— andy David Brooks on Ted Cruz:
“What’s going on in the House, and a bit in the Senate, too, is what you might call the rise of Ted Cruz-ism,” Brooks said. “And Ted Cruz, the senator from Canada through Texas, is basically not a legislator in the normal sense, doesn’t have an idea that he’s going to Congress to create coalitions, make alliances, and he is going to pass a lot of legislation. He’s going in more as a media-protest person. And a lot of the House Republicans are in the same mode. They’re not normal members of Congress. They’re not legislators. They want to stop things. And so they’re just being — they just want to obstruct.”
My response:
MOAR TED CRUZ!!!

Good Morning Morons. Today is Monday, September 16, 2013. OK, something for you MA Morons. On this day in 1630 the Massachusetts village of Shawmut changed its name to Boston. Two days later they elected a Kennedy for their first Mayor.

School systems have no problem, and jump all over themselves, to remove anything remotely smelling of religion at the request of a single rabid atheist. And sometimes it doesn't even take that. But woe to anyone who takes offense at this kind of crap or stuff like children putting condoms on cucumbers.

A Los Angeles woman is suing an area hospital after one of its surgeons affixed a fake mustache to her upper lip and fake tears and then photographed her – all while she was still under anesthesia.
This is bizarre behavior by doctors and not only should they be sued, but they should have their licenses pulled.

Oh and NYT? You're not fooling anybody by calling him "conservative".
You know he's not, HE knows he's not and most importantly the rest of the WORLD knows he's not a conservative.
Unless your style book states that conservatives are wish washy rinos with 5 o'clock shadow at 1pm, glasses and a puss mouth who adores EVERYTHING liberals do and HATES anything liberals hate.
Then you may be accurate.
But I don't think so.

The case was Zadvydas v. Davis, 533 U.S. 678 (2001) and it is a damn model of shitty bench tampering by the liberals and creates a host of unintended consequences like the above. However, it does NOT say that these people must be released back out into our streets just because their home country will not take them back. We could dump them out of airplanes from 50,000 feet over the nearest ocean and tell them to swim to their country of choice. <snarc>
The other question is why haven't we heard about this case until now?

"an idea that heÂ’s going to Congress to create coalitions, make alliances, and he is going to pass a lot of legislation"
So it is the job of a Senator to pass bills, whether we need them or not. That is wrong on so many levels.
How about a Senator that wants to eliminate waste, fraud and corruption?

Don't just get mad at those who falsely acquire the phones, get mad at the companies who have created packages that qualify for the government benefit for profiting from the program and who have little incentive to police those who are users.
That goes for all the grocery stores, corner shops and 7-11's and stores that are similar.
Vent some of your anger and upset at them. They profit from sales and for processing those benefits.

There are a LOT of questions about this event that will probably go unanswered as the race mongers get involved in the case. Most likely the guy was shookup and not thinking straight and the woman who was woken up at 2:30 am was half asleep, scared, and not thinking straight.
Plus, we have had a lot of home invasions lately by thugs using female decoys beating on the door seeking "assistance". Three of those in the little town I live near this year.

Morning, all. Only time for a quick story today, since I have an early meeting:
In his book, Confessions of a Cineplex Heckler, the writer Joe Queenan went out one day as a representative of the “Joe Pesci Indemnification Society,” catching people who’d come out of a showing of Pesci’s latest cinematic stinker and offering them a refund of their ticket price.
It so happened that, one Thanksgiving, Dorothy Lamour and her husband, back east to visit the family, went to dinner at the Belvedere Hotel. While they were there, a young sailor came over to the table. “Miss Lamour,” he began, “I saw your last four pictures and they were terrible. I want my dollar and sixty cents back.”
Too astonished to reply, Lamour reached into her purse and pulled out two dollars. But as the sailor pocketed the money, she suddenly regained her poise. “Excuse me,” she said before the man could leave, “I’d like my forty cents change, please.”
Hope you all have a wonderful day.

I believe a few days ago , CatoInstitute' had said Cruz could be President
That single-parent requirement has been amended several times, but under the law in effect between 1952 and 1986 — Cruz was born in 1970 — someone must have a citizen parent who resided in the United States for at least 10 years, including five after the age of 14, in order to be considered a natural-born citizen. Cruz’s mother, Eleanor Darragh, was born in Delaware, lived most of her life in the United States, and gave birth to little Rafael Edward Cruz in her 30s. Q.E.D.
So why all the brouhaha about where Obama was born, given that thereÂ’s no dispute that his mother, Ann Dunham, was a citizen? Because his mother was 18 when she gave birth to the future president in 1961 and so couldnÂ’t have met the 5-year-post-age-14 residency requirement. Had Obama been born a year later, it wouldnÂ’t have mattered whether that birth took place in Hawaii, Kenya, Indonesia, or anywhere else. (For those born since 1986, by the way, the single citizen parent must have only resided here for five years, at least two of which must be after the age of 14.)

Morning morons.
Echoing again what others said about Cruz. The primary point of Congress is not to pass laws. It is to pass good laws and to get rid of bad ones. I am uncertain as to if we have enough of the former, but we suffer from an overabundance of the latter. I would be fine with making new laws a back-burner issue until we clear out the overabundance of sh*tty ones.

As far as I can tell, it's all fraud.

These people are going to pay some tiny fraction of the $100K+ they play on receiving every year--and some of that fraction won't even be out of their own pocket, there's a subsidy.
That's not insurance. That's a shakedown.
We'll need a thousand millenials paying the $95 tax/fee/penalty to make up for that...oh, wait, that money doesn't go to the people forced to pay out, it goes to the fascist scrunts restricting the lives of the rest of us.

I'm back. In other MA new, Marsha Marsha Coakley has thrown her pantsuit in the ring for the governorship. Her GOP opponent will be Charlie Baker, who was lambasted by the fuckers at the Globe as being too "mean" and "angry" the last time he ran. Considering the lousy shape this shithole state is in, Baker ought to be angry. And he really ought to slice a fucking hammer on Coakley for what she did to Gerald Amirault; if there were any justice, the bitch would be looking at lifetime PMITA prison for the way she railroaded the poor guy.
But Baker's an establishment RINO. Which means he'll play nice and lose.
The GOP needs to die.
As does Massachusetts.

They say he is not a man or honor.

I'm thinking of driving five hours to the Brewers' Fan Appreciation Night, because this year they should be giving out good shit to everybody still showing up.
And I'm out of Wheat Monkey.

Tried watching Sox/Yanks but after about the 15th or so reference to beards and fake beards, I couldn't take it anymore.
National MFM Sports coverage sucks.
If they want to cover beards how bout Bill and Shrill or Weiner and Alligator Mouth.

Where are we on the Itsy Bitsy Drone Strike? Heard a TFG quote where he was saying "America doesn't do small strikes" - is he doing the puffy chest thing again?

They’re not normal members of Congress. They’re not legislators. They want to stop things. And so they’re just being — they just want to obstruct.
Well, don't just do something, stand there!
