Nat Rev online, again via Drudge, reports that another Hillary! movie is in the works:
NBC isn’t the only entertainment entity making a Hillary film in the run-up to the next presidential election. Director James Ponsoldt plans to release Rodham in 2016. It will focus on her early years with Bill Clinton and her tenure as a 27-year-old junior counsel on the House Judiciary Committee when President Nixon was impeached. Actresses Scarlett Johansson, Reese Witherspoon, and Amanda Seyfried are all front-runners for the role. “You don’t find people who question the quality of her intelligence or her drive,” Ponsoldt says. “I want a wonderful actress who could embody that.” Somehow I don’t think the script will require an actress to embody other, perhaps less appealing, aspects of Hillary Clinton’s modus operandi.
In March 2008, as Hillary Clinton was running for president, Jerry Zeifman — the chief counsel to the House Judiciary Committee at the time of Nixon’s impeachment and a lifelong Democrat — expressed his profound disappointment with her work on the committee. Among her transgressions were lying, removing files from the committee offices without permission, and arguing that Nixon shouldn’t be allowed any legal counsel before the committee. “I terminated her employment on the Nixon impeachment staff,” he told me. “My only regret was I had not reported her unethical practices to the appropriate bar associations. I could not recommend her for any subsequent position of public or private trust.”

Morning, Horde.
You know, I’ve really got to stop looking at the posts I’ve missed while offline; the Obama “usurping my authority” thread has me so mad I am literally shaking with rage as I type this. So, in order not to say anything that Ace will ban my ass for, here’s a quick story about the director John Farrow (Mia’s father):
You can understand MiaÂ’s quirky nature by knowing that her father had a reputation as an arrogant, sadistic man, and on more than one occasion his sharp tongue sent an actress running to her dressing room in tears. During the 1940s, Farrow worked mostly on the Paramount lot. In the courtyard between the administrative building, the producersÂ’ building and the production offices was a pond stocked with goldfish. Repeatedly, Farrow would be seen standing beside the pond, a silver-tipped cane in his hand, hitting goldfish over the head. It seemed to be his favorite pastime.

Look the American people basically had the chance to have the law makers be "under law"...
they decided the "war on tampons" and "rape shields" and "war on wommynz" was a big enough deal to keep Searchlight Stalker in Power in the Senate and Ogabe Lord of the highest span of spiked UE in history on the throne...
Boner can scream every day and at most get the newsies to stop sucking Ogabe's dick and discuss "John Boner's Extremism"...
wrap your head around that notion....

That's something that I would like to see get more play with Weiner, btw. It would be incredibly difficult to defend him against a claim of sexual harassment, even if a total lie, given his history. It's part of the reason why he needs to get an elected position. No private company is going to take on that risk.

"The best definition I’ve found for Christian hope goes something like this: “Christian hope is the absolute assurance welling up in the heart of the Christian that God is in complete control, and that He will do what He has promised to do, according to His schedule and by whatever means He chooses”.
So when the Bible says something like this:
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. (Hebrews 10:23)What that means is: you can believe it! It’s an absolute certainty. It’s a done deal. You have God’s Word on it."
From website wordblessings.com

A.) The President has apparently decided that Congress cannot do the job of steering the course of the Republic, and that he must do so. That the representatives of the people, and thus the people themselves, are incapable of self-government and must accept a protectorate status under his tutelage.
To which I can only say that if I had mingled in the communities he did in Chicago, and if I was as intimately familiar with the constituencies of the Democratic Party as he is, then I would perhaps also conclude the people are incapable of self-governance, and must merely be handed money.
B.) Different note--I see Mayor Kasim Reed of Atlanta has appeared in Washington to start a new effort to "sniff out" voter discrimination at the polls. Photo with Al Sharpton, the whole shebang.
Now, when it comes to Reed, the only deliberate governmental discrimination I am aware of is when his city administration refused to permit Tea Party type folks to protest in a downtown Atlanta park and then opened up the place wide for the Occupy Crowd--till that crowd did what anybody of sense should have known, which is acted so irresponsibly so as to demand removal.
I know Mr. Reed looks forward to one day being Senator and Governor of his state, and he may well get it. But frankly, I cannot see how he is not going to make that state into one continuing moral pogrom and Reign of Terror against white folk, looking for agent provacateurs under every couch cushion. I'm sure he will have the support of things like the local paper, which has a fine Jaques-Louis David as an editorial cartoonist (ready to take on the revolutionary enemies at every step), but I honestly see Atlanta becoming a very unfriendly place in the future on its present trajectory, as it loses its distinctiveness and starts on the path to Detroit.
I think Mr. Reed would be best served leaving Atlanta and going to Washington in a non-legislative capacity.

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. (Hebrews 10:23)What that means is: you can believe it! Its an absolute certainty. Its a done deal. You have Gods Word on it."

.............
One must first believe in a God who makes promises and is willing to intervene in the lives of men. Which is especially ironic considering Allah is the same God as Yahweh, the God of Abraham.

I'm no theologian, but I think that there is an ample amount of evidence to show that allah is NOT the same entity as the God of Abraham.

Not today, I guess.

Considering Islam was invented for the express purpose of stopping Christian and by extension Roman hegemon that'd be a good bet...
stating you're the natural evolution of something doesn't mean you're in fact tied in any way to the originator.
Show one deference to precedent in Islam as Christianity overtly gives credibility to the tenets of Judaism not superceded by Jesus' direct word....
you cannot find it....it is how the Imams play their games as a matter of fact.

Gaia demands human sacrifices. Propane also makes a very effective drop in automotive A/C replacement for R-134a. Sleazy shops in Miami were using it for years. Customers drove away happy with icy cold A/C.
Sure, people were killed and burned beyond recognition when their systems leaked and their shit blew up, but that's a small price to pay.

I feel like the entire Congress is half communist and half full of used car salesmen who are trying to keep their worthless in-laws on the payroll. I can only count about 5 members in both houses for which I have any sort of admiration.

I'd love to read a book that lays out Ruby's story with some degree of accuracy. The man was clearly a nut-case no matter which conspiracy theory you believe. IIRC, Mel Belli was his attorney when he was tried for shooting Oswald, and ol' Mel was not at all impressed with his grip on reality.

He fisked the attack, but I didn't read the New Yorker piece so the fisking was not too meaningful to me. Sorry for no linky on that one.

Apparently -- and who the hell really knows? -- Ruby began showing signs of serious problems, toward the end of his trial. These only worsened while Belli was preparing his appeal, and Ruby died before a retrial was granted.
It's really difficult to pinpoint when the rot really set in.
My theory, for what it's worth (which is exactly nothing) is that the major players on the Bad Side of the Kennedy assassination were all batshit crazy, and that didn't match the narrative of either the Warren Commission or nuts like Mark Lane.
