legal mess, blaming a combination of bad timing, hubris and communications ineptitude." "Privately," huh, which is why we're reading about it in the papers?

Someone noted on Twitter yesterday that being criticized by John Stewart will probably bother the President more than all kvetching by the White House journalists.

Yesterday, Minnesota became the 12th state (plus DC) to legalize gay marriage. It's the third state to do so this month.

Europe continues to circle the drain; France just joined the rest of the eurozone (except Germany) in recession.

Update: Forgot to mention that JohnE. and I will be on Bruce Carroll's Match Game tonight at the 405 Radio, along with Steven Crowder, Michael Graham, Kellie Maher, and Kristina Ribali. 7pm.

4 The IRS targeting of conservative groups is far broader than first reported, with nearly 500 organizations singled out for additional scrutiny, according to two lawmakers briefed by the agency.

7 NTSB wants to lower DUI in all 50 States to .05.  I guess MADD has been at it again.  There is no reason to do this except MADD has shifted from an anti-drunk driving org to a prohibition org.  Besides that, this BS is totally unconstitutional.  Contrary to what the assholes on the court say the feds cannot withhold highway funds because a State elects to keep its constitutional authority from a power mad federal government.

Levin was going through the IG report and blasting it for being so unspecific on who targeted conservative groups and under what supervision and direction,  He made it clear that Boehner has to get these cocksuckers in front of a committee, under oath, and start putting some fucking names to these faceless groups of specialists and find out just who was driving this clusterfuck express.  This may take weepy John away from his tanning booth and massive ingestion of salt tablets for when he cries his hamhock face off when his daughter marries that stoner asshole this weekend; but it's time he starts doing some fucking work for a change.

Speaking of lazy turds, the JEF and his catamite spokesman, Eric Stoltz, were blasted by the WSJ for acting like the IRS is "independent" of them.  Fuck that shit; they're part of the Treasury department which any asshole who's taken a course in Civics should know is a direct report to Ear Leader.  Just because McDivot is dumb as a plank and can't be bothered with the details of anything doesn't mean the he, or somebody like the Iranian Rodent, doesn't call all the fucking shots for how things are done.

Morning, ‘rons and ‘ronettes.

Last week, I told you a story about Cecil B. DeMille, Claudette Colbert and a snake during the filming of Cleopatra.  HereÂ’s another DeMille snake story, this time about twenty years before:

The year was 1914 and DeMille was shooting The Virginian.  For one scene, he had arranged to use a defanged California rattlesnake.  The scene was set, the reflectors ready, and DeMille called “Roll camera!”*, at the same time letting the snake loose.

It headed for the actor Monroe Salisbury, who was sitting on the ground with his knees drawn up.  The rattlesnake coiled between the actorÂ’s calves and thighs, and DeMille could see that Salisbury was nervous, even though he tried to hide it for the camera.  “DonÂ’t worry,” DeMille soothed.  “ItÂ’s all right.  HeÂ’s been defanged.”

Suddenly, DeMille heard a gulp and felt the propman tugging on his sleeve.  “HeÂ’s not defanged, Mr. DeMille!  The zoo man says they didnÂ’t defang him and neither did I!”

“Monroe,” DeMille told the stunned actor quietly, “donÂ’t move.  Sit perfectly still.  No one move – no one.”  For a minute or two, the entire set was silent as death as they waited.  Then the snake slithered away, one of the cowboys there shot it, and everyone breathed freely again.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

*this was how they ran in the early days; “Action!” came in soon thereafter, but I’ve yet to find a reference to the actual year.

Sounds like the JEF had a warrant, and went thru the FISA court. If so, the only argument is did they follow proper procedure notifying the AP. I think you have it at least half backwards.  First of all, the R candidate probably IS already decided, even if there are 14 people in the primaries and debates.  So yeah, they'll be attacking each other, but it's more about jockeying for '20.  Just like last time, we'll know who the nominee will be  way before votes start being counted.

The Dems on the other hand, may be "solid" behind Cankles right now, but that's because they aren't yet doing any actual running.  It won't be until well into primary season when their candidate emerges, and I am going to come as close to giving a 100% guarantee as I can that it's not going to be Hilary Clinton.

83 0.05BAC means the police can pop you for DUI easier. Which means you pay them more money, your insurance rates go up and you get to wear a scarlet DUI for the rest of your driving life. This. It's like two glasses of wine for an average size female in one hour. Couple beers for average size male. I call that a good start, not impaired. My son has some sort of ap for his phone that calculates his BAC for him. Where he lives the cops are everywhere, stopping everyone who even avoids a pothole and gives them reasonable cause.

That's easy- the side with the money.  How much money do the Pastors have?  How much does PP have?

There's the answer.  It's not a smart answer, and in the long run it will turn out to be the wrong answer.  Kind of like the answer to Stalin's infamous question about the Pope: "how many divisions does he have?"

But for now it's the answer- PP wins hands down.

I do think that it was done at Obama's direction,  but through golf meetings with pals who would carry the message to OFA, who would then instruct IRS employees who were OFA members to give extra attention to conservative groups.

Just as in all Chicago politics,  Obama has hidden himself with smokescreens and third parties,  so it won't be easy to catch him on the IRS thing ,  unless someone rats him out (unlikely).   What needs to be done is to get a list of the IRS employees involved,  check it against OFA membership roles,  and then look for emails to those people from an OFA upper-level person.  This won't be easy.

Can't have the infant next to you, where you can see and reach it easily, because there's laws against it, which had to be written because federal automotive safety mandates killed infants who were rode in the front seat next to Mom.  (Not coincidentally, the number of infants killed when the parent forgets they're in the backseat of the SUV where they can't be seen has skyrocketed.)

I summed it up this way, on another blog;

It's really simple, an Ambassador and three of his aides, two of them, former special forces, died fighting off a terrorist attack, the IRS prevented citizens from publically expressing their views, and the DOJ makes a mockery of freedom of the press, in order to obfuscate a series of self serving leaks,

It's becoming more apparent by the day that Choom Boy is once again about to skate on the commission of felonies, high crimes and misdemeanors, just as he has done for his entire adult life.

One of the primary reasons for this, IMO, is the "opposition" of so-called conservatives, who are either sitting fatly and contentedly in their bloggy chairs or shit-scared that liberals might criticize them. Or both.

If anyone were able to stand back one pace and look at this from an impartial perspective (leaving political affiliation, ax-grinding and race out of it), it would immediately be obvious that President Historic First© earned impeachment -- and jail -- early in his first term. Today? No other president would be rockin' and rollin' like Obama; they'd be cleaning out their desks and conferring with a lawyer to see if they could cop a plea.

What more do we have to face before someone on "our side" grows a pair and connects the dots?

Oh, what the hell. If it weren't for a criminal regime in power, no one would read NRO, Rude State or Poppin' Fresh at all. Limbaugh is rakin' in the dough because of Bark Obama, too; who'd listen to him if he had to comment on a decent, law-abiding, patriotic gang in D.C.?

I thought it was a giant red flag when he moved his political hedaquarters to Chicago.  It kept people in the White House and DC press from monitoring visitors and types of people entering and exiting.

From the very beginning of this presidency,  Obama has done almost everything under multiple layers of secrecy.  Somebody who operates that way routinely is up to no good.

192 Just as in all Chicago politics, Obama has hidden himself with smokescreens and third parties, so it won't be easy to catch him on the IRS thing , unless someone rats him out (unlikely). What needs to be done is to get a list of the IRS employees involved, check it against OFA membership roles, and then look for emails to those people from an OFA upper-level person. This won't be easy.

There are likely 14 cut-outs between JEF and the IRS, every one of which willing to take a bullet for him.  All it takes is people in the entertainment industry or the media.  Since those two groups are fiercely loyal to the Dems, no one would ever dare to rat him out.  The stink of this will never reach him.

I have a similar problem.  I'm the IT guy for a school district.  When I don't have anything going on, I wander around to the various schools to see if they need anything.  Usually, I hang around a while because I know that word spreads quickly that I am there.  Once one of the payroll people was there doing some stuff and she came back and complained to my boss that I was doing nothing.  In the next week, I was by their office 3 different times in the middle of the afternoon where they were sitting at a conference table eating cake while celebrating someone's birthday.  In each case, they were there in excess of 45 minutes.

So once more I blew past her (we were still outside the building, other people milling around, wondering what this harpy was going on about), and said "you must be high."

Not another word emerged from that gaping maw.   It was delightful.

Have thought the same since Ogabe's immaculation.  My company used to do work for the Federal government regularly to identify  process improvements and save money (average of 30% reduction in costs per study).  We have not had a Federal government contract since January  2009.  Not many studies to improve operations or reduce costs since 2009 and where there is, our bids do not provide the "best value" despite a long string of successes.  However, the winning bidders, in every case, are liberal companies with little to no track records.  Makes one go...hmmmm..

There is the way unions were put before bondholders in the car bankruptcies. There is a PATTERN HERE.

337 Serious question: In past administrations, didn't Presidents get regular briefings from their Secretaries on the goings-ons of the various Departments of the Executive Branch? Wasn't it assumed that Secretaries or their assistants would brief the President and that the President would ask questions? I have started looking at the daily schedule of the President at whitehousedossier.com and I don't see those briefings. In other words, how is it that Carney can say with a straight face that the President learns about the goings-on of his administration from news reports? If the Secretary of Treasury's IRS is being investigated, how is it possible that the Secretary doesn't report that to the President?

356    Media now  you say you like the constitution , where just days ago you shrieked  at americans for wanting to save their rights from being taken by the administration.

you denied with this administration  that a obscure video guy had the right to speak his mind  however stupidly on islam. totally willing to have the govt  jail him and  fervently castigate and sic others on him for using the rights of a citizen to disparage their chosen issue.Whether the guy deserves to pay a price for His parole violation has little to do with the fact that from the beginning this administration decided it was a good idea to Jail a guy for Speech  They didn't approve of, That He had a previous violation is beside the Point!

You assisted and allowed the Attack on a private citizen Joe The Plumber for responding to an idea  The President stated , You disallowed the Opinion He shared with the public and then Used You power to try to destroy him? why  speech you didn't like.

I am cynical that all of the sudden you have found your regard for rights of citizens and your job as Journalists  given special rights to share information . you only care that You were the ones gored when they decided to intrude on Your rights and your personal  lives, You are not special anymore than Joe The Plumber, or any american citizen, we share the constitution  It is our blessing from the Forefathers. for All of us.

you outed gun owners not for committing a crime but that they Had a Right you disagreed with.

you've spent the last 4+ years calling  speech  and dissent not a right, but racism  and using Your right to speech an opinion to threaten anyone that disagreed with the massive growth of govt.

There is a reason they keep calling it a "civil right."

Because it means they get to force their lifestyle upon anyone and everyone.

If you want proof of the President's involvement - there it is: the Secretary never even thought to report it because he knew Obamao already knew all about it - having been knee deep in everything to start with.

Oh, by the way, the policy of the IRS had to change for the targeting to occur, and only the POTUS can change the policy of a federal agency.
